Story
If you’ve ever dreamed of a Husky with movie-star looks and perfect manners — Milton is your guy. This handsome Husky recently got his freedom from the shelter and immediately showed everyone what an incredible companion he is. After being rescued, Milton joined his rescuers for a café outing where he calmly settled under their chairs, slept peacefully while they ate, didn’t beg for food, and behaved like an absolute gentleman from start to finish. Truly, a perfect angel. Milton has a steady, well-balanced personality that makes him stand out. He’s polite, observant, and seems to understand how to exist beautifully in human spaces. Whether you’re grabbing coffee with friends, working from home, or heading out for a walk, Milton is the kind of dog who will quietly and loyally stay by your side. At around three years old, he’s past the chaotic puppy phase but still has plenty of life, love, and adventure ahead of him. He would thrive in a home that appreciates a calm, well-mannered companion, someone who wants a dog they can truly share life with. Milton waited patiently for his second chance. Now he’s ready to give his whole heart to the person who chooses him.

Story
Meet Roscoe, a boy who has already survived more than any dog should have to. For months he was left outside with barely enough food or water to get by, slowly wasting away with no one coming to help. Then Jackie and Frank stepped in, opening their home to him when he needed it most, and without them there’s a real chance he wouldn’t be here today. Somehow, after everything he’s been through, Roscoe still loves people. He’s dog friendly, kid friendly, and just wants to be close to the people around him. He hasn’t been cat tested yet, so we’re still learning what he prefers there. Roscoe is ready for his forever family now. If you want to be the person who shows him what it means to never be abandoned again, we’d love for you to apply.

Story
Rufus is a mellow, easygoing guy who’s ready to settle into a home where he has room to stretch out and relax. He thrives in a larger space and needs a home with a yard where he can enjoy the outdoors at his own leisurely pace. Housetrained and well-mannered, Rufus makes a smooth transition into home life. This sweet boy is family-friendly and has a special way of leaning in for affection, quietly asking for love and connection. He does best with another young med/large dog in the home close in age and medium energy activity level that he can romp and wrestle with. He may be able to live with calm dog savvy cats as he has made friends with the neighborhood cat in his foster’s yard. Rufus is still skittish of many things, narrow spaces, loud noises, crowded places so living in a non urban environment may be a best match for him. If you’re looking for a calm, loyal companion who enjoys both space and snuggles, Rufus might be just the perfect addition to your home.

Story
I am at Oakland Animal Services in kennel Dog G:4Oban – Calm, Independent, and Easygoing Oban is a 9-year-old Alaskan Malamute mix weighing 84 pounds. This sweet senior has a calm, independent personality and is wonderfully easy to handle. Easygoing on walks: Oban walks nicely on leash, with only occasional moderate pulling, enjoying leisurely walks and sniffing. Calm and independent: Oban is content doing his own thing. After some time sniffing around the yard, he happily settles and chills. He doesn’t seek out pets nor constant attention, but he remains calm and pleasant in his surroundings. Curious about the world: Oban sometimes takes an interest in people and dogs passing by, quietly observing what’s happening around him. Patient and tolerant: Oban showed an impressive amount of patience during a two-hour bath and brushing session, taking the experience in stride. Oban would be a great fit for someone who appreciates a calm, independent senior companion. He would do best with appropriately matched dogs, as a solo dog with appropriate dog friends.September 14, 2026, 3:07 pm

Story
Meet Nala! Nala is a beautiful 4-year-old Malamute mix with a sweet personality and a gentle heart. Found as a stray, she`s now ready to find a family of her own where she can finally settle in and thrive. Nala is easy to leash, walks nicely by your side, and absolutely loves attention. She enjoys being petted all over and will happily lean into you for extra affection, making it clear she`s soaking up every bit of love she can get. While Nala is friendly and easygoing, she hasn`t had much formal training, so she`ll benefit from a patient adopter who`s excited to teach her basic manners and help her build confidence. She`s eager to bond with her people and has all the potential to become a wonderful companion. When meeting another dog, Nala was polite, calm, and preferred to quietly do her own thing. She may enjoy living with another respectful dog, and a meet-and-greet with any resident dogs is recommended to ensure everyone is a good match. One important thing to know about Nala: she`s an incredibly talented escape artist! She`ll need a home with very secure fencing and an adopter who is home frequently or can closely supervise her time outdoors. With the right setup, she`ll be a safe, happy, and loyal member of the family. If you`re looking for a loving companion who enjoys affection, peaceful walks, and is ready to learn, Nala could be the perfect addition to your home. Come meet this gorgeous girl and see if she`s the missing piece of your family!

Story
Cabo is a three-and-a-half-year-old Pit Bull and Akita mix with a wonderfully chill vibe and a truly unique charm. Built like a little powerhouse with bulky shoulders and narrow hips, he has a slightly funny, endearing walk that perfectly matches his slow, easygoing pace on leash. Cabo is a dog who believes life is best enjoyed in the slow lane, making him a dream walking companion for anyone who prefers a relaxed stroll over a frantic run. While he is cautious when first meeting new people, his trust is incredibly rewarding to earn. Once he warms up to you, he will gladly show you his favorite quirk: because of his unique build, he has a hard time reaching his own neck to scratch it, so he absolutely loves it when his human friends step in to handle neck-scratching duty for him.In terms of his social life, Cabo is dog-neutral. He is perfectly content to coexist and ignore other dogs on walks, though he prefers to keep to himself and would do best as the only pet in the home where he can get all the neck scratches to himself. Cabo is looking for a patient, low-key home that understands he just needs a little time to assess new friends before showing his sweet, affectionate side. If you are looking for a calm, loyal companion to share quiet moments and slow walks with, Cabo is ready to settle into his forever retirement-paced lifestyle with you. ***ADOPTION FEE SPONSORED*** Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 57 Age: 3yrs 5mths 4wks

Story
Meet Igor, a Miranda's Rescue survivor. They say the eyes are the window to the soul, and one look into Igor's ice-blue gaze will stop you in your tracks. This striking black-and-white Siberian Husky has been waiting for the one person who will look right back and say, "I've got you." Igor hasn't had the easiest road. Rescued through Miranda's Rescue, he hasn't found a place to call home yet, not because he isn't worthy, but because the right match hasn't come along. He needs someone who understands that the best things take time and patience. About Igor True to his Husky roots, Igor is an escape artist, he's clever, curious, and always looking for adventure just beyond the fence line. He has already completed training and is currently enrolled in an active training program specifically focused on his separation anxiety. He's putting in the work; now he just needs a home that will honor that effort. Igor does best with larger dogs and would thrive alongside a calm, confident canine companion. He is not a good fit for homes with small dogs or cats. Igor doesn't need perfection, he needs permanence. He needs someone who will look into those ice-blue eyes, see the dog he's becoming, and choose him anyway. If that sounds like you, Igor has been waiting to meet you.

Good with dogs, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Meet Paris, a beautiful husky with the kind of ice blue eyes that stop you in your tracks and a grin that seems to say she has decided today is going to be a good day. Paris has been through more than a dog her age should have to face. Her ears tell part of that story, showing signs that someone once handled her with a pair of scissors instead of kindness. But if you ask Paris about her past, she will not dwell on it. She would much rather show you her tennis ball collection or convince you that the couch cushion next to her has your name on it. She is currently working through a training program, learning that the world can be soft and predictable and full of people who keep their promises. She is doing beautifully. Paris gets along well with other dogs and enjoys their company, whether that means a good zoomie session in the yard or simply curling up nearby for a nap. The one thing her future family should know is that she can be food reactive, so mealtimes and high value treats are best managed with a little structure, something her training team can walk you through. At her core, Paris is a wonderfully laid back girl who also knows how to let loose and play when the mood strikes. She is not asking for a perfect life. She is just looking for a family willing to let her be a little bit silly, a little bit snuggly, and completely herself. If you have room in your home and your heart for a husky who has already shown so much resilience, Paris would love to meet you.
