Story
Tawny is in a foster home. Please text Laura if you are interested in meeting her at +1 (330) 441-0813 Meet Tawny, the perfect companion for a quiet and loving home. With her enchanting brown eyes and sweet demeanor, Tawny is the kind of dog you'll adore spending your days with. She thrives in a low-key environment, feeling a bit nervous when there's too much commotion. Tawny is not just a furry friend; she's a well-behaved one. She's crate trained and housebroken, making her an ideal addition to your household. While she may seem a bit reserved, she truly enjoys hanging out with her favorite person - that's you! Tawny has shown potential in getting along with others through the fence and has done well with a few dogs her size.. However, she hasn't been too fond of small dogs in the past. While she might pull a little on a leash, she doesn't demand much exercise, so leisurely strolls are her speed. Tawny's heart has a special place for peanut butter bones - a surefire way to win her affection. It's worth noting that Tawny is best suited for families with kids aged 5 and older. She's a strong girl who might not always realize her own size, but her love knows no bounds. Tawny arrived to ARF as heartworm positive, but has since completed her treatment and recovery and is ready to find her new home!

Story
Shorty! 🧸 Are adorably cute senior bears your thing? Well, meet Shorty! This handsome 10 year old American bully/pitbull boy is ready to find his home or a foster! Shorty is 84 pounds and has quite the story to tell. We met Shorty only a few months ago when Shorty was found by our humane officer friend outside in a small enclosure....where he lived for the last 10 years (yes, you read that right! 10 years!). Shorty's skin was a mess, and he was heartworm positive. One of our TRI fosters saw Shorty and knew this lug needed a chance! Shorty moved to foster care and has been blossoming into the handsome, lovely guy we know him to be today. Shorty underwent heartworm treatment and he is doing great! He also is now neutered. His skin looks 100% better. Shorty is a senior and has arthritis, but x-rays show he's in overall good health. We have him on Dasuquin and other supplements to support his joints. Shorty's teeth are ground down from his years outside gnawing at hard inanimate objects, so he gets water added to his dog food to help him eat. Shorty's favorite dogs toys now are soft cloth toys and it warms our heart to see him playing. Living outside for 10 years takes it toll. Shorty is afraid of fire, lighters and water hoses. Shorty is very smart and has already learned some commands. Shorty knows "sit" and is working on "wait." If you'd like more information on Shorty, email today at therescueinn@gmail.com or submit an adoption application and we will be in touch: https://therescueinn.com/adoption-application.html

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Tater was surrendered to us on St. Patrick's Day by an Amish puppy mill/breeder after she was attacked by another dog and suffered severe trauma to both front legs. The breeder didn't want to pay for medical care, and so she faced euthanasia. We obviously couldn't let that happen, so we agreed to take her on!Tater was adopted not long after she recovered, but was returned as it wasn't the best match with her and her doggie housemate.Since coming back to us, we've had Tater professionally obedience trained, as we want her to be the best girl she can be! She's a TOTAL lovebug with people and kids, and is silly, playful, affectionate and cuddly. If you look up GOOFBALL, I'm pretty sure you'll find a pic of Tater!Tater is a 10-month-old Beabull (Beagle/Bulldog mix), and is 30lbs, spayed, microhipped, up to date on vaccines, dewormed, and current on monthly flea/tick/heartworm prevention. She's house and crate trained, walks well on leash, and enjoys going for car rides. She's a smart girl who loves to learn, and picked up her professional obedience training quickly! She's always down for an adventure, but she's pretty darn good at being a couch Tater too! She's cuter than heck and has the BEST little toothy smile! If you're in the market for an outgoing, happy go lucky, affectionate potato dog, you may have found your perfect girl!Tater does have some arthritis in her elbows secondary to the trauma she sustained as a puppy. She's been evaluated by an orthopedic specialist who recommended keeping her on a daily, over the counter joint supplement for life, as well as a daily NSAID as needed. Her ideal forever home is one where she can the only dog so she can get all the love and attention! It's important to note that Tater is not dog aggressive, and can share toys, go for pack walks, and loves romping in the yard with other pups. Her issue is resource guarding/sharing her humans with other dogs, which has been the primary focus of her rehabilitation and training. However, for her long-term success and happiness, we'd prefer an only pet home for her.If you're interested in giving our spunky little Spudnut the best life she deserves, please click here to submit an adoption application! If you'd like any additional information, please email us at newleashrescue@gmail.com.Tater's adoption fee is $450, which includes all her vetting and training.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 24, 2023, 6:11 pm

Scrappy is one awesome dog! He came to Oasis after his owner could no longer care for him. Scrappy had been tied out to a dog house outside his short life by his previous owner. He is hesitant with people, but will warm up when he knows they are ok. If you are interested in meeting Scrappy, please fill out an application that you will find on out website: Scrappy also asks that a fenced in yard would be wonderful. He would like to never be tied up again. oasisanimalshelter.net

Story
Say hello to Napoleon! He is a 3 year old Bulldog mix who weighs 54 pounds. Napoleon is a total hunk who is sweet as can be! He is shy with new people, but after a few treats he is ready to cuddle in your lap and snuggle up for some love. He is still young so he enjoys going on walks and exploring the world around him, but he is just as happy to snuggle on the couch while you watch tv. Napoleon can be nervous with new dogs, so he needs a slow introduction, but with the right fit he could make a great buddy to a dog in his forever home. Since he is a sensitive pup at first, if there are kids in his forever home they need to be ages 13 and older. If Napoleon looks like the pup that you've been looking for, give us a call at 330-487-0333 ext 226 to learn more about him and schedule a time to come in and meet!
