The link to our application is https://toolkit.rescuegroups.org/of/f?c=WHMSYCNC Pluto is an affectionate, 70 pound, neutered male dog. He is sweet, happy, and up-to-date on his vaccinations. He is around 10 years old. Pluto is great with people (including kids) and most dogs. His favorite things include pets, cuddles, naps, and chew toys. He keeps himself entertained but will play fetch and enjoys walks and road trips. Pluto plays well with our other dogs, however, we have noticed that he can be possessive over toys if boundaries are not set. He is house-trained and not possessive over food. He knows basic commands like come, sit, drop, paw, etc. He is quiet and will only briefly bark when we have a package or visitor. He will use the bathroom in a fenced yard or on walks. He has met one cat. He was not aggressive but was very interested. He might tolerate cats as he did learn to ignore our chickens. We feel Pluto could be with other dogs or as an only dog. Pluto is crate trained; however, he is not crated at his foster home. He is well mannered so he is allowed unsupervised access to most of the house. He knows where he is allowed to go and what toys he can play with. Rarely will he chew up things he is not supposed to (he likes to tear up cardboard boxes). He is used to us being gone during the day for work and seems to spend most of the day sleeping or playing with our other dog. As he ages, his back legs are getting weaker. He has learned how to swim, which has helped strengthen his muscles. He loves to swim and now gets overly excited when we visit the pool. Pluto would need an owner who is experienced in caring for an older, larger dog and give him the patience he needs. He requires extra time to get up and moving and assistance getting into vehicles. At night, Pluto sleeps on a couch, recliner, or dog bed depending on his preference. He does prefer to sleep with us but snores way too loud. Pluto is a wonderful dog who is gentle, and friendly. He is always ready for attention, but will keep himself busy chewing on toys or napping if you are busy. He will make a great family pet. Could you consider giving him the loving home he deserves? EVERY DOG HAS A STORY: Pluto was found abandoned on the side of the road in October 2023. A BFPA volunteer found him and took him in. We are helping this sweet boy find his forever home. Our foster guardians deliver dogs to their new homes for adoption trials and we do home visits to finalize adoptions. He is so good with dogs that he has been used as a dog tester at the shelter. Rusty is super sweet and a beautiful brindle color. He is crate trained, house trained, and just explodes into joy when given a new stuffy toy. Rusty is good with other dogs lives with a number of cats. Rusty is 45 lbs and will be neutered before adoption. Blaze is an American Bully/Pit mix. He has been with me since 5 weeks old. He is now 3 years old. He was born in December 2020. He's a great dog. Very gentle and friendly. I don't have small children, so I cannot speak to how he handles children other than short times with visitors and children outside. He is gentle and when he sees a child, he immediately gets low to make himself small and non threatening. He doesn't bark much and he has never bitten anyone. He's never shown any aggression. I am a travel nurse and he just does not fit into my lifestyle with the constant relocating. Most places have breed restrictions that unfortunately don't allow him to accompany me to most of my assignments. I feel like he would have a much better life being with someone who can offer more consistency and who has time to spend with him. (I work 12 hour shifts). I'm sad to give him up, but I know he will be a great asset to someone who has more time for him.

I got my dog from my dad as a teen in high school when I had more freedom I now that I am in college and working I can’t find the time at home for his care and nobody around me to do so either. Sanrio is 2 years old and was born around may/june 2023 from what I was told his dad was a XL bully and his mom is a pit brought from New York. He has always been a chill dog not really much of the playing type but loves affection and attention he likes going on walks and running in dog parks. He does not like cats whatsoever and LOVES children. He is not an aggressive dog at all and has never bitten anyone he also loves to eat 😂, Many people are threatened because of his size but he is just a big teddy bear. In a new home for Rio I just ask for a family willing to give him love and affection
