Story
Frankie is a sweetheart that loves everyone he meets. He has been through a lot the past few weeks. He was abandoned by has former family, who lived down the street from us, when they moved away suddenly. He stayed by their house for days waiting for them to come home before we realized he was abandoned and brought him to our home to care for him. Unfortunately one of our large dogs is aggressive towards Frankie and so he will still need to find a safe forever home with a different family. He is a ray of sunshine! He loves his walks, treats and dog friends and just wants to be part of the fun. He is a bundle of energy and doesn’t always realize how big he is though, so Frankie would do best in a home with a family that can continue to work with him to learn to channel his energy in fun and safe ways. If you can find a place in your home and heart for this sweet boy then you will have a loyal and loving companion for life!

Story
MEET BRUNO! - Will you be his happily ever after? My adoption fee is waived!Bruno is a dapper, tuxedo clad prince who is looking for his Cinderella family. Let`s talk about his assets: he has great leash walking skills, he is quite the socialite with everyone he meets, and he is a quick study for picking up new skills. Not to mention, his personality and sense of humor are to die for! He makes us laugh with his silly sleeping positions and dramatic stretches. He sleeps through the night like royalty in his foster`s bed, and he loves to sleep in so don`t fear if you aren`t an early riser! OK, so what`s the catch? Well in order to snag this prince you will need to meet some basic criteria: no young kids or small/senior dogs or cats, and you must be committed to positive reinforcement training to work on his manners and potty training. Lost your shoe running down the stairs to the castle? Don`t worry, Bruno will grab that for you, but good luck getting it back! This boy is as mischievous as he is handsome, and he will give you a run for your money! But if you are up for just a little bit of elbow grease in the beginning, we promise it will pay off and he will be your true prince charming.Bruno is looking for a home with teens and/or adults only due to his exuberance. Bruno is currently up to date on all vaccinations, has been neutered, microchipped, and seen by our vet team. For more information on Bruno or any other animal currently residing at the Animal Rescue League of Boston, please call us at 617-426-9170. We welcome adopters from NH, RI, CT, and NY. However, we will be unable to facilitate same day adoptions due to state regulated paperwork requirements. TitanNeutered Male3 Years Old58 lbs This distinguished gentleman is already pretty adorable on his own, but he makes himself even cuter by carrying around a stuffed animal with him wherever he goes! He and his emotional support plushie would love to go to a home where he can frolic around and show off how much energy he has! He does seem to have some visual impairment, so it will be a good idea to have a solid relationship with your vet for his ongoing care. If this active guy sounds like your knight in shining armor, come check him out! Story
Chencho5 years oldAmerican Bully Have you ever dreamt of having your very own house hippo? Well dream no further! Chencho is the chunkiest house hippo on the block and is ready to dazzle you with his ample good looks and charm. This large couch potato would make a great companion in a variety of households as long as there are plenty of scritches available for him! He is not a fan of sharing his favorite things, so he would do best in a home without young children. He might be able to live with another dog with plently of management. Chencho seems to have some allergies so it will be important to have a close relationship with a veterinarian to keep him feeling his best. Regardless, he promises to wiggle his way into your heart in no time! If you think you are a good fit and would like to learn more, stop by our Boston Adoption Center. We have open adoption hours Tuesday-Sunday from 12pm-3pm no appointment needed to speak to a staff person regarding available dogs. *Chencho is currently in a foster home so would require a second visit to meet him in person* For more information on our adoption process, please visit https://www.mspca.org/adoption-centers/how-to-adopt/ Please note, in an effort to keep the stress levels reduced for the dogs in our care, our dog kennel areas will not be open to walk through. Meet Zeus! A perpetual, fast-moving wiggle butt, watch his enthusiam adorably take over when he says `hello`! He`s a high energy guy and he`s got the muscles to prove it, but in addition to exercise, he will also need some help learning how to settle - he may not be the `Netflix and chill` type at home to begin with. Zeus has previously lived with a cat, but due to his size and strength introductions should be slow. If you think this dog could be a good match for your home and would like to learn more, stop by our Boston Adoption Center. Santini has excellent manners and is house trained and crate trained. She would love to show off everything she has learned including sit, stay, down, and heel (for a treat of course)! Santini is happy to fit into her humans' routine and picks up quickly on new commands. She is very accommodating, walks well on a leash, and corrects/redirects easily. Santini loves to play, but is also happy to hang out with her people around the house.Santini would do best as the only dog in the house with an experienced dog owner who can maintain consistent boundaries and expectations to help her succeed and feel reassured. She is an athletic gal who loves to chase after balls and show off her signature ‘hopping prance’. She would love to have a fenced in yard or a local fenced in area so she can show off her moves! When she has finally expended all of her energy you can find her searching for the best sunbathing spot to take a snooze in. Santini is a sweet, gentle soul who wants nothing more than to be loved and make you laugh with her goofy antics. Please Note: All dogs are posted until they are officially adopted. This dog may have other interested adopters in line. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website at www.lasthopek9.org.April 29, 2024, 10:47 am

Bounce is the girl for you! She has a fantastically low-key personality, is low-maintenance in terms of exercise (she's happy with a leisurely walk or spending time out in a yard rolling in the grass and enjoying the sun,) and mostly just wants to spend time with her humans, even if it means simply snoozing at their feet.Bounce is fully crate and house-trained, non-destructive, incredibly intelligent, and highly motivated by treats so you can bond with her over doggy snacks while teaching her some new tricks. Although Bounce may be a little shy around unfamiliar people or places, she looks to her humans for reassurance and enjoys weekend outings to Home Depot, where she can proudly display her exceptional leash-walking skills. Bounce thrives on the love she gets from her family and would be happiest as an only pet where she can receive ALL of the attention and affection. Whether you work from home or in an office, have a fenced yard, or live in a denser area, Bounce will adapt easily to her new home as long as you can provide Bounce an abundance of love and snuggles! Please Note: All dogs are posted until they are officially adopted.
