Car rides, walks, hikes, or even just lounging on the couch, being lazy, doing nothing, Oakley is IN! Wherever you are, he chooses to be right there with you! Oakley is fiercely loyal, and when he loves, he loves deeply. He gives you his all. Alone time? Forget it! Oakley will want to be right where you are! Always your sidekick. Be forewarned, he also has a tendency to park his almost 90lb body in your lap and do the cuddles and snuggles ❤ Oakley keeps up on walks and hikes. Don’t walk anywhere near water though, if you are not prepared for the consequences. Oakley will think nothing of jumping in the water! If there are ducks or geese, he will give chase. Oakley thinks chasing after small creatures is just the coolest thing! He will need a thorough wipe down or bath after all these adventures. You see, Oakley has a long list of allergies. Amongst them are grass and trees. Other adorable things Oakley does is bring you his favorite toys (stuffies are his favorite) and ball. He carries them around in his mouth, everywhere. He treats them like they are his babies 😊 Oakley is 4 years old, 90lb American Bulldog. Having been disappointed by humans many times, Oakley takes a little bit to warm up to strangers (treats help) but once he inducts you into his circle, you’re in for life! Oakley is looking for a semi-active family with a good blend of activities and chill time. Where are all my XL Bully lovers at? Well, we’d like to introduce you to our lion, Dandelion. 🌼🌼 Dandelion is a svelte 3-year old XL Bully who has a body of a slinky lion but the disposition of a delicate flower. Dandy is a big ole softy through and through. She’s really sweetheart with a heart of true gold. She’s great in the crate and potty trained. She has a great appetite now that we have figured out her diet. Dandy loves chewing on elk antlers and cuddling with stuffys. She has spouts of energy with zoom-ies and full body spins but for the most part would prefer to lay around and nap. Dandelion doesn’t seem at all interested in getting up on furniture or beds and would prefer to lay on the floor. Due to her size (her range will be about 100-120lb) we are recommending no small dogs or cats and no small children. In terms of friendliness Dandelion is the absolute best. She’s shy at first but she wants to love and be loved. We hope with the right patient owner she will flourish. She would benefit with training, from a basic understanding of controlling her own strength when she gets excited to being able to control herself with another dog in the house consistently. Throughout her time in her foster home she has worked on leash skills with prong, muzzle conditioning, and crate training. She has begun to co-exist with the dogs in the house and has small amounts of play time. We believe with more time and energy spent she will be able to co-exist and live with another dog. But, the adopter who applies needs to be aware that this will not be an immediate thing and will need to be a slow introduction, worked on over time and training. You can see it in her eyes and soul she wants to love on humans and dogs, she has so much energy to give she just hasn’t figured out how to to harness it all into appropriate amounts. She’s worth it. From his foster mom: I am totally in love with this guy!! He is so well behaved and so expressive. He is hilarious!! And loves to cuddle!!! He can play all day or sleep all day... he is happy either way! Guinness is a pit bull terrier/American Bulldog mix better known as an American Bully that weighs around 50 pounds. He is 3 years old. His birthday is 11-17-20. Guinness was found as a stray and no one claimed him. Even though Guinness is grateful to be at the shelter/foster home where he is receiving good food and TLC. He exhibits resource guarding with food and toys and needs a saavy owner who will set boundaries. We don’t know his background but we have assured Guinness that it is only the best for the rest. He can be strong on leash but walks well most of the time. Guinness loves exercise, dog parks, and the beach too! He would be best as an only dog. He has a medium energy level and would thoroughly enjoy a fenced in yard. He does fine with cats. He loves kids and does well with them. I'm the lesser-known cousin, Arnold (or Ahhh-nold, if you prefer.) I am here and am ready to PUMP you UP. I'm in the LARGE weight class, coming in around 73 pounds. I was picked up as a stray and ended up in a crowded shelter, which is never good for a large bully type dog as we always get picked last. The gals at MBR took one look at my mug and knew they had one mission...to save me. Now I'm hoping you can write the rest of my story! I am EXCITED for life. Treats? Love 'em. Balls? Chase 'em. Dogs? Friend 'em. People? Slobber on 'em. I hear I'm a real handsome guy, more brawn than brains, but when you got looks like this, who needs brains. Dara is a hoot, but also a homebody, and she is the type of girl who would love to be in her jammies back at home by 8pm. Currently living in a foster home, Dara has shown that she is a great cuddler whose favorite place might just be bundled up in bed. She will even bark to let you know when it's bedtime and she wants a snuggle. She's not totally lazy, though. She has a nice, moderate activity level, with bursts of silly zoomie energy on occasion. She enjoys walks and hikes, and is working on being a tugboat on leash - she will at least help you up the hills. Her signature move is wriggling her dumpling self around on her back, partly for the joy of it and partly in case you want to give her belly rubs. Dara could be a little timid meeting new people and visiting new places at first, and she's really come into her own and her goofy personality shines in a home environment.
