Shorty! 🧸 Are adorably cute senior bears your thing? Well, meet Shorty! This handsome 10 year old American bully/pitbull boy is ready to find his home or a foster! Shorty is 84 pounds and has quite the story to tell. We met Shorty only a few months ago when Shorty was found by our humane officer friend outside in a small enclosure....where he lived for the last 10 years (yes, you read that right! 10 years!). Shorty's skin was a mess, and he was heartworm positive. One of our TRI fosters saw Shorty and knew this lug needed a chance! Shorty moved to foster care and has been blossoming into the handsome, lovely guy we know him to be today. Shorty underwent heartworm treatment and he is doing great! He also is now neutered. His skin looks 100% better. Shorty is a senior and has arthritis, but x-rays show he's in overall good health. We have him on Dasuquin and other supplements to support his joints. Shorty's teeth are ground down from his years outside gnawing at hard inanimate objects, so he gets water added to his dog food to help him eat. Shorty's favorite dogs toys now are soft cloth toys and it warms our heart to see him playing. Living outside for 10 years takes it toll. Shorty is afraid of fire, lighters and water hoses. Shorty is very smart and has already learned some commands. Shorty knows "sit" and is working on "wait." Very sweet girl. Is mostly potty trained. Got her from a shelter a month ago but I got a new job and will be far too busy to give her the attention she deserves. She is very good with other animals and kids. Have not worked on training yet. We have been working on crate training her. She no longer barks at night. She's great on a leash but a little skittish of other dogs barking at her on walks. Definitely needs more time outside. She weighs in about 35lbs right now. She's estimated to be about 6-7 months old and is still growing. Will be a good family dog once she adjust to your household. She is very goofy and is still building muscle from being in a crate so stairs are a no go going down, but can go up them easily.

Meatpie is still just a baby at one year of age but has decided he is no longer fond of others dog, so he would thrive best in a home without other dogs but he does well with cats! Although he is a large, heavy breed, he thinks he should be a lapdog! He is fixed, current on all vaccines, crate trained, house broken, does ok on a leash but is strong and pulls; he would benefit from basic training. Meatpie does very well in the car, loves to play fetch, tug of war and keep away . Meatpie does REQUIRE a sturdy fence for his yard. No small kids for him. Dara is a hoot, but also a homebody, and she is the type of girl who would love to be in her jammies back at home by 8pm. Currently living in a foster home, Dara has shown that she is a great cuddler whose favorite place might just be bundled up in bed. She will even bark to let you know when it's bedtime and she wants a snuggle. She's not totally lazy, though. She has a nice, moderate activity level, with bursts of silly zoomie energy on occasion. She enjoys walks and hikes, and is working on being a tugboat on leash - she will at least help you up the hills. Her signature move is wriggling her dumpling self around on her back, partly for the joy of it and partly in case you want to give her belly rubs. Dara could be a little timid meeting new people and visiting new places at first, and she's really come into her own and her goofy personality shines in a home environment.
