Story
Meet the great Raja! What is Raj great at you ask? Well, he’s the best couch potato in the house. He also loves to snuggle, cuddle, or just be near his humans. He listens well and just wants to love and be loved. He’s a medium-sized 50lb goofball with a sweet and gentle personality. We are unsure of his age as he was a stray when he came to us, but we guess he's between 3 and 5 years old. He likes short to medium-length walks but would need more cardio for longer walks or for hikes. Raj appears to be good with adults and children over 8 yrs old however we have not seen him interact with toddlers. He is also good with other medium size or above dogs but will avoid overly excited dogs. Unfortunately, he does like to chase cats. We do not recommend him for a home that has toddlers, small dogs, or cats. Raj is housetrained, crate trained, leash trained, and knows basic commands like sit, down and stay. Raj is currently being cared for in central Phoenix but they are willing to travel for meet and greets anywhere in the greater Phoenix area. If you would like to meet this sweet boy, please email BICKLEKT@GMAIL.COM or DAVEPROCHAZKA@GMAIL.COM Raja is a courtesy post through Valley Dogs Rescue.

Adele is a silly 8 year old pittie mix. With her big goofy ears and big smile, she's sure to make anyone's day! Adele is good with some dogs her size or bigger. She is not particular of little dogs or cats. Adele would love a family with older children. She loves playing fetch as well as going running, and she is excellent on a leash. Story
Meet Lola...she wondered on to a business in Phoenix and attempts to locate her owners were unsuccessful. Lola is currently living at a recycling plant where she is getting all the love she deserves from allll the employees that work there.  Lola is now all vetted and is looking for a home of her very own. She is housebroken and as you can see, she does love her couch. Her big disadvantage… She cannot be around other animals. Can you blame her? She wants all the attention! She is extremely loving, flips over to have her belly rubbed at regular intervals. She loves kids and truly loves humans. We would love to find her the right home where she can enjoy life and be spoiled. Lola is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed and ready to settle on your couch! Plenty of dogs are single dog households, don’t let that scare u. She truly is a love bug. Fill out an app at backthebluepetrescue.org May 15, 2024, 7:22 am

Loves people and protective of her family. Approximately 4 years old. About 60 pounds. Adores children but can be very boistrous with them. A secure fenced yard is important because she is an escape artist. Very high energy - she needs frequent walks and a lot of energetic play. Sweet and loving but high maIntenace. We are retirees moving into an assisted living facility where she would be miserable. Don't remember her license renewal date. She may be due for vaccinations.

Story
Gigi lives with three other dogs now and has been good with them up until recently when she bit my small dog. I was trying to get my small dog to stop digging and I think she thought she would help out, when she attacked him. She is fine with my other two dogs who are similar in size to her. She is very sweet with people. I have been keeping her separate from my small dog, for the safety of my small dog, though she is not normally aggressive toward him. I think she needs to be well controlled around smaller animals. On walks, she is very interested in rabbits and she seems to have a strong prey drive. Gigi is 3 years old. She is healthy and strong. She walks well on leash and needs a firm handler. She is good with a sit command and is highly food motivated. She is currently away and in training with professional trainers for 4-5 weeks and will be back next week.

Story
Luna is a very sweet and loving 6yr old pitbull mix. I am not quite sure what other breed she is but, I’ve been told by a vet she’s mixed with something else. Luna has been in our home for 4years and we didn’t have many issues with her and our other dog until we moved to Alaska from Arizona. She’s become more reactive towards our neighborhood dogs and we don’t have a secure enough yard for her so there have been some issues. We unfortunately are forced to rehome because of this. Luna has gotten along with other male dogs but, she’s very toy aggressive and that has caused issues. She’s been around older children and done well but, little kids I am not sure. She comes from a very loving home and hope to rehome to a loving home, that she will get extra training more one and one.

Story
Sparrow came to us from the Maricopa County Animal Shelter. She was found on the street but adjusted to life at home in no time. She is a 3 year old Pitbull/Schipperke mix. She graduated a basic manners 6 week course like a pro. She is very well behaved but does not get along with cats. A home without small animals or young children will be best suited for her. She is a great girl who deserves a forever home. She enjoys car rides, the dog park, hikes and treats! She is very trainable and treats are the key to making her your bff! Sparrow will come with all supplies including her favorite toys.

Story
I got her as a bday gift from someone who told me it was a male but she turned out to be the female runt of the litter. She will be a year old on May 10, 2024 and is a very playful and energetic puppy. I am looking for a household with access to a backyard by dog door because she is potty trained she will let you know if she needs to go out or will just use the dog door if you have one. She is also very needy when it comes to attention she will whine and stare at you until you acknowledge her because she also likes to sleep with people. She is kennel trained so there shouldn’t be any problems there. A few commands she knows are sit, back up, get down, wait(for food or to leave for walks).

Story
We rescued Hades from the county shelter. He's about 3 to 4 years old. He came home and got along great with our two small dogs and cats. However, our big dog and Hades keep getting in fights, really bad fights. We have to keep them separated and it's taking a toll on us. We will not take him back to the shelter. We want to find a good home for him. We think he will do best in a home with just him as a pet. He's such a good boy and loves to cuddle. We are not asking for a rehoming fee.

Story
In the charming town of Gilbert, there lives a spirited dog named Jack. At 1 1/2 years old and weighing in at 94 pounds, Jack is a bundle of energy and affection. He's always up for an adventure and loves car rides. Despite his size, he believes he's a lap dog and relishes cuddles. Jack has a mixed social resume. He's great with kids once they get to know each other, and he can befriend dogs his size on neutral ground. However, he takes his role as a protector seriously when it comes to his home. Cats and small animals are not his cup of tea, so he's best suited for a cat-free environment. On the training front, Jack is top-notch. He's current on vaccinations, neutered, and fully housetrained. Walks with him are a breeze, thanks to his excellent leash manners. He also knows basic commands, making him an obedient companion. Jack's intelligence and enthusiasm make him a promising candidate for agility training. He loves learning new tricks and enjoys swimming. Currently living with four other furry pals, including his littermate, Jack faces a challenge known as Littermate Syndrome. This has led to some bullying behaviors with his brother and the other dogs. The only solution is to separate them. Jack longs for a loving home where he can be a cherished human companion or coexist with another large but submissive dog. If you feel a connection with this lively pup, or if you'd like to meet him, please contact Shelby at shelbyscalise@gmail.com. Jack is ready to embark on new adventures and create lasting memories with his forever family. Courtesy post through Valley Dogs.

Story
Syren (10 yr old Female boxer mix) & Onyx (9 yr old Male lab mix) Onyx - Onyx is a big baby and a whiner but likes to think he is tough. He is curious and always wants to know what his people are doing. He will follow you around but from a distance. He loves to sleep and snore.... He has grown up with Syren but outside of the dogsitter, has not spent a lot of time with other dogs. He has never been around cats. He favor Syren - Syren is a people dog. She always wants to be around someone and loves to curl up next to them. She is very affectionate and goofy (she is part boxer after all). She is a jumper when she first meets someone, so you have to be ready. I don't think there is much she doesn't like. She was around cats when she was. younger, but its been quite awhile. Outside of being with Onyx, she doesn't usually do well with other dogs. She is a submissive dog and sometimes that leads to her being attacked or picked on when in packs. She can be chatty sometimes.
