Story
This is Brandi Lynn!! She is the sweetest 2 year old American Pittbull. My son, acquired her with his girlfriend in San Diego, CA, where he was stationed for the Navy. During a deployment, the girlfriend left and he had full custody of Brandie. He was recently moved to an Overseas Base and is not allowed to bring his girl with him. It is with the heaviest heart that we have made the decision to rehome her. She is currently being fostered by his sister, Sky, but she cannot keep her after 5/31/2023. Brandie is a lover!! So sweet, loves to cuddle. She may have be kenneled at night, as she thinks bedtime is playtime. She has has some professional training and did very well. She love brain toys, and it helps keep her emery levels down. She does great with other dogs, but so far no luck in trainer her with cats. A yard or frequent walks are helpful.

Story
Layla is a very affectionate 4-year-old Pitbull mix. She LOVES food, car rides and cuddling with her humans. She will follow you around your home and is happy to do whatever you are doing. She knows 'sit', 'stay', 'lay down' and shake ('paw') commands and she's crate trained and potty trained. She is leash trained but tends to tug when excited. Layla needs a low traffic home as the only pet and with no children. A home with a yard would work best. She's very strong so her owner needs to be capable of handling strong, reactive dogs (triggers include strangers, kids and other animals). She can be scared of new people and needs slow introductions with lots of treats but once she warms up, she is the sweetest dog.

Story
Akira is a 4-year-old bully mix who loves to snuggle and walk. She is a friendly and well-behaved dog who gets along with kids, cats, and non dominant dogs that do not get in her face. She is spayed, housebroken, crate trained, and leash trained. She is also fully vetted, vaccinated, and microchipped. Akira is a sweet and easy-going dog who listens well and enjoys being with her people. She is looking for a loving family who will give her the attention and affection she deserves. Akira is a wonderful dog who will make you happy every day. To help pay for vet bills and care (transportation, food, toys, etc..) a $225 donation is requested at the time of adoption. All of our adoptions are contingent upon an approved application, home visit, reference check, obedience training agreement, and signing of adoption contract. All our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped before adoption. Our dogs are companion animals that live indoors as part of your family. Please do not apply if your plan is to have them as outside dogs, garage dogs, porch dogs or outside kennel dogs.  We do not ship dogs.   All of our dogs are in private foster homes. We are not a shelter with hours. A visit can be arranged after an adoption questionnaire has been filled out and sent in. Please try to email first. We are all volunteers that work so we can not easily take or make phone calls.June 6, 2023, 11:56 am

Story
Hey there! I see you checking out my profile so let me introduce myself. My name is Cane and I am new to the area. I came here with my brother Clark from Indiana where there wasn’t much “Midwest hospitality” given to us. I am so happy to be here in Nebraska living the good life! My current favorite hobby is hugging humans…and when I say hugging humans, I mean grab you with my paws and hold tight until I’m forced to let go type of hug. I seriously just can’t get enough of these snuggly, kind people that have been taking care of me! I LOVE everyone I meet, trust immediately and just want to be wherever someone warm and cuddly is. Dogs friends are nice to play with sometimes. Cats? I'm not sure what those are or if I'd like them around much, I do have a high prey drive already so maybe I'll just stick with doggos. I like to bounce around outside like a bunny when I get real excited, I saw some kids on a bounce thing but that makes me too anxious. I know how to do my business outside mostly and, although I am kennel trained, I really do fit next to someone like their missing puzzle piece instead of being closed in a kennel all night! Since life was kinda rocky before I moved to a foster home, I'm thinking I need some extra security and would love if my life-long bodyguard was home more often than not. When you work from home, we can be office mates, I promise I'm the perfect coworker! I am highly treat motivated and plan to use that motivation to learn some new tricks as I get older. I am finding out that in my new home I will be fed every day, without fail, so that really puts my mind at ease when it comes to food. If you’re ready to test out one of my world-famous hugs fill out an application to adopt me today! The suggested adoption fee for Cane is $415. Bullies-N-Beyond ResQ is a non-profit corporation that is 100% volunteer operated. Adoption fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals. All dogs adopted through BNBR are adopted with DHPP, Rabies, Lepto and Bordetella. All dogs will also be adopted out as already spayed or neutered if old enough, or a voucher will be provided once the dog becomes of age. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver. BNBR does not adopt on a first serve basis. All available dogs are adopted based on their needs to provide the best fit home. ##1708814##

Story
My name is Murphy and I am a gorgeous brindle boy.  Per my DNA test I'm 37% American pitbull terrier, 12% Australian cattle dog and 7% Labrador retriever. I am a good boy, sadly I've been at the shelter for a long time :( and here is what you need to know:  I need a home with a great leader who can continue my current routines, I'm kennel trained and muzzle trained if you live in an area where i need to wear a muzzle to go for walk. I know sit, down, wait, I love walks and hikes, car rides, belly rubs under the sun, eating ice, doing zoomies on the snow, hunting little creatures..and I love people!  I have a high prey drive so no small dogs or cats for me. I like children but I think it's best that I live with older ones as I might be a little too strong for them. If you think I can come to your house and show you what a good boy I am, please reach out and let's meet!   Thank you!!!  Love, Murphy.      The adoption fee is $350 and covers age appropriate vaccines, a microchip, a neuter and a home training session.   Applications are typically worked in time stamp order based on date/time of submission.  If you have other dogs in your home, they must all meet the potential adoptee.  It may save you a trip to bring them with you when you visit, if you are certain you want to adopt a new family member. *****We are currently operating by appointment only during the social distancing stage of quarantine.   If you want to meet this pet, or are interested in adopting, please submit an inquiry or email to tchspapillion@gmail.com. Someone from the rescue will contact you and/or your family and determine, on a broad level, whether you might be a fit for the animal.  If so, they will provide instructions for completing the application. Your application will be reviewed and you will be contacted to set up a time to meet at the shelter or the foster home.   The introduction between you and the pet will be supervised by one of the dog counselors or the foster.   If all goes well, you can adopt during the same visit. Please be sure to follow us on Facebook to learn more about Town and Country Humane Society and our mission. ##960891##

Sigh is a spunky sweetheart 3 year old pitbull who found herself in the shelter when her owner could no longer care for her.  Sigh is short and boxy, with a reverse brindle coat that looks like tiger stripes. It's a must to see!  She hopes for a yard with a nice lawn, she loves playing in the grass.  Sigh is a bit of a couch potato, she prefers to lounge after a short walk and gets overheated quickly.  She is a hoot and will always make sure you get a good laugh.  She enjoys kongs and milkbone cookies.  Sigh is good with kids but prefers to be the only pet. A 6ft privacy fence is a plus so she doesn't have to meet neighbor dogs through the fence.  Come out and see if Sigh if the one for you. The adoption fee is $350, not including tax, and that fee covers age appropriate vaccines, a microchip, and a spay/neuter. Applications are typically worked in time stamp order based on date/time of submission.  If you have otherdogs in your home, they must all meet the potential adoptee.  It may save you a trip to bring them with youwhen you visit, if you are certain you want to adopt a new family member. We are currently operating by appointment only due to a shortage of personnel.   If you want tomeet this pet, please go to www.townandcountryhumanesociety.org and click Adopt.  Then scroll down toOnline Application and select Dog Application.   Your application will be reviewed and you will be contactedto set up a time to meet at the shelter or the foster home.   The introduction between you and the pet will besupervised by one of the dog counselors or the foster.   If all goes well, you can adopt during the same visit. Story
Melvin is a young, friendly, Pit Bull Terrier who was scheduled for euthanasia in a Missouri shelter. Thankfully this sweet, goofy boy found his way to rescue and is learning all about the good life!  Melvin loves the company of people, including children, and looks forward to visits from the grandchildren in his foster home! Melvin enjoys the safety of family life and likes to be close to his humans. He's an active boy who likes playing fetch, tug, and taking brisk walks in nature or, hey, around the neighborhood works too! While Melvin is a young guy with energy to match, he also appreciates a lazy evening of couch snuggles after a busy day of play. Melvin is a quick learner and knows several commands; he also knows appropriate bathroom behavior (take it outside!) and he's comfortable using a kennel. Melvin doesn't always appreciate the company of other dogs (or cats) and will need to be the only animal in the home. As an active, smart boy, Melvin will need a 6' fenced yard to keep him safe and close to home. We think Melvin's furever future includes an active family with children over the age of 8, who are curious about the world and want to offer this handsome boy the best life has to offer!   Before applying to adopt Melvin, you need to be familiar with your local breed-specific legislation regarding Pit Bulls. Applicants must live within 50 miles of the Omaha/Council Bluffs area. The suggested adoption donation for Melvin is $265.  We are a 501c3 organization which means that your donation may be TAX DEDUCTIBLE.  Your donation goes toward the high cost of veterinary care for our animals in rescue, as well as providing supportive services to animals in homes. Information about the adoption process:  All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION.  Once your application is approved, we will put you in touch with the dog’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match.  If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the pet.  The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver. Please Note:  We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter.  We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each dog, based on the dog’s needs.  If you and the dog are not a good match, we will help you select another dog, or we will keep your approved application on file for 6 months. Story
Willow is a female Pitbull Terrier x American Bully born approximately October 3, 2019. She is a sweet girl that loves all the attention she can get. Willow has a lot of energy and she likes to partake in door dashing every now and then - like we all sometimes do! She would need a six foot tall fenced-in yard to run off her energy and play to her hearts content. She loves tug of war and squeaky toys! Willow enjoys her daily walks and her time exploring the outdoors. She may be a very active girl, but Willow is the best of both worlds because she is also very cuddly and affectionate. Willow finds comfort in spending time on the lap of her loved ones. She suffers from separation anxiety and is sometimes stressed around young children. Sitting on the lap of someone she trusts really eases her stress. Willow would enjoy a home with low traffic and someone who would be around most of the time.  She'll need an owner with previous experience with nervous dogs and she'll need someone who is willing to continue her training. Willow would do well with toys that are rubber and nearly impossible to tear into pieces. The suggested adoption donation for Willow is $300. Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization meaning that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. We are a 100% volunteer rescue committed to giving animals a second chance at life. All donations go toward that mission. Adoption fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals.  In 2021 alone, we were able to provide animal Healthcare costing over $306,000 covered mainly through adoption fees. Please Note: A Courtesy Post designates that an animal is still in the home of its owner and not in a Muddy Paws foster. This means that our exposure to the animal is limited since we are only assisting the owner in finding a new home for their pet.  Before applying to adopt Willow, you need to be familiar with your local breed-specific legislation regarding Pit Bulls. Applicants must live within 50 miles of the Omaha/Council Bluffs area.  Adoptions for Willow are limited to the area within 50 miles of Omaha so that she can continue to take advantage of free training from our certified positive reinforcement trainer.  Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application is approved, we will put you in touch with the animal’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal. Story
Say hello to Quinn/Gurl, a Pit bull Terrier mix born approximately on October 12, 2021. This pretty girl prefers to go by Quinn and loves to be by her people and is the perfect "velcro dog". Quinn loves to play with her foster siblings and her foster thinks she would thrive with another dog in the home. We also believe thar older children would be a great match for Quinn's energy! Now don't let her fool ya, this girl has got hops so a 6-foot fence would be best for this girl to be able to run around in the backyard. So who is ready to adopt this sweet girl and be the best part of her new ticket in life?  Quinn came to rescue Parvo+ she beat this deadly virus and is enjoying her new ticket on life. Due to the fact that dogs who beat Parvo shed this virus for 3 weeks after treatment Quinn will not be able to go to her furever home until 11/5/2022. But we encourage you to fill out the adoption application to start the process now! The suggested adoption donation for Quinn/Gurl is $325. In 2021 alone, we provided animal Healthcare totaling over $307,000 covered mainly through adoption fees. Story
My name is Tillie, and I’m part Beagle and believed to be part Boxer. Does that mean that I’m a Bogle? I was born on 3/10/2023.  An organization called Artemis Project saved me from an unfortunate life, and I came to Bullies-N-Beyond to find my forever home.  Here’s a list of things that my foster mom has already learned about me: I’m an excellent snuggler and love to give and get kisses. Squeaky toys are very fun.  Squeak! Chew toys keep me from exploring items that don’t belong to me. Apartment life may not work for me because I have a big voice. I’m cautious when meeting new dogs, but I quickly make friends. Learning to sleep in a kennel isn’t too bad if I have a comfy bed for security. Since Boxers are somewhat large and Beagles are somewhat small, I’m not sure what size I’ll be when I grow up, but I’m certain that I’ll still be 100% cute.  Whether Boxer-size or Beagle-size, I would love to be a member of your family!  How about it? The suggested adoption fee for Tillie is $415. ##1734534##
