Story
A bulldog among the best of bulldogs, Tonya has arrived at the farm and she is ready to roll back out with some snugglin, bull dog lovin peeps that are looking for a great companion and walking buddy who does not like to run or do anything too strenuous. Tonya is an adult gal who, let's be real, likely had people before and surely had a few too many snacks. She weighs about 60 lbs now but is ready to give the Green Bean Diet a chance in order to get her beach body back for this summer. She is a lady through a through, likes to potty outside and can politely share space with other dogs but does not have a hankering for throwing down or getting rowdy. Passing on cats or small doggo friends would probably be ideal for this gal who prefers to hand with same-ish sized dogs. She likes things at a slow to middlin kind of pace. This sweet girl is likely to be your shadow and won't ever demand you run or walk super fast, but would like you to meander around with her on a regular basis. Tonya is ready to find her main squeezes and will be waiting patiently for you to arrive to rescue her so that she can rescue you from a life without her! *Weekend Host feedback: "We took her on a walk. She was excited about it and pulled initially, but then mellowed out". "She wasn't a big fan of her crate, so we let her sleep downstairs on the couch overnight and she did totally fine". "We have an older pit bull and they both got along". "We were able to leave the house with her uncrated and there were no issues while we were gone".

Story
Mr. Clean is pumped up to be the newest addition to your home! He does great in his crate, especially if you throw a treat in there and sleeps through the night once he's adjusted to a new space. Mr. Clean seems to be fully potty trained, so hopefully no messes to clean up from this guy! He is working on his leash skills, and will let you know when he's done with the walk by putting on the breaks. Mr. Clean is dog friendly especially with small to medium dogs, though he likes to test the big dogs with some physical play. Speaking of play, he is obsessed with any ball-shaped toy! Mr. Clean would love nothing more than to play fetch with you, and he even enjoys playing with the ball by himself. Fill out an application to meet this handsome fella!

Story
Introducing Blush, a striking black-and-white bulldog whose heart is as big as her 70-pound frame! Blush is a loving soul who truly lives up to her name, showing off her affectionate nature with every wag and nuzzle. Despite her robust size, she's all about soft moments and gentle cuddles. Let's be honest here and say that Blush likes a good walk about, but she is not likely to be a marathoner any time soon so would settle well with people looking for a meanderer with a love for naps. She has done well with other dogs at the farm since she arrived. This beautiful girl is seeking a forever home where she can shower her family with love and get all the belly rubs she deserves. Are you ready to be the reason Blush's cheeks turn rosy with happiness?

Story
This wiggle butt couch potato is as sweet as they come. She radiates resilience, happiness and positivity. Cannoli loves walks, a good car ride and would be happy to be your little co-pilot.  She has a big smile on her face as long as she is with the one she loves.  So pop her in the car when you are on the go; she is so happy to hang with you! She also loves pup cups :).    Cannoli wants to be the queen of her castle, though she would be perfectly fine to share fence lines with other dogs. Her ideal home has a fully fenced yard, so she can zoomie and sunbathe... getting in all the stop drop and rolls in the grass that she can. And when the fall leaves and pile up, just let Noli be Cannoli...she'll dive right in, be completely buried and pop out with the biggest smile!   Cannoli happily shares her toys with you, walks well on leash, and is crate trained, though doesn’t need to be crated. Cannoli also has superb recall, is house trained, and non-destructive in the home.  She is a master of negotiations for the right cookie and is a foodie 100%!  She would make an excellent chef de partie and will happily and politely manage the crumb clean up station.    Noli's DOB (11/06/2020).  As part of Cannoli's $125 (50% off) adoption fee, microchipped, up to date on age appropriate vaccines, and current on her monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives.  If you have questions about this sweet girl, you can email Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org.  If you wish to adopt Cannoli, you can fill in an online application for her under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website:  www.pawsforlifenc.org. ##1288597##

Story
Binka is a female 7 month old American bulldog mix. She is very affectionate and loves to snuggle and be loved on by her humans. Binka gets along with her doggy foster sister just dandy and loves to wrestle and play tug. Binka can be a little nervous meeting new people or dogs in new places but loves having new guests in her home and greets them without hesitation! In new environments, she will warm up after having a little time to adapt. We think this may be because she is a little vision impaired. She can see things close to her face and can usually chase a ball just fine, but we suspect her sight is a bit blurry. For this reason, Binka would do better in a home with older kids - she does great with her foster mom's nieces who are 7 and 9! Other than this, Binka is a completely normal playful and sweet puppy! She is fully potty and crate trained. We are working on leash manners and she is doing really well at walking nicely without pulling most of the time but will pull a bit if she is nervous (like trying to get away from a barking dog). Binka is overall a super easy and very loving puppy and would make a great addition to any family! ##1949139##

Story
Meet a living jewel in a compact package, WINNIE! She is the snuggliest, funniest, most trusting low-rider girl. Winnie is used to having her people work from home and can be found snoring or chewing her bone right under their feet. She is very interested in the dogs behind the fence, running the line giving the cutest, excited yelp-y barks saying "HI!". Winnie will get zooms on occasion, she is surprisingly fast! Leash manners remain a work in progress. She is very interested in all the sights and sounds around which makes her a strong puller, even on a prong collar. She is extremely happy to go with you in the car especially visiting new places. Winnie is happiest being able to look out the front window, at the end of the adventure she is snoozing. Winnie is very social (with people and dogs), but sometimes needs to work on managing her excitement in overstimulating situations. We recommend older kids and dogs in her fur-ever home, and slow, supervised introductions to new friends so that Winnie can manage her excitement levels. Winnie is a big fan of feeding time. She was rather plump when she arrived at her foster home. Her ideal family will need to be diligent in keeping her from putting that weight back on. Winnie is crate and house-trained. She is happy to be in her crate with things to do while you are away. She prefers to not be alone at bedtime, she will cry. Winnie is very much a bulldog mix so snores and snorts are a way of life. You will not lack for snuggles and chuckles with this girl around. Get your own zoomies and come meet this girl soon.

Story
Panda was found abandoned on the side of the road with his kennel.  His Foster Family has put in a lot of work with this sweet guy and he has come a long way very quickly.  Panda is a silly, goofy guy who loves to have his belly scratched.  He walks very well on lead with the gentle lead on.  His Foster Mama says that he is a very fast learner and he is food motivated.  As you can see in the videos, he goes right into his kennel when asked.   Panda is also really good at playing catch. He does enjoy other dogs but can play rough so it would be best for him to have dogs about his size to play with.  His Foster Mama states that he is on medication for his separation anxiety and that they have been working on clearing up the yeast buildup that he had on his skin when found.   Panda has been neutered and has tested negative for Heartworm and Lyme.  If you feel that you may be able to provide a fur-ever home for Panda, please complete an adoption application so that we can set up a meet and greet. ##1958602##

Story
Meet Leather, a handsome tan Boxer, though we use that loosely as he is kinda a low rider with a little Boxer in there, with a heart just as warm as his coat. This affectionate, chatty 65-pounder is always ready to share a story or two, making him the perfect companion for cozy evenings and lively afternoons alike. Leather's soulful eyes and loving nature make him an excellent cuddle buddy, and his gentle manner is ideal for families looking for a loyal friend. He is easy going and definitely all about the people and would be a great dude to hang with who is lower on the medium energy scale. He has done well with lots of lady friends at the farm since he arrived. Don't let his tough name fool you; Leather is soft at heart and ready to shower his new family with love. If you're looking to add a gentle giant to your life, put in an adoption request for Leather and let his tender spirit enrich your home!

Story
*** AVAILABLE ON-SITE STARTING WEDNESDAY 5/22 *** Singer is a female pup out of the Artist litter. She has a cute little howl and chirps to get your attention, but not yappy at all. She has a gorgeous dark brindle coat with beautiful white markings on her face, chest, and paws. With her short coat you will have minimal shedding. Singer thinks she is a lap dog and will try to get in your lap for some cuddles. I think she prefers cuddles to playing! She is a very affectionate and loving pup. In addition to getting snuggles, she gets along with other dogs, loves to play with toys, and romping with her siblings. Additionally she has been introduced to horses without any issues! No barking, no desire to chase! She is outgoing and not shy at all. She is energetic (but not hyper) and loves to play but would also be a great companion for running errands and snuggling. She is gentle, sweet and smart. She knows SIT, DOWN, COME, and LET'S GO POTTY. When she has access to outside, she has had no mistakes and has only gone potty outdoors. While working in an open field she did not run off, but rather stayed close by. Very people focused, she loves to please and be with her person. She takes treats very gently, but rather have praise and a good pet over a food treat. She is so smart and will, training should be a breeze. Singer is the cuddle bug of the litter and is super affectionate and snuggly. If you are looking for a brave, sweet, smart, beautiful and affectionate pup, try a duet with Singer. She would be a great addition to any family. Come meet her today!
