Story
Frankie is a sweetheart that loves everyone he meets. He has been through a lot the past few weeks. He was abandoned by has former family, who lived down the street from us, when they moved away suddenly. He stayed by their house for days waiting for them to come home before we realized he was abandoned and brought him to our home to care for him. Unfortunately one of our large dogs is aggressive towards Frankie and so he will still need to find a safe forever home with a different family. He is a ray of sunshine! He loves his walks, treats and dog friends and just wants to be part of the fun. He is a bundle of energy and doesn’t always realize how big he is though, so Frankie would do best in a home with a family that can continue to work with him to learn to channel his energy in fun and safe ways. If you can find a place in your home and heart for this sweet boy then you will have a loyal and loving companion for life!

Story
Chencho5 years oldAmerican Bully Have you ever dreamt of having your very own house hippo? Well dream no further! Chencho is the chunkiest house hippo on the block and is ready to dazzle you with his ample good looks and charm. This large couch potato would make a great companion in a variety of households as long as there are plenty of scritches available for him! He is not a fan of sharing his favorite things, so he would do best in a home without young children. He might be able to live with another dog with plently of management. Chencho seems to have some allergies so it will be important to have a close relationship with a veterinarian to keep him feeling his best. Regardless, he promises to wiggle his way into your heart in no time! If you think you are a good fit and would like to learn more, stop by our Boston Adoption Center. We have open adoption hours Tuesday-Sunday from 12pm-3pm no appointment needed to speak to a staff person regarding available dogs. *Chencho is currently in a foster home so would require a second visit to meet him in person* For more information on our adoption process, please visit https://www.mspca.org/adoption-centers/how-to-adopt/ Please note, in an effort to keep the stress levels reduced for the dogs in our care, our dog kennel areas will not be open to walk through. Interested adopters will work with a matchmaker on staff to determine which dog(s) they are interested in and if we can identify a match, potential adopters will be able to meet those dogs outside of the kennel. Cat and small animal areas will remain open to walk through.

Story
Meet Zeus! A perpetual, fast-moving wiggle butt, watch his enthusiam adorably take over when he says `hello`! He`s a high energy guy and he`s got the muscles to prove it, but in addition to exercise, he will also need some help learning how to settle - he may not be the `Netflix and chill` type at home to begin with. Zeus has previously lived with a cat, but due to his size and strength introductions should be slow. If you think this dog could be a good match for your home and would like to learn more, stop by our Boston Adoption Center. We have open adoption hours Tuesday-Sunday from 12pm-3pm – no appointment needed to speak to a staff person regarding available dogs. Preparing your home for your new dog or puppy ahead of time can help ease the transition for your new pet and set you both up for success should there be a dog that’s a good match! To learn more about how to make the first few weeks with your new dog or puppy the most successful it can be, please visit www.mspca.org/petresources. Kiki2 Years OldPitbullKiki is a happy, goofy girl ready to find a home of her own! This hefty gal is a great mix of energetic and snuggly, she loves to play and then take a nice nap after all the excitement. Kiki is still learning manners and hasn`t quite realized how big she is yet. She is looking for a family who wants to practice some basic manners like keeping her feet on the floor! Kiki isn`t too sure about other dogs and would likely prefer to be the center of attention. She might do okay with kids who don`t mind being bumped around by a big pittie bum!If you think this dog could be a good match for your home and would like to learn more, stop by our Boston Adoption Center. Santini has excellent manners and is house trained and crate trained. She would love to show off everything she has learned including sit, stay, down, and heel (for a treat of course)! Santini is happy to fit into her humans' routine and picks up quickly on new commands. She is very accommodating, walks well on a leash, and corrects/redirects easily. Santini loves to play, but is also happy to hang out with her people around the house.Santini would do best as the only dog in the house with an experienced dog owner who can maintain consistent boundaries and expectations to help her succeed and feel reassured. She is an athletic gal who loves to chase after balls and show off her signature ‘hopping prance’. She would love to have a fenced in yard or a local fenced in area so she can show off her moves! When she has finally expended all of her energy you can find her searching for the best sunbathing spot to take a snooze in. Santini is a sweet, gentle soul who wants nothing more than to be loved and make you laugh with her goofy antics. Please Note: All dogs are posted until they are officially adopted. This dog may have other interested adopters in line. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website at www.lasthopek9.org.May 23, 2024, 7:24 am
