Story
We rescued Douglas in 2020 from PAWS. When we went to PAWS to pick him up all of the employees said they wished they could adopt him and he was their favorite and very sweet. We picked him up and he's been our first baby and love of our life ever since. It breaks my heart to rehome him. He's the sweetest dog I've ever had and he will make you laugh with his big personality. He's a cuddle bug and thinks he's a lap dog. He sleeps most of the day but can definitely play hard too. We quickly saw that he was having reoccurring ear infections and we saw lots of vets. We very recently have figured out that we think he has a lot of food allergies. He is currently on Wild Earth vegan dog food and we think it's clearing up his food allergies. His paws have cleared up and he's being treated for an ear infection and healing. Vets have said he's probably about 3-4 years old. He's been my best friend since covid started and loves having his person at home with him.

Story
Are you ready to fall in love? Meet Sweet Pea! This goofy girl is full of personality! She is a 6 year old Pit Bull mix that weighs 54lbs and is ready to leave paw prints on your heart! Sweet Pea is currently being fostered in Tacoma, Washington and would love to meet you! Sweet Pea had a rough start to life, she was found on the streets eating garbage on the side of the road. Sweet Pea was covered in motor oil, which her previous owners likely assumed would cure her sarcoptic mange and unfortunately, this home remedy caused more harm than good. Sweet Pea had a raging skin infection that affected her eyes, ears and caused permanent scarring to her skin. We also quickly discovered she had heartworms. Luckily, Sweet Pea was rescued and taken into a loving foster home that helped her heal into the gorgeous, goofy girl she is today! Sweet Pea is as sweet as her name implies! This goofy hippo is a happy go lucky girl who just wants to snuggle with her humans! SweetPea has never met a stranger, she loves everyone she meets and loves to mother the kiddos in her nanny dog way. SweetPea is a great mix of energetic and playful but will gladly crash out on the couch with you for snuggles. This girl absolutely LOVES to give kisses, so it's imperative that you indulge her once and a while! She is medium energy, with short bursts of playfulness followed by epic naps and snuggle time. She loves to sleep in bed, although she is a bed hog and steals the covers. SweetPea loves car rides, puppy lattes, meeting new people, long walks on the beach and has recently discovered that she loves the snow! She would make an excellent adventure buddy! This sassy girl is diva at times and does best with other non-reactive, playful dogs. SweetPea can get overwhelmed around multiple dogs and would do best in a home with a mellow dog buddy, or as on only dog where she can soak up all of your attention. House trained, kennel trained and excellent on a leash, SweetPea is a well mannered girl who always wants to learn. She is very food motivated and was also clicker trained by her foster mom. SweetPea loves enrichment toys, such as a Kong and nylabone. She loves any kind of toy and will keep herself busy for hours taking the toys in and out of the toy bin! SweetPea is a healthy happy girl, although she does need medicated baths once a month. She is spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative and fully vaccinated.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Welcome Contessa to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 6-year-old American Bulldog/Pittie mix is our guess. She has an adorable blue and one brown eye. She weighs about 50 pounds and is good with other dogs. She barks at her kennel door so her best place would be with a wooden privacy fence. She is moderate to low activity and loves to be touched. She is good in her crate and will make some lucky family a good companion. She is lower energy so she could go with a more relaxed and laid-back family. She could also go with children. We like them to be 10 or older. She was found as a stray on the construction site and had to survive until a good Samaritan caught her and brought her to CCPAL rescue. She warms up slowly but bonds deeply to her people. She has fallen in love with the kennel fellas. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 200 and transport is 180. She is healthy, vaccinated, spayed and ready for her forever home. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpal.info/ See her cute video!!

Story
It's a pleasure to meet you, my name is Walter! I like to greet people the old fashioned way, a tip of the nose, a meeting of the eyes, and a formal introduction of who I am. I've always kind of been an old-soul, at least that's what people tell me, with my wrinkled fur and gentle eyes. As an older gentleman I tend to have a bit more patience than these young whippersnapper pups. You'll find me waddling around quite slowly but my tail still wagging none the less! I have been known to snap when nervous, but I have come so far and I just need a little time and patience. Cause I just so want to be your big goofy friend! I have a soft and squishy face to go along with my squishy personality! I am great with my people and great with other dogs too. I am shy at the very first but am on the fast track to love! At 7-years old there's really only one thing I care about ... TREATS ... just kidding, it's being close to others. Being close to others helps remind me that I am here and my story is still being written with infinite possibilities. Perhaps you and I could write the next chapter together? Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Story
You might think it odd to be named after a military vehicle like a tank, but let me tell you ... I BLAST onto the scene! At 4-years old and an unwavering look in my eyes I have the energy and dedication to make it anywhere and do anything! I'm built and live this way because of how my life started off, not too great, as my previous owners tied me to a tree and never let me really LIVE! After I was rescued by my guardian angel things started looking up and I got stronger, faster, better, and happier! I got to experience the joys of playing with other dogs, being around people and just running around to my heart's content! My face always has a gleeful grin on it and my ears are always perked for the next adventure! I'd love to go on one with you specifically! Do you have what it takes to tame this Tank-Dog? Apply now! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)
