Story
Despite a challenging start to life, Venus has thrived under the care of her wonderful foster family. She became a part of the APARC family in November 2023 after being discovered abandoned with her siblings at the CJ Brown Reservoir Marina when she was only 4-5 weeks old. On January 5, 2024, she faced a setback when she fractured her little ankle, leading to a severe infection that almost resulted in losing her leg. Fortunately, her foster family's dedication saved her leg, though she later battled a severe skin infection causing most of her hair to fall out. Now, after several months, Venus is prepared to join a loving family that will guide her towards exciting adventures instead of misfortunes! Venus is a spirited and affectionate pup who has won the hearts of many medical professionals and visitors at her foster home in her short life. She adores people of all ages, plays well with dogs, and is curious around tolerant cats. Venus is a cuddle bug who will sweetly persuade you to sit down so she can snuggle up next to you or on your lap. Her energetic nature makes her a great companion for outdoor activities like hiking or playing fetch in the backyard, making her an ideal match for an active family or kids. Despite a past leg injury, she still enjoys jumping, so a fenced backyard is a must. At six months old and weighing around 35lbs, Venus is a female pit mix. She’s had 3 rounds of DAPP, bordetella, and is microchipped along with having been dewormed multiple times. She is crate trained and mostly housebroken, with some accidents due to her recent medical issues. A 6ft fenced yard or supervised tie-out area is needed for her outdoor time. Venus will be adopted on a spay agreement at one year old, considering her health concerns. Her adoption fee is $250. If you're interested in welcoming Venus into your home, please complete the form www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/OHAP/Dog and reach out to us! Meet and greets will take place in Enon, OH.

Story
My boyfriend and I got him, and he ended up not wanting him anymore. The dog lived with him and now he’s with me. I’m not sure if me having him in my current living situation is going to work, I’m living with people who already have 2 dogs. Their dogs are not being as welcoming as we thought they would, and keep showing signs of aggression towards him. He just turned a year old April 7th, he’s really sweet and smart. He loves his toy ball, and to play. He can sit, shake, lay down, roll over, wait. Only quirk he has a thing for shadows and likes to chase them. He’s good with cats as long as they’re inside. He’s good with other dogs as far as I know, he’s been around other dogs and has done fine, he might bark at them but its just him wanting to say hi and play with them. He loves playing and running around with my younger sisters, he’s young and energetic so maybe a home with kids would be good for him seen as he loves to play.

Story
Hello, Zoey has been apart of our family since she was 6 months old we hate that we have ro get rid of her but have no other option. She likes to run and play and she is great with our girls. In higher anxiety situations im not sure how she would be with other children since she is now 7. We rescued Zoey from a owner that wasn't taking care of her and has been a big part of our family since and we have took great care of her. Like I said im not sure how she would be around other children other than my girls but would not have her around other pets unless they are larger. Zoey is a great dog we would love for her to go to a loving home
