Story
Meet Hank. 76 pounds of pit bull and pure tank of love. Someone dropped him off without a note and drove away. He should be wary of people after that. He is not. He still trusts every human he meets. Hank is active with a chill streak. He loves a mix of short runs and long walks, so if you want an outdoorsy partner, he is your guy. He loves car rides too. He is loyal and family-focused. He has been tested with big kids and does great. Someone home for part of the day will suit him best. When Hank claims you, he tells you so with outgoing playful gentle nipping. He does the same with other dogs he likes. It looks bigger than it is. It fades as you get to know each other, but you should know about it in advance so the first time you see it you do not read it as something it is not. He is laid back, but if another dog comes at him aggressively, he will defend himself. That is honest, not a red flag. Most dogs do this. Things we cannot confirm yet. He has not been tested with cats, so do not assume he is fine with them. We are not 100 percent sure on his crate training history. And he is hesitant on slick flooring, so a household with rugs and carpet will be an easier transition than one that is mostly hardwood or tile. If you have been waiting for a loyal, active, 76-pound pit bull who wants to spend the next decade making you his favorite person, Hank is yours. Story
Bella is about 6 months old, white with a black patch over her left eye, and a Pit mix. She is playful, loves kids, gets along with other dogs, and is comfortable indoors and out. The photo of her perched in a baby high chair watching the room tells you exactly the kind of curious girl she is. She has lived in a fenced yard with her brother Rebel. She has not been tested with cats. Bella is still a puppy, so she needs training, structure, and a family ready for the work that goes into raising a great adult dog. We are placing her through Managed Rehoming and learning more about her as she settles in. She does not have to be adopted with Rebel, but they have lived together their whole lives. If you have room for both, that is the easier transition for them. All of our adoptions are spay/neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, and microchipped. Story
Rebel is about 6 months old, a light tan and white Pit mix, and one of those dogs who looks like he has never met a stranger. The grin in his photo tells you most of what you need to know about his energy. He is playful, gets along with other dogs, and loves time with kids. He has lived outside in a fenced yard with his sister Bella. He has not been tested with cats. Rebel is still a puppy, so he needs training, structure, and someone willing to put in the time it takes to raise a confident adult dog. We are placing him through Managed Rehoming and learning more about him as we go. He does not have to be adopted with Bella, but they have lived together their whole lives. If you have room for both, that is the easier transition for them. All of our adoptions are spay/neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, and microchipped. Dolly is very sweet and gentle dog. Dolly is very cuddly and loves to lay on the couch and snuggle all day. Dolly loves any chew toys, especially any of the tuff toys or antlers. Dolly would thrive in a home with someone that likes to just chill on the couch. She warmed up to cats fairly quickly. She is also good with big dogs but has never been around smaller dogs. Dolly is crate and house trained. she recalls with just a simple whistle. she will walk with you without a leash and won't leave the yard without you. Story
Meet Fridge – Your Lovable, Roadside Rescued Best Friend! Fridge isn’t just a name—it’s a whole vibe. This sweet, gentle Pitbull mix was found on the side of the road and has since been on a weight loss journey, proving that second chances (and fewer snacks) can lead to something amazing. Fridge is the neighborhood favorite, winning over kids and adults alike with his calm, friendly demeanor. He’s the perfect mix of laid-back and social, always happy to greet new friends with a wagging tail. In his foster home, he’s been a dream companion, living peacefully with two other dogs and a child. He’s neutral around other dogs, making him an easy addition to a home with existing pets. While Fridge loves a good nap and cuddle session, he’s also discovering his adventurous side! He’s developed a real love for walks and enjoys exploring the outdoors. His foster family says he’s getting more playful every day, even starting to show interest in toys—a big step for this previously overlooked pup. When he’s not out stretching his legs or testing out his growing toy collection, Fridge is a true cuddle bug, always ready for some cozy downtime with his humans. He’s looking for a forever home where he can continue his journey—with love, companionship, and plenty of time for walks and play. Could Fridge be the missing piece in your life? Story
Darlene will steal your heart, and maybe your man, just because she can 😀 Well, her name's Darlene, not Jolene, but she outshines every other dog around her and will become everyone's favorite girl. Darlene is the happiest, most carefree pup. She loves to play with every dog no matter what size, she doesn't get fussy with other dogs, even when they get fussy with her, and she loves her humans. She's not quite your shadow, but close, and like all great pitties, she loves to be in your lap, sitting on your feet, or snuggled right up next to you. When Darlene was found in a field off a dirt road last year, she was so emaciated, she couldn't stretch out straight. All that is behind her now, and she is LOVING LIFE! Darlene loves a car ride and chewing on sticks. She's good in her crate and riding in the car. She needs work on a leash but otherwise she's just about perfect. You'll find yourself absent-mindedly rubbing her soft ears, and she has such soft fur, especially for a pittie. If you've ever thought about giving a pittie a try, she's a great one to start with. Just remember, she has that pittie enthusiasm and will come in like a wrecking ball! Darlene is 2 years old, fully vetted including spay and shots, and is heartworm negative. She is ready to steal your man ❤️ If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at https://www.cognitoforms.com/DixieGirl1/PetAdoptionApplicationForm2 Most of our are pets are fostered in Southern foster homes and are posted for adoption once they are completely vetted and ready to travel.
