Hi, my name is Murphey and I'm one of the Irish Crew. My sisters and brother were rescued and brought to MVPC last March. We definitely had the Luck of the Irish on our side. I'm young and full of life. People say I'm sweet and friendly, but I like to think I'm just being me. I'm curious about everything, which makes me a bit of a goofball sometimes. But hey, that's just part of my charm! I love to play, and I've got energy to spare. I'm also pretty independent, so I won't mind if you need some 'me' time. But don't let my independent streak fool you; I'm fiercely loyal and love nothing more than spending time with my favorite humans. My spirit is akin to Ed the hyena from the Lion King - full of mischief and fun. And, like an Irish mobster, I'm full of charm and charisma. Hey! My name is Zephyr and I am so happy that MVPC took a chance on me! I was about 7-8 weeks old when they saw my sad picture at an overcrowded shelter. I was a stray who obviously had something wrong with my back legs. They looked like chicken wings (my knees pointed outward/toes touching) < >...just like that! I went to MVPC's vet and had consults at OSU lined up but it turned out.....my own puppy PT was all that I needed. Everyone says that I might have been kept in a small carrier that didn't allow me to move or even stand. Once I got to my foster home I grew stronger by the day and have turned out to be a super good MVP! I love running, playing & eating. Snuggling is awesome too - once I've gotten the wiggles out. I am working hard at doggie manners, house breaking, crate training and leash training. I am getting out to events now and enjoy all of the pets & belly rubs. Fennec is a gorgeous bully breed who is all muscles, with mountain peak ears and hazy green eyes. You could spend all day counting his chocolate chip-like spots. Fennec is about 4 years old and weighs under 50lbs. He knows his basic manners such as sit, stay, lay down, and off. He is also a proper gentleman and keeps his kennel clean through the night. Fennec loves anything soft and warm! He will snuggle under any blanket with you. Just make sure he has his own Squishmellow! Don't let the snuggles fool you though! Fenn loves to romp around in the yard and play with his foster family. He loves to make friends but can get anxious to meet others. Hello Everyone - my name is Ruby Riot, though I have no earthly idea where the latter part of the name came from, because I am a very sweet, very proper lady. Aside from being downright gorgeous, I am also a happy, well-behaved companion and world-class snuggler. I love to play with other dogs of all shapes and sizes and am always ready for an adventure. I do well in the car, and love to be out in public meeting people and getting all the pets. I have really good leash manners and am always up for a walk, though I sometimes get distracted by other dogs and the occasional squirrel or other furry little distraction. I’m crate trained and house-broken. Though between you and me, I prefer not to be in the crate, because you aren’t in there with me. You should get a bigger crate. I’m still working with my foster human on basic commands. I know “sit” and “shake,” though for the life of me, I don’t understand the point of “stay.” If I stay, then how can I be right beside you when you walk away? That just seems dumb, but you two-legged critters are funny that way. I have a lump on my chest but the vet checked me out and I've been cleared - it's just a cyst, so I'm on the hunt for my furever home! “Hello everyone! My name is Quincy. After my owner passed away, someone promised to take care of me. But they didn’t. They chained me to a tree and left me rot for what seemed like an eternity. Fortunately, I was rescued from that living hell, but I came to MVPC in really bad shape. I was emaciated, had no fur, and was riddled with skin, ear, and respiratory infections, and was heart-worm positive to boot. After months of treatment, I’m finally putting that nightmare behind me, and I now remember what it feels like to be loved thanks to my friends at MVPC. My body will always carry scars and reminders of that terrible time in my life, and my stamina isn’t as good as I would like, but I have a huge heart, and an amazing ability to see the best in people! I love everyone I meet, young or old. I enjoy car rides and walks but am also happy to crash in your lap for snuggles and pets. Belly rubs are my personal favorite, and a must if you want to adopt me. I like chew toys on occasion and will shred a stuffed animal in record time. But I really just want cuddle time with my human. Having been nearly starved to death, I am highly food motivated, but I am working really hard to be gentle when taking treats. I am housebroken, do good in my crate and am really good on a leash. Boston is a 6 year old pitbull terrier mix, but he prefers to be known as cutest pup around. Boston is a go getter and loves to aim for success. He is crate trained, leash trained and house trained. Triple threat? We'd say so! He gets along well with cats and dogs. Big toy lover, but toy time is his alone time. He like to self reflect while he has a good toy to chew on. “Hello everyone! My name is Quincy. After my owner passed away, someone promised to take care of me. But they didn’t. They chained me to a tree and left me rot for what seemed like an eternity. Fortunately, I was rescued from that living hell, but I came to MVPC in really bad shape. I was emaciated, had no fur, and was riddled with skin, ear, and respiratory infections, and was heart-worm positive to boot. After months of treatment, I’m finally putting that nightmare behind me, and I now remember what it feels like to be loved thanks to my friends at MVPC. My body will always carry scars and reminders of that terrible time in my life, and my stamina isn’t as good as I would like, but I have a huge heart, and an amazing ability to see the best in people! I love everyone I meet, young or old. I enjoy car rides and walks but am also happy to crash in your lap for snuggles and pets. Belly rubs are my personal favorite, and a must if you want to adopt me. I like chew toys on occasion and will shred a stuffed animal in record time. But I really just want cuddle time with my human. Having been nearly starved to death, I am highly food motivated, but I am working really hard to be gentle when taking treats. I am housebroken, do good in my crate and am really good on a leash. I enjoy short walks in the park or around the neighborhood. If you are looking for a happy, loyal friend who will shower you with doggy kisses, please check me out. Meet Winny, the new love of your life. Winny will love you right back with cuddles and being held. She loves kids and other dogs. Winny is a very excited greeter though, so a home with smaller children would need extra attention so she does not accidentally knock over a little one with her excitement. Winny also LOVES walks and car rides, but will definitely lead the way on a walk so she will need someone who can hold down the fort. So much love going around with Winny. When Winny is by herself at home it takes her a few minutes to calm in her crate, but she even sleeps in her crate, with the command "nap", at night to let you get your beauty rest. Speaking of commands, this smart little girl knows "sit" and "come". Squeaky toys are her favorite and Winny is potty trained like a big girl. Winny still neeeds a slow feeder for meals since she eats with gusto. Winny is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. Hi there, I'm Vernon! I am a super snuggly sweetheart. I have the the softest, rabbit-like fur you’ll ever touch. I'm a bulldog mix with the cutest underbite, really, I'm a total cuddlebug and love nothing more than curling up close for a nap—or playing joyfully with other dogs. Before rescue, I was surviving as a stray on the streets for months, too scared to trust despite many kindhearted attempts. When I finally decided it was okay to trust and taken in, I had some serious wounds from life outside — I got some TLC, antibiotics, and love. But that is all behind me now and my foster says I've healed beautifully, both inside and out. I am gentle, affectionate, and ready to bond deeply with a forever family. While I haven't met cats yet, I do great with other dogs and would thrive in a home with canine companions or loving humans who adore snuggles. Now that my rough days are behind me, I'm ready for a soft bed, full belly, and lots of love—maybe with you?
