Halo is a 5-month-old Yorkie searching for her forever home. This tiny girl loves being your little shadow — wherever you go, she wants to be right by your side. She’s currently working on her potty training and is making great progress. Halo has already mastered the doggy steps and fully believes that bedtime means snuggling up with her humans. Halo loves kids and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. Because she’s still a young puppy, she will need a playful canine companion in her forever home to help keep her company and continue building her confidence. If you’re looking for a loyal little sidekick with lots of love to give, Halo may be your perfect match! Puppies are very popular, so please note ONLY homes meeting the below requirements will be considered. This ensures the best overall environment for these little bundles. Applicant MUST have: * Another young playful dog in the house to help the puppy with stimulation and learn to be a dog. * No first time dog owners * Household member age appropriate to physically care for the dog for entire life (16 years) * Children old enough to treat puppy with responsibility and care * Within local area to use rescue vet partner to complete all vaccinations and spay/neuter Please don’t apply unless you meet the above criteria. Story
Oreo's birthday is August 6, 2024. Unfortunately, he has consistently demonstrated aggressive resource-guarding behavior, specifically when he gets into human food. He will jump to take food and/or wrappers out of the trash can, off the dining table, out of your hand, etc. We've tried everything we can afford, and he continues to aggressively growl and bite if you try to take the human food away from him. He has bitten both my 10-year-old and me at this point. He appears to be extremely anxious (confirmed by groomer), so he needs someone patient and kind, with the ability to spend MULTIPLE hours every day with him. He seems to get along fine with other small dogs, but he growled and snapped at our neighbor's 40-50 lb. German Shepherd puppy when she tried to play with him. A small dog playmate to learn from may be just what he needs, but he definitely needs a home with NO CHILDREN. We have too many children in and out of our home every day to keep him here and keep them safe.

Charlie is a good easy dog however he does require attention. If he’s not given that attention that he will relieve himself inside the home. He is crate trained however he does bark at the smallest of outside noises or perceived intrusions (Amazon deliveries). He needs to go on walks and is typically high energy. He requires attention and will do very well with an owner/family that can give him that. I do not think he does well in a home that has other dogs. I think that was our downfall with Charlie.

Olive is an absolute cutie who loves cuddles. We acquired her when she was a puppy in August of 2018. As of this writing Olive is right at 7 1/2 years old. Olive is active, loving, engaged, and protective. If something's going on she's good at letting you know (especilly when a freezer door is left open!) We're simply looking for a loving home for Olive. We've newly become empty-nesters and our busy schedules mean we can't give sweet Olive all she needs to be happy. She does have a sister named Cali. We are rehoming her as well. Our vet knows them says it's not a necessity that they stay together, but if you'd like another dog - they're great together!

Gizmo is a goofy boy who wants to love you but expects things to be his way. He is typical for a lhasa with a little bit of tude (lhasatude) so will need an owner that understands by being a true leader. If this role isn't obvious, he thinks he has to do it and that role is too much for a doggy to have. If you have experienced this with dogs, you know it is awesome when you carry the role and have a loyal follower at your side.

Meet Albert! Albert is a 20-month-old little guy with a big personality. He lost one eye early in life, but that hasn’t slowed him down one bit. He’s playful with his person, adores his walks, and absolutely lives for tummy rubs—if you stop too soon, he’ll gently reach out with his paw to ask for more! Albert has had some early liver issues, which are now well managed with a special diet that he’ll need to stay on for life. He’s also working on an “attitude adjustment”—sometimes he can be a little spicy with other dogs or when asked to do something he’s not thrilled about. He’s already making progress with the help of anxiety medication and responds well to verbal correction. Because of this, Albert would do best in an adult-only home where he can be the star of the show and also no stairs for this boy. He rides beautifully in the car, sleeps quietly at night on his pallet in the bedroom, and has impeccable potty manners. With daily walks to help trim his waistline and keep his mind happy, Albert will be a loyal, loving companion for the right person.
