After surviving life on the streets of Phoenix, I’m finally safe and learning what it means to be part of a family—and let me tell you, I’m all in. I’m playful, curious, and always up for a good time. I’ll chase the hose like it’s my job, tug-of-war is my sport of choice, and yes—I try to catch bees (don’t worry, I’m working on better hobbies!). I’m also incredibly smart and thrive with routine. I stick close on walks, follow direction well, and love having a confident person to guide me. Meet the great Raja! What is Raj great at you ask? Well, he’s the best couch potato in the house. He also loves to snuggle, cuddle, or just be near his humans. He listens well and just wants to love and be loved. He’s a medium-sized 50lb goofball with a sweet and gentle personality. We are unsure of his age as he was a stray when he came to us, but we guess he's between 3 and 5 years old. He likes short to medium-length walks but would need more cardio for longer walks or for hikes. Raj appears to be good with adults and children over 8 yrs old however we have not seen him interact with toddlers. He is also good with other medium size or above dogs but will avoid overly excited dogs. Unfortunately, he does like to chase cats. We do not recommend him for a home that has toddlers, small dogs, or cats. Raj is housetrained, crate trained, leash trained, and knows basic commands like sit, down and stay. Raj is currently being cared for in central Phoenix but they are willing to travel for meet and greets anywhere in the greater Phoenix area. We’ve had him for about two years now, and in that time he’s grown into a very friendly, loving dog with tons of playful energy. My story started in October 2024 when a kind human saw me get thrown from a moving truck. Story
Hi, I’m Frankie (Francis is my name when I am feeling fancy). I’m a 5-year-old Tri Colored English Bulldog and have the heart of a puppy. When you first meet me, my nubby tail will be wiggling and I will let you fall in love with me. But when you take me home, I will be reserved and shy at first. I will slowly open up and show you my silly side. I will be your shadow so you no longer have to go to the bathroom alone. I am super smart and food motivated. I know how to sit, high five, down, and stay/wait. I’m working on leave it, drop it, and answering to my name (to be honest, I know my name, I just really like the treats). I would do best as an only dog or with a dog that is submissive, and with a family who will set firm and consistent boundaries. I’ve been living with a 5 year old child, and while I do LOVE HER, I have jumped at her when we all are excited, so I might be better suited with a family with children no younger than 5. (By the way, I can jump super high). I absolutely love my toys and food, but I can get a little protective of them. Since I spent some time living on the streets, I learned to guard what was mine to stay safe. Because of that, it’s best if other pets give me space during mealtime or when I have a toy. With love, patience, and consistency, I know I can learn to relax and share more easily. I walk very well on a leash, and like to stop to look at other dogs. I go potty outside (I use a doggie door at my foster’s house), and I enjoy baths and playing in the kiddie pool. I do worry when you are away, but if you promise to always come back, I can handle you leaving from time to time. I love my ears and butt scratches, and apparently my eyebrows are good luck so don’t forget to rub those. I will be your best friend, if you’ll be mine. Update: Metal has started showing aggression, unprovoked toward my son. I can not have a dog that will hurt a child in my home. Needing to rehome our 7yr old pitbull terrier. We have had her for two months and my son has started having breathing issues related to her specific pet dander. We are also in a rental that just updated policy of breed restriction no exception (even if an emotional support animal) Metal is house trained, crate trained and good with some humans. She can be calm but also has a silly side. She loves stuffed animals and treats them like her babies. She is dog reactive while walking which we are trying to improve. Does have pulling and spinning when seeing other dogs. Needs to have someone with good control and discipline.
