Since Lincoln's arrival, he has been a gentleman and enjoys showing off all the tricks he can do! Lincoln knows how to sit, lay down, give paw and speak. He is strong on a leash, but the help of a harness makes walking much easier. Lincoln enjoys playing with toys and getting attention. Lincoln also needs to be the only pet. While here at the shelter, Lincoln has meet a couple of other dogs and does not like them. Lincoln has a hard time focusing when they are around and needs a home where he will not be in a busy neighborhood full of them. He is happy when meeting new people and cannot wait to be a part of a family again. This little monkey is George. George is a year old cutie pie with quite the zest for life. How did he get the name George, you ask? This fun loving guy is as curious as they come! Kennel life has been stressful for George but this smart cookie cozied up to the boss, quickly becoming BFF's with our Executive Director, Kristin. Since becoming Kristin's office mate, we have learned a lot about him. George is a happy-go-lucky fella who enjoys meeting people though is occasionally a little shy to start. Once he warms up, he is all about getting and giving love! George has a lot of energy and will make a wonderful companion to an active and outgoing person, or couple, who matches his play-style and exuberance level. He enjoys running in the fenced yard, going on walks, and playing indoors with his toys so he's looking for an active family that can give him the exercise and play time he desires. He is also very smart and loves to learn new things, especially when he's rewarded with treats.George is a big fan of toys - every day is Christmas for this guy! Given his play-style and level of excitability, we think he would do best in home without young children. George will also be happiest as your only love (no other pets, please!) but trust us, with his fun nature and sweet personality, you won't yearn for another dog. Cats and critters are also a no for our curious pal. Like many terriers, his prey drive is strong. Since George is still young, he would benefit from some training - positive reinforcement only! He has attended training classes with our volunteer dog trainer at the shelter which he truly enjoys. It is recommended he will continue with this training. George would love a family that would work with him on his manners and impulse control to help him build off of the progress he's made here with us. At the shelter, George has learned ‘sit', ‘leave it', ‘wait', and ‘paw'. Continued training will benefit him as he needs work with loose leash walking and learning the polite way to greet people. Our friend George likes to jump! We have also started crate training where he enjoys relaxing in his crate with his toys! This lil’ tater wedge came to us from our friends at local animal control after he was found with 6 other dogs in a UHaul back in January. PittieLove Rescue placed 2 other dogs from this situation last winter (Banana and Eddie), but this poor guy has been in a kennel for the better part of this year waiting for his chance. Jojo is a compact 50-lbs and looks like a baby russet potato. He has just the right amount of seasoning…a little spice kickin’ with his sweet personality.   Jojo is outgoing and needy all at the same time! He is a pro at making sure he maintains physical contact by touching or leaning into his human throughout the day and loves to be included in E.V.E.R.Y.T.H.I.N.G.! This plus-size and flavorful French Fry loves running on a long line in open spaces, dismantling stuffy toys with gusto, lick mats and enrichment toys, going on sniffaris, and every treat he’s ever been offered, ever.   Jojo is an active and friendly and super happy guy who gets excited anytime any person comes through the door. And when Jojo gets excited, he snorts like a piglet. Oh, and did we mention he loves to cuddle? When he settles, Jojo has a cute snore to let you know just how relaxed he’s actually feeling. He reminds us of Scrappy Doo with those spectacular ears and is a perfect pint-sized pup…a really happy and waggy boy who lives his life to love people. Jojo settles nicely while his foster parents WFH, laying on his dog bed or in his crate or on the couch chillin’ like Bob Dylan. But if they’re on the move, he follows them wherever they go to make sure he doesn’t miss out on anything important. He loves, loves, loves to sniff around, and loves it when his foster family hides treats so he can sniff them out.   We’re unsure that Jojo has ever lived in a home in the traditional sense, but he sure is figuring it out fast! He gets scared by loud sounds like smoke detector beeping or sirens outside and will shake and whine. He alternates his days between sleeping and being alert and hasn’t experienced a lot of middle ground, but we think that will come with settling more and more into family life. We think Jojo’s perfect home would have a little space to run around and a family that will take time to patiently teach him all that life has to offer as he continues to acclimate to being part of a family. Jojo is well on his way to learning what a real home feels like with his wonderful foster family, but he will need even more time and space to really decompress surrounded by love and safety. Jojo really likes other dogs, but can get super excited around canine friends and can come on a bit strong for most other pups, something that would require management in a home. And he has definitely said no thanks to kitties and other small critters. Because of this, we feel Jojo would thrive as the only pet in a situation where he could relax and enjoy being the center of attention, and scheduling playdates with equally matched dogs. This bobble headed sweetie came to us from our friends at Brockton Animal Control after being found as a stray. Huge thank you to repeat PittieLove Rescue foster Alex for giving this sweet boy a soft, safe place to land and decompress. In his foster home Ted has proven himself to be a complete gentleman! He is able to be left during a workday without a single peep- completely content to snooze and wait for his persons return. Ted also loves car rides, lounging in the backseat watching the scenery pass him by. Ted is proving to be the definition of a house hippo- he’s happy to go for walks and play fetch but he’s also just as happy snuggled up with his people.
