This pup is eligible for our Test the Couch program — a 7-day trial adoption to see if your home (and your couch) is the perfect fit. Learn more https://pipsrescue.org/test-the-couch/ Meet Binka – Your Sweet and Snuggly Sidekick! Binka is a charming Bulldog with a heart full of love to give! This affectionate girl thrives on snuggles and adores spending quality time with her humans. Whether it’s cuddling on the couch or playing tug with her doggy foster siblings, Binka is happiest when she’s part of the action. Though Binka can be a little shy when meeting new people or dogs in unfamiliar places, she quickly shines when guests visit her home, greeting them with enthusiasm and a wagging tail. Once she has a moment to settle into a new environment, her sweet personality comes through loud and clear. Binka’s slight vision impairment means she sees the world a little differently, but it doesn’t slow her down! She can see close-up and enjoys chasing a ball, even if her aim is a bit creative. Because of this, she’d thrive in a home with older kids who can match her gentle and playful energy—she adores her foster mom's young nieces (ages 7 and 9) and plays with them beautifully. This smart pup is fully potty and crate trained and walks like a pro on a leash with only minimal guidance. Binka is an easygoing, playful companion who’s as happy exploring the world as she is curling up for a cozy nap. If you’re looking for a loving, loyal, and low-maintenance pup to complete your family, Binka is ready to be your forever friend! Could she be the one for you? ##1949139##

Story
Meet Brodie, a gentle, affectionate big baby who loves cuddles, belly rubs, and being close to his people. He enjoys playing with toys, running around, and relaxing by your side—often resting his head on your feet. Brodie also loves looking out the window and people watching. He is great with kids, patient, and loving. His experience with other pets is unknown. Brodie has a moderate energy level—he enjoys playtime but settles well.He is crate and potty trained, knows basic commands, and is still improving on leash. He is smart but can be an escape artist, so he’ll need a secure, durable crate.Brodie has a sensitive stomach that would require a consistent diet; he needs updated vaccines, and he will need to be neutered. He also experiences some separation anxiety. He would do best in a loving home where someone is around often and can provide consistency, comfort, and companionship.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. All dogs on the Best Friend Pet Adoption  website ARE available and require an approved Best Friend Pet Adoption application before you can be considered or meet any of our dogs.  The link to our application is   https://toolkit.rescuegroups.org/of/f?c=WHMSYCNC        Pluto is an affectionate, 70 pound, neutered male dog. He is sweet, happy, and up-to-date on his vaccinations. He is around 10 years old.    Pluto is great with people (including kids) and most dogs. His favorite things include pets, cuddles, naps, and chew toys. He keeps himself entertained but will play fetch and enjoys walks and road trips.    Pluto plays well with our other dogs, however, we have noticed that he can be possessive over toys if boundaries are not set. He is house-trained and not possessive over food. He knows basic commands like come, sit, drop, paw, etc. He is quiet and will only briefly bark when we have a package or visitor. He will use the bathroom in a fenced yard or on walks. He has met one cat. He was not aggressive but was very interested. He might tolerate cats as he did learn to ignore our chickens. We feel Pluto could be with other dogs or as an only dog.    Pluto is crate trained; however, he is not crated at his foster home. He is well mannered so he is allowed unsupervised access to most of the house. He knows where he is allowed to go and what toys he can play with. Rarely will he chew up things he is not supposed to (he likes to tear up cardboard boxes). He is used to us being gone during the day for work and seems to spend most of the day sleeping or playing with our other dog.   As he ages, his back legs are getting weaker. He has learned how to swim, which has helped strengthen his muscles. He loves to swim and now gets overly excited when we visit the pool. Pluto would need an owner who is experienced in caring for an older, larger dog and give him the patience he needs. He requires extra time to get up and moving and assistance getting into vehicles.    At night, Pluto sleeps on a couch, recliner, or dog bed depending on his preference. He does prefer to sleep with us but snores way too loud. Pluto is a wonderful dog who is gentle, and friendly. He is always ready for attention, but will keep himself busy chewing on toys or napping if you are busy. He will make a great family pet. Could you consider giving him the loving home he deserves?    EVERY DOG HAS A STORY: Pluto was found abandoned on the side of the road in October 2023. A BFPA volunteer found him and took him in.  We are helping this sweet boy find his forever home.      Some of the information contained in this biography includes approximations based on our expertise and is not guaranteed.    Applicants should ideally live no further than one hour from Cary NC.  Our foster guardians deliver dogs to their new homes for adoption trials and we do home visits to finalize adoptions.  For the perfect home for Pluto, we will considered approved applicants who live a bit further away from the Triangle area of NC.    INTERESTED IN ADOPTING PLUTO? Story
her name is raven, she’s a razorback colby pitbull mixed she’s around 2-4 years old. she was born on march 18th 2022, we received her on may 7th 2022. she was cared for indoors up until july 2025 where she would destroy furniture and potty despite taking her outside to do so if left uncrated & unattended upon hours. once cared for outdoors she would escape her XL pen multiple times every 1-3 weeks to roam around the neighborhood and terrorize people in the neighborhood whom are scared. she had became a stressful problem to the family because we are unsure on how to keep her under control we’ve tried training ourselves which she cancels out with disobedience and we have no funds to pay a professional trainer. she is an extreme jumper which is why i would say not good with adults and/or kids, she has food aggression towards other dogs not towards people. we’re hoping someone could help, this was our last resort.

Story
Is that a 60-pound dreamboat before your eyes? He might not float, but Hoagie's the real deal. He's always ready for a road trip; a leisurely walk or a four-mile run; joining you at a brewery or garden store; and is so happy to Netflix and chill, he'll see if he can lay on your lap.If you smell like a gent, he'll try to get you to wrestle. If you smell like a lady, he'll put his arms around you and go in for a big kiss. Hoagie is potty trained, crate trained, fresh off The Big Snip (neutered) and looking for his furever family. He's got that puppy energy and doesn't realize that there's 60 pounds of built-in force behind his boxing paws, so would do best in a house with children he can't accidentally knock over if he's chasing a ball. He wants to be your go-anywhere-do-anything partner, and is equally happy watching Legally Blonde at your feet as he is beating you at tug of war. He does get a tiny bit of anxiety and may whimper when you leave, but is getting better and handles himself well if there's a window to watch you drive away.Hoagie is great with other dogs, and responds well when dogs tell him that his puppy behavior is enough. He may need additional supervision or boundaries with dogs that are fearful or submissive. He has not been tested with cats or livestock but is interested in both. If Hoagie's the four-legged boy of your dreams, please get in touch! He is up to date on all vaccinations, flea/tick, and heartworm prevention, is microchipped, and is neutered. Primary Color: Tan Secondary Color: White Weight: 57.5 Age: 1yrs 0mths 3wks

Story
Mack is a gentle, old-soul gentleman who believes the best things in life are the quiet moments-a soft nuzzle, a peaceful walk, or a calm lean against a trusted human. He doesn't demand the spotlight or jump around; instead, he offers steady, loving companionship and a calming presence that makes any home feel a little warmer. In playgroup, Mack was respectful but a bit grumbly. As an older dog, his high-energy days are behind him. He can get a little squawky when other dogs bounce around too much, and his movements are slow and deliberate, suggesting his joints may ache. His pace is steady and measured, perfect for someone who appreciates a calm, predictable companion.Mack is looking for a patient, understanding human who can be his anchor-a person who will help him feel safe and secure in the world. He thrives on quiet connection, gentle walks, and the comfort of knowing he's loved. For someone seeking a loyal, affectionate, low-key companion, Mack is an absolute treasure.Although he is heartworm positive, it is treatable and not contagious. Friends of Wake County Animal Center has provided a $600 sponsorship to help cover the cost of treatment. He is up to date on vaccinations, flea/tick, and heartworm prevention, is microchipped, and will be neutered prior to going home. If you have dogs or cats, we recommend slow introductions over time. If you have children in your home, we recommend supervision between animals and children at all times. Primary Color: White Weight: 63.5 Age: 7yrs 11mths 1wks
