People had previously seen him being walked by an elderly man near Del High Park, but no one could find that gentleman and Sammy was taken to the shelter. He was checked in, given an impound number and sat there waiting for his family to find him. His time was running out, no one came for him, and the shelter had now given him a euthanasia date. We rescued Sammy and put up signs in the area in which he was found, hoping his owner would see them, but no one ever responded.This super fluffy guy with the biscuit paws is thought to be around 4-5 years old and isnâ&#194&#128&#194&#153t a high maintenance diva. Heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s been through so much already and we would love nothing more than to help him find his forever family! Sammy loves to play with toys and with entertain himself or play with you!The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). My neighbor is deceased. He left behind 4 dogs. 2 have been re-homed. 2 remain. The renter/roommate is currently caring for the dogs but home will soon be on the market to sell. Rocky is good on leash. He takes food from my hands. He does well with my 13yr old son. He likes belly rubs. I'm not sure how he dies with other dogs but does well with the other dog, Ruger, in the house. I'm worried these dogs will end up the local shelter. I think I should be able to cover adoption fee. Hennessy is low key kind of guy who goes with the flow and enjoys hanging out in my living room and sun bathing in the court yard. Not a mean bone in his body and he understands English quite well! He was living life at the end of a chain when several young women intervened in an effort to rescue him, and then he disappeared — quite apparently he had been dubbed in the neighboring city and through Facebook he was tracked by kind strangers who posted his whereabouts until ultimately found just a couple of days ago . All adoption fees cover the mandatory and non-negotiable spay/neuter, rabies, microchip, microchip registration, full sets of core vaccinations (rabies and 1 set of distemper/parvo for adults, 4 for puppies) and deworming. Adoption fees vary based on age, breed, size and the costs incurred on the dog's behalf by us i.e. medical, behavioral training, etc.
