Sokka is an awesome dog. He loves to play fetch and tug of war. He is great on walks and loves to be outside. He is great with our 1.5 year old baby and 3 kids as well as our 2 y/o Pyrenees and 6y/o heeler mix. He is crate trained and very smart and very food driven. We simply do not have the time to nurture his curiosity and playfulness as we had anticipated. We adopted him in hopes of giving Blueberry, our Pyrenees, a play buddy at night as they guard our 25 chickens. However, Sokka has a pretty strong prey drive and is constantly harassing the chickens and our two kittens making it difficult to keep him in the house. We are looking for a loving home with space and someone with the time to give him the attention he deserves.

People had previously seen him being walked by an elderly man near Del High Park, but no one could find that gentleman and Sammy was taken to the shelter. He was checked in, given an impound number and sat there waiting for his family to find him. His time was running out, no one came for him, and the shelter had now given him a euthanasia date. We rescued Sammy and put up signs in the area in which he was found, hoping his owner would see them, but no one ever responded.This super fluffy guy with the biscuit paws is thought to be around 4-5 years old and isnâ&#194&#128&#194&#153t a high maintenance diva. Heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s been through so much already and we would love nothing more than to help him find his forever family! Sammy loves to play with toys and with entertain himself or play with you!The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Sebastian is a young, joyful dog, somewhere between one and three years old. We were originally thinking he might be a samoyed husky mix but we now think he might be a malamute. Either way, he's an adorable bundle of fluffy joy! He has the kind of happy puppy energy that makes him instantly lovable. He’s been gentle and friendly with the other dog in his foster home and loves to play. He’s also great with kids and loves being part of the action. At home, he’s a soft, cuddly goof who adores toys and wants to be wherever his people are. He’s still working through some normal young dog habits, like pulling hard on leash, so he’ll need a bit of structure and consistency while he settles in. Sebastian has a vet appointment this week and will be neutered shortly after. You’re welcome to apply to adopt him now, but he won’t be ready to go home until he’s recovered from his neuter. If you’re looking for a sweet, playful companion who’s ready to learn and eager to bond, he’s a fantastic match.
