Story
**If you are interested in adopting Isabelle, please contact Chris at 2cadamski@gmail.com.** After my mother passed away in November 2025, I made a promise—one I’ve held onto every day since—to keep her two beloved dogs safe, loved, and together. Isabelle and Tavin aren’t just pets… they are a living piece of her, her love, and the life she built. Isabelle, 3½ years old, is a Staffordshire Terrier mix with a heart as big as her loyalty. She is incredibly smart, deeply affectionate, and was lovingly trained by my mother as both an emotional support animal (ESA) and a psychiatric service dog (PSD). She has a calm strength about her—the kind of dog who just knows when you need her. Tavin, her 2½-year-old son, has grown up right by her side. He shares her loving nature and brings his own gentle, playful spirit into the world. Their bond is beautiful—they find comfort in each other, and it would mean everything to keep them together. This is the hardest decision I’ve had to make. As much as I love them, I’ve come to realize that I’m not home enough, and I don’t have the financial stability right now to give them the full, consistent life they truly deserve. And they deserve so much. They would thrive in a home with a large, fenced-in yard where they can run, play, and just be dogs. They are not good with cats, but they have so much love to give to the right person or family. I am not giving them up—I am trying to give them a better life. One filled with time, space, stability, and unconditional love. If you can offer either a safe place to land, you won’t just be adopting a dog—you’ll be continuing a story that means more than words can express. *This pet is featured through our Pet Re-Homing Program. This is a private pet. Please use your best judgement when deciding to meet. Any questions or comments regarding this pet should be directed to the owner listed. Again, this is not a pet affiliated with Oakland County Animal Shelter. This program was created to help residents of Oakland County needing placement of a loving pet and hopefully avoiding a stressful shelter environment.

Story
Princess is a 12 year old female Pit mix she is handicap. In 2019 she ran into the street and got hit by a car. She lost her paw so my husband wraps it so the cement doesnt break the skin. She loves her walks but needs a yard she loves to sun bath but it is impossible in an apt we are originally from San Antonio but came over here for my husband to work. But due to both of us needing knee surgery it is very hard when my husband comes from work to take her out. I myself can no longer take her either please if someone can provide a good home and a yard I know she would be happy. She loves kids and here at the apts my husband didnt want anyone to know her real name so he told them its Rosie cuz she is absolutely a very nosey dog. We call her nosey RosiePrincess is also kennel trained. Another good thing about princess she is not a barker inside when the door bell rings. And she Loves to hear music and watch cartoons

Story
We adopted Bronco when he was around 10 wks old. He was found dumped on a reservation with several other puppies. He was the perfect dog for my husband and I. He is very outgoing/active so he loves walking, swimming and anything that gets his heart rate going. He's played with other dogs but it does require a slow introduction with a mild mannered dog; dog parks are not for him. We also raised him with our cat but he has always tried to go after any strays, so we wouldn't recommend introducing him to a new cat. As for children, we always knew he wasnt a fan of little ones. Once I became pregnant, we hoped for the best but he did not take well to the baby. He ended up moving to Michigan with my brother but apartment life is not a good fit :( We are doing our best to find him a good home and know he would do best with an active person/couple. A yard is a must. Bronco is a very active, playful, and unique boy and he loves jumping in bed with you at the end of the day. He is an indoor dog.

Story
Metro Detroit — Looking for the right home for my 3-year-old pitbull, Tango. Tango is a sweet, affectionate, loyal dog who bonds deeply with his people, but he struggles with significant separation anxiety and needs a home better suited for his needs. He is house trained, knows commands, walks well on leash, is neutered, fully vaccinated, receives flea/heartworm prevention, good with cats, and enjoys other dogs. He has completed professional training and group classes. He’s people-oriented, loving, and has great manners in the home. Challenges: Tango becomes distressed when left alone and can be slow to warm up to new people. Ideal home: • Someone home often/flexible schedule OR • A home with another confident dog Currently on Fluoxetine/Trazodone. Supplies included. Serious inquiries only. Please message me with information about your home/lifestyle if interested.
