Story
One of the Newton County Animal Shelter advocates was at the shelter when "Mandy" was brought in as an owner surrender. Due to the shelter already being over capacity this sweet baby became urgent the moment that she was surrendered! We stepped in and rescued this sweet girl. We know that she is very dog friendly 🐶🐾🐶 but we aren't sure of cats just yet. She loves all people, big and little. She is a little shy when you first meet her, than she almost immediately warms up within just a few minutes and then becomes the most affectionate, lapdog and coach potato in the world. She is still so young, estimated to be between 2-3years old - so she is beyond all the puppy stages but still has so much life, and love to give!

It’s hard to write this, but we want to do what’s best for Rocko. Rocko came into our lives as a puppy after a neighbor found him wandering alone on Frog Road. He got a clean bill of health from the vet, and from that moment, he’s been family. He’s about a year and a half old now - playful, loyal, and full of love. His bark might fool you, but trust me, he’s a big softie at heart. He knows sit, stay, lay down, and paw, and with a little time he’ll pick up even more. This is not a decision we’ve made lightly. Life has gotten so busy that we just can’t give Rocko the time, attention, and energy he truly deserves. He deserves a home where he can thrive - where he’ll be loved, played with, and part of the daily rhythm of life. Because we want to make sure Rocko goes to a home that’s truly ready for the responsibility, there will be a small rehoming fee. This is just to help ensure he’s going to someone serious and prepared to love him like family.

"Courtesy Post" This is not a Street Paws animal, but we are assisting with placing a pet.  Kelly was surrendered to the shelter as a stray and left at the door pregnant where she gave birth to 8 puppies at the shelter. Kelly is a very sweet girl who loves affection and sitting with you giving puppy kisses and cuddles. Kelly loves to be around people and getting some play time in the shelter yard. Kelly is a gentle girl that is friendly, protective, brave and independent. Adoptions are limited to an approximately 150 mile radius from Locust Grove, GA, certain circumstances may allow exceptions.  Adoption fee is $250 To apply to adopt this pet, please fill out a Preliminary Adoption Application at  https://www.streetpaws.org/home/adopt.     This application does not commit you to an adoption. It is used to screen those interested to make sure the home is a good match for the pet and your family. I found the pit at take five car wash Clayton County tied to a pallet scene good dog needs a good home she is about 2 years old. She seems to be a one animal pet because she likes all of the attention. Looking for someone to love her and care for her and play because she likes to Chase balls. She loves the outside and she walks on a leash unless you have a fenced in yard she is good for a person who needs attention and assistance because she clings to you all day long. As far as adjectives to describe her she's playful loves to dance listen to music lovable loves to wrestle and and most of all she loved to cuddle and for you to rub her all day and if you remove your hand she puts it back on her head.
