Story
Did someone order up a hunk of beef? Well, here's Phil E. Cheesesteak, the big, lovable beefcake who's ready to steal your heart! At first, during doggie playgroups, Phil was a bit awkward, but once he settled in, he showed just how sweet and respectful he can be-especially during his slow and polite greeting with a female play partner. When he starts bouncing around, though, it's pure comedy gold! This big guy might need a little time to warm up, but once he's in his element, he's all about the fun. If you're craving a big ol' bundle of joy, Phil E. Cheesesteak is ready for his forever home. Don't wait-order up this cheesy, playful hunk today! He enjoys a good bath - check out his post-bath time zoomies: https://youtu.be/GPL6M60pXAQ?si=MMU_xDVk3LW-FpoWIf you're interested in learning more about him, please reach out to our volunteer matchmakers at wcac.matchmaker@gmail.com with the subject line "Phil E. Cheesesteak 257866".He is up to date on vaccinations, flea/tick, and heartworm prevention, is microchipped, and will be neutered prior to going home. If you have dogs or cats, we recommend slow introductions over time. If you have children in your home, we recommend supervision between animals and children at all times. Story
This pet was brought in as a stray and will NOT be available for adoption through our program. All stray animals brought in are posted on the gallery to hopefully be reunited with their families. Each pet is evaluated upon arrival, and throughout their stay, at the Animal Center and we do our best to place the animal in the setting most appropriate for them. Sometimes, they may be better served through one of our Transfer Partners due to the intervention needed, ongoing care required or a quieter setting for that individual. We want our animals to put their best paw forward. If you are a 501c3 rescue and are interested in partnering with WCAC to help this pet, and others, you can find more information on how to help at: https://www.wakegov.com/departments-government/animal-services/community-partners/transfer-program If this is your pet, please contact us immediately at AnimalCenter@wake.gov Primary Color: Brown Secondary Color: White Weight: 46 Age: 1yrs 0mths 0wks

Story
Daisy June (“DJ”) is looking for her forever home. She is about 2 years young, house- and crate-trained, dog social, and very people social. DJ is high energy and would love a running or cycling companion for daily exercise or family adventures. She is not for the novice dog owner or a home with very young children due to her desire to greet you with her whole being (but this is a work in-progress). She can self-entertain for hours, but to continue her success she should be crated if left alone. DJ is very affectionate and loves to snuggle during tv time. She is incredibly smart, wants to learn and please, and is very trainable. Currently she sleeps in her crate all night without a peep, but if she had the opportunity to sleep with her own person or people, she would be in total bliss. In the daytime she’s happy to play with toys, dog siblings, or sleep while human fosters are working. Are you interested in adopting this dog or another JCAPL pet you have seen? You'll need to start by completing an adoption application, available online at our website: www.jcapl.org. There is no obligation to adopt by completing an application, however, we do recommend submitting an application as soon as you find an animal you are interested in. We review applications in the order they are received. Completed applications can be submitted online, or sent via email to adopt@jcapl.org, faxed to 919-300-5524 or delivered in person by visiting us at one of our adoption events on Saturdays at PetSmart in Garner’s White Oak Shopping Center. We will contact you as soon as possible once we receive your application. Thanks for thinking adoption!
