Car rides, walks, hikes, or even just lounging on the couch, being lazy, doing nothing, Oakley is IN! Wherever you are, he chooses to be right there with you! Oakley is fiercely loyal, and when he loves, he loves deeply. He gives you his all. Alone time? Forget it! Oakley will want to be right where you are! Always your sidekick. Be forewarned, he also has a tendency to park his almost 90lb body in your lap and do the cuddles and snuggles ❤ Oakley keeps up on walks and hikes. Don’t walk anywhere near water though, if you are not prepared for the consequences. Oakley will think nothing of jumping in the water! If there are ducks or geese, he will give chase. Oakley thinks chasing after small creatures is just the coolest thing! He will need a thorough wipe down or bath after all these adventures. You see, Oakley has a long list of allergies. Amongst them are grass and trees. Other adorable things Oakley does is bring you his favorite toys (stuffies are his favorite) and ball. He carries them around in his mouth, everywhere. He treats them like they are his babies 😊 Oakley is 4 years old, 90lb American Bulldog. Having been disappointed by humans many times, Oakley takes a little bit to warm up to strangers (treats help) but once he inducts you into his circle, you’re in for life! Oakley is looking for a semi-active family with a good blend of activities and chill time. Oakley prefers to be the only pet in the house as nothing makes him happier than to soak up all your love and attention. This kid will give back twice as much ❤

Meatpie is still just a baby at one year of age but has decided he is no longer fond of others dog, so he would thrive best in a home without other dogs but he does well with cats! Although he is a large, heavy breed, he thinks he should be a lapdog! He is fixed, current on all vaccines, crate trained, house broken, does ok on a leash but is strong and pulls; he would benefit from basic training. Meatpie does very well in the car, loves to play fetch, tug of war and keep away . Meatpie does REQUIRE a sturdy fence for his yard. No small kids for him. Meet Lizzy! Lizzy has come a long way in her foster home since coming to us. She is completely housebroken and crate trained. Her foster family have been working on more structured training over the past couple months and she has perfected the basics, and then some: sit, down, stay, drop it, leave it, wait, come here. She will do many of those with word commands, or with hand signals and no words. She has recently started learning to ring a bell on the door when she wants to go outside and she is doing it most of the time. Lizzy has learned the routine and when she sees her foster mom getting ready to leave, she goes and waits in her crate. She loves all the toys, but especially her tennis balls. She has learned to bring the ball to you, drop it and then step back and lay down while she waits for you to throw it - all without us having to say a word. And she will keep playing until you make her stop. She loves going on walks and is getting much better with not pulling on the leash. She gets very excited for car rides and does very well in the car. When it’s time to go to bed, she can’t wait to snuggle and has recently realized she’d prefer to be under the covers. She loves to be wherever we are, but she does fine at home (in her crate) during the day too. Shorty! 🧸 Are adorably cute senior bears your thing? Well, meet Shorty! This handsome 10 year old American bully/pitbull boy is ready to find his home or a foster! Shorty is 84 pounds and has quite the story to tell. We met Shorty only a few months ago when Shorty was found by our humane officer friend outside in a small enclosure....where he lived for the last 10 years (yes, you read that right! 10 years!). Shorty's skin was a mess, and he was heartworm positive. One of our TRI fosters saw Shorty and knew this lug needed a chance! Shorty moved to foster care and has been blossoming into the handsome, lovely guy we know him to be today. Shorty underwent heartworm treatment and he is doing great! He also is now neutered. His skin looks 100% better. Shorty is a senior and has arthritis, but x-rays show he's in overall good health. We have him on Dasuquin and other supplements to support his joints. Shorty's teeth are ground down from his years outside gnawing at hard inanimate objects, so he gets water added to his dog food to help him eat. Shorty's favorite dogs toys now are soft cloth toys and it warms our heart to see him playing. Living outside for 10 years takes it toll. Shorty is afraid of fire, lighters and water hoses. Shorty is very smart and has already learned some commands. Shorty knows "sit" and is working on "wait." Those long, clumsy legs of his gets him places so swiftly he’ll probably knock you down if you are in his way :)He is full of enthusiasm, playfulness, joy and absolute glee :) Every day is a good day for JuJu. Every day you will find JuJu romping around, exploring all he can explore, taking in all the sniffs and sights. When JuJu isn’t exploring, he is snuggling right next to you. He is noticeably more comfortable with women than men. Perhaps there was some mistreatment in his past by a man ? Treats with slow approach seems to be the trick at initial meets with men.
