Story
Hey everyone! Elton here from GLDR! I'm an nine-month-old, 40-pound terrier mix who was a bit overwhelmed at the kennel so I was thrilled when one of our staff took me home with her as a foster! I've been told I'm one of the cutest pups around and hope you want to make me part of your family! I'm thankful for having a lot of new experiences in my foster home and it's helping me to gain more confidence each day! Hanging with my foster mom and her two pups is the best! I'm becoming a bit rougher with my play style as I grow, but respond well to correction. I've also become more curious about her cat, and my foster mom thinks I'd do best in a home without them. A fan of all types of toys, I also like to roll around and play with my favorite blanket. When it comes to treats, I'm not a picky fellow and enjoy a variety of yummy morsels. My mom says I've got a healthy appetite, and uses a slow feeder bowl for my meals. She's able to take food and toys away from me with no issue. I've started to work on my commands and know with time and consistency, I'll do great! I'm well on my way to being house-trained as well. After a fun-filled day, I like to let out the biggest, loudest yawn to announce to everyone that I'm tired and ready for bed. After all, chasing my tail takes a lot out of a pup! I love to snuggle in my little bed and am learning to sleep through the night. I've proven to be an early bird, eager for all the things I get to experience each new day. My friends at GLDR want me to remind you that adopting a puppy is a long-term commitment. I'll need a dedicated family that will commit to training and encouraging me along the way. This includes lots of enrichment and daily exercise to keep me happy and engaged. A fenced-in yard would be a dream come true for me to have a safe place to explore and play the day away. As far as my forever family goes, my friends feel I'd do well in an active, predictable home with adults or families with kids ages eight and up. If you have a family fur baby of your own you'd like me to meet, just let me know and I'll be there. Do I sound like the kind of pup you'd like to make part of your family? I hope so! Story
Meet Beautrice the 6yr Pit Mix! Beautrice is a very good girl and can't wait to meet her forever family! She has the best house manners, is crate trained and she is always down to do whatever you want! She is such a sweet girl and she is so eager to please. She is the perfect mix of energetic and calm. She loves going for walks, chomping on our water hose, carrying her favorite stuffed toys around the house and taking naps on her doggy beds! We feel she would do great in almost any home. She would love a fenced backyard, but this is not required. She would also do fine with older children! Although Beautrice is almost the perfect dog in every sense, her one setback is she has proven to be quite dog selective. We have tested her with many doggy friends and unfortunately, she has only taken a liking to a few pups during her time here. Because of this dog aggression, she will require a home without any other dogs or cats. We have been working on this with her and she has made tremendous progress, although we still feel she would feel most comfortable (and it would be the safest) in a home without other animals. Does Beautrice sound like a good fit for your family? Reach out for an adoption application!
