Story
Meet Scout! A handsome boy who has a big personality and an even bigger heart for the right person. Scout is looking for a patient, dog-savvy adopter who understands that building trust takes time—he’ll need multiple meet-and-greets before he's ready to head home. While he prefers to be the only pet in the household, Scout can enjoy doggy play dates with the right canine buddies outside the home. A kid-free environment will help him feel safe and relaxed, and he’ll thrive with a consistent training plan and a calm adjustment period as he settles into his new space. With the right support, Scout is ready to show off his goofy charm and loyal spirit. Could you be the one to help him blossom? - Around 5 years 4 months old - Currently just under 75lbs fully grown - Prefers to be king of his castle with no other animals, but will do doggy playdates - Prefers a home with older kids who can help train and respect his space - Multiple meetings & training plan before going home - Adoption fee: $175 *sponsored* This dog is currently housed at our shelter. If you are interested, please come in at your earliest availability during our open hours, no appointment necessary. We do same-day adoptions, do not hold dogs, and work on a first-come, first-served basis as long as it is an excellent fit for both parties. If you have questions or want to possibly schedule an appointment on one of our closed days, you may email dogs@adoptapetfenton.com. Dog adoption fees include spay/neuter, rabies vaccine (if age-appropriate), distemper/parvo combination vaccine, leptospirosis vaccine (if age-appropriate), bordetella vaccine, deworming, heartworm test (if age appropriate), heartworm preventative, flea preventative, a dental cleaning (if necessary), and a microchip. Future vaccines, tests, and treatments will be the responsibility of the adopter.

Story
Meet Mac! 🐾 Mac is a 3-year-old pittie mix with a big personality and an even bigger heart. This handsome guy has been in foster care for two years, where he’s learned all the good manners—he’s crate trained, potty trained, and knows how to settle in at home after a fun day. Mac is the ultimate goofball! He loves to make his people laugh with his silly antics and happy energy. He’s also a loyal companion who thrives on attention and playtime. Because Mac loves having his humans all to himself, he needs to be the only dog in the home. A fenced-in yard would be perfect for him to run, play, and burn off his zoomies safely. If you’re looking for a fun-loving, goofy, and affectionate best friend, Mac might just be your guy. After two years of waiting, he’s more than ready to finally find his forever home—could it be with you? ❤️ Adoption application: https://forms.gle/BxkxP95Evs5spcPw6

Story
Meet Beatrice the 8yr Pit Mix! Beatrice has been in rescue for over one year and she can't wait to meet her forever family! She has the best house manners, is crate trained, and she is always down to do whatever you want. She is such a sweet girl, and she is so eager to please. She is the perfect mix of energetic and calm. She loves going for walks, chomping on water hoses, carrying her favorite stuffed toys around the house and taking naps on her doggy beds. She would love a fenced backyard, but this is not required. She would also do fine with older children! Beatrice is very dog selective and would not do well with cats. She is looking for a forever home where she can be the one and only baby. Does Beatrice sound like a good fit for your family? Reach out for an adoption application!

Story
Meet Bama the 6yr Pit Mix! Bama is a sweet, playful and well-behaved girl. She loves meeting new friends- both human and doggy! She does great with pups of all shapes and sizes and tends to be on the submissive side. When she’s not playing with her doggy friends, she loves sticking close to her people. She is a big cuddle bug and loves getting cozy and napping next to her loved ones! In her new home, she would love a doggy sibling and fenced yard, however these things are not required. Bama knows basic commands, has good house manners and is also crate trained. She is pretty low maintenance and does not need excessive exercise or potty breaks throughout the day. However, she is always down to go on a walk or adventure if given the opportunity! She also enjoys sunbathing outside for as long as we let her. She definitely enjoys the little things in life! Bama is up to date on vaccines, spayed, HW- and microchipped. Does Bama sound like a good fit for your family? Reach out for an adoption application!

Story
Queen Regina truly lives up to her royal name! This beautiful, large girl has overcome a tough start in life. When she first arrived, she was severely malnourished and unsure of the world around her. But with love, care, and good meals at CCRC, she’s blossomed into the confident, affectionate queen she was always meant to be. Now thriving in her foster home, Queen Regina is being spoiled (as every queen should be!) by her devoted foster mom. She’s learning that people are kind, that soft beds are meant for snuggles, and that life is full of good things like treats, belly rubs, and outdoor adventures. Queen Regina is looking for a forever family who will continue showing her all the love and positivity she deserves. She’d do best in a home that will cherish her gentle spirit, keep her well-fed, and make her feel safe and adored every day. If you’re ready to open your heart and home to a loyal companion with a heart of gold, Queen Regina would love to meet you. Give this royal lady the happy ending she’s been waiting for!We do not have a facility for you to visit. You are welcome to email ccrcdogs@ccrcdogs.com with specific questions, but please complete the online application, which can be found at www.ccrcdogs.com, to secure your position in line for one of our dogs. You can also find a description of our process on that same page. Puppies will not be available to be seen until their 10-day quarantine has passed. Our adoption fees are listed on our website and cover the cost of the spay/neuter, age-appropriate shots and tests, medications to bring the dog to full health, and a free visit with one of our approved vets after adoption. Most dogs at CCRC are obtained from animal control centers so there is often very little known about their history or current habits. You can always expect to do some training, regardless of whether you adopt a dog or a puppy, including crate training, house training, and basic manners. CCRC has a variety of materials and resources to assist you with this, and we have trainers who will offer free phone/email support. November 30, 2025, 8:37 pm
