Story
Hi, my name is Misty Blue and I am a spitfire, but in a good way. First, I am beautiful, but that can’t be all you love about me. I came into the rescue very pregnant and gave birth within 36 hours of arriving. I was a very protective, good momma, and learned to trust my foster mom slowly. Once my puppies were weaned and adopted, we set out to make me the best version of myself. I am an athlete through and through and would excel at agility, hiking with a backpack and anything and everything that involves a job. I can jump several feet into the air, climb most things and I balance like a champ. I am stubborn, and bonding and trust are very, very important to me. I need daily interaction, exercise and mental stimulation to be happy. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the sprinkler and will play in it, biting at the water for as long as you will let me. I also swim! And my favorite game may be parkour. I'll climb ladders, go down slides...anything physical I am totally game. Then, I'lll happily snuggle in for a nap. I spent two weeks at a board and train, where I began learning how to play appropriately with other dogs and meet some new people. I am good with people, and am good in public, so training can continue anywhere! An experienced owner is a must, as I am smarter than most dogs (and people) and need a firm but fun family. I chase all small creatures and will need a good fence to securely run my energy out. If you are looking for a workout buddy, someone to go on adventures with, then lay on the couch to watch a movie when all the excitement is done for the day, I may be your girl. Story
Hi, my name is Tom Bodett and I’ll leave the light on for ya…. In all seriousness, I, along with another dog, were abandoned at a local hotel and some awesome police officers got us to MVPC. I am a beautiful boy, and very devoted to my people. I love to play, and am quite active, but I am also a lover through and through. I love people and my only goal is to make you happy. While I get along with other dogs outside the home, inside the home, I get nervous around them. I am working on this in professional training! I am very strong and will need a family that will continue my training and take me on adventures to get my energy out, but dog beds and jammies are also much appreciated! I have THE best facial expressions and will literally try anything with you and for you. I really am that sweet and devoted! I cannot, however, swim…I tried and it didn’t go well. I sank. It wasn’t pretty and kinda embarrassing. But don’t worry, I’ll still happily travel with you…hotels with pools and all. I am currently on seizure medicine for a condition called “fly strike syndrome” where I would look like I was trying to catch a fly but there is nothing there. With the medicine, I no longer do this! It runs about $50 a month, but it definitely helps me be the best version of myself! ADOPTION FEE: $175 (All MVPC dogs are heartworm-tested and on prevention, completely vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, crate-trained and house-trained) I AM READY TO GO HOME!! Story
Hi, my name is Juliana and MVPC took me and my five 3-week old puppies into a foster home, because let's face it. Shelters are no place for a mom and babies. I raised some amazing puppies (known as the "J" litter) and now I get to join them in my quest for a forever home! I am a velcro dog, meaning I really want to be with you. I like other dogs, and am learning to mind my manners now that the puppies are in their foster homes! We were DNA tested, and several breeds popped up, so I really am a fun, Heinz 57 mutt. I need a bit of time to warm up to men, but it isn't necessarily because I was abused, I just don't have much exposure to life! So I need a family who is looking for a sweet, athletic dog that can go on adventures and experience life with them! ADOPTION FEE: $175 (All MVPC dogs are heartworm-tested and on prevention, completely vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, crate-trained and house-trained) ADOPTER: Dog experience BIRTHDAY: 1/11/21 FENCE: Required (an electric fence is not an acceptable form of containment) DOG FRIENDLY: Yes! Story
Hi! I am Gypsy Rose 🌹 and looking for a soul mate. I've done the dating scene but I am ready to find Mr. (or Ms.) Awesome so I can give someone everything I have for the rest of my life. I am a 5 year old, 67 pound, bully breed mix looking for love! I prefer athletic men, but I swing both ways, so both men and women may apply. I am a BIG kisser that enjoys affection, so if you don't like PDA, keep scrolling, honey! While I enjoy time to myself, I am a complete goofball that loves to play. I love going for walks, hikes, and even a run, especially with a buff fella that has skills like me. Maybe you could be my playmate? I love playing with other dogs but again, I am sturdy girl so bigger is better for this fit and active chick! As an added bonus, we can find time to snuggle afterwards, I love a good cuddle with a soft blanket and don't care at all about personal space.I am a bit of a neat freak. I like to keep myself clean and I will not be going on the floor. I prefer to do my business outdoors, thank you very much. My crate is a safe space for me. It is a great place for me to focus and find my center. Meditation is very important to me. So if you are serious about being in a committed relationship with a passionate and loving lady, let's meet up so we can see if we could be the match we have both been dreaming of! One night stands need not apply.Apply to adopt this fun loving gal today at www.pawpatroldayton.com/adopt! I am spayed, vaccinated, heartworm negative, and microchipped. Gypsy is spayed, vaccinated, chipped, parasite-free, and ready to find her family! Her adoption fee is $200. All of our animals are vaccinated, micro-chipped and spayed/neutered before being adopted.

Story
Rising from the ashes, we bring you Fennec! Fennec was rescued last year from the fires in Estill County, Kentucky. He spent 7 months in a rural shelter before coming to his foster home. Fennec is a hunky bully mix with hazy green eyes, ears as tall as mountains, and a hundred chocolate chip spots. We believe Fennec is about 2 years old, weighing ~45 lbs. He knows some basic commands such as sit, stay, and lay down. We are proud to announce that he is now kennel trained and will go into his kennel without being told. However, Fennec is still learning that playful mouthing is not good-boy behavior and does require the occasional correction. Once comfortable in his environment, he is the perfect balance of playful and cuddly. He loves to be comfortable and will lay on anything soft and warm! Fennec enjoys tanning his booty in the sunshine, chewing on toys, wrestling with his foster siblings, and snuggling on the couch. Fennec gets along with other dogs, large or small, as well as cats. He does need slow and proper introductions to feel at ease with other animals. If Fennec seems like the right fit for you, please go to www.pawpatroldayton.com/adopt. He is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $210.00. All of our animals are vaccinated, micro-chipped and spayed/neutered before being adopted.

Story
Moose is the most lovable dog, and will catch your heart with his sweet face. He loves his cuddles and toys and we would love for him to find a home with a big yard when he gets the zoomies. Moose is house trained. Our decision to rehome him has nothing to do with his behavior, but due to relocating and moving in with family members. He is great with all other dogs - he has a habit of getting overly excited and trying to jump so he would be best in a home without young kids.

Story
We found Brutus in a trailer park after he was abandoned by his original owner. He's a young dog, but he hates being left alone and he has some behavioral issues. (gets excited and will jump on you without any warning which can be a little scary to some people) He loves chewing things. He's a great walking dog, always on high alert. He's a sweet boy, but a little slow. All he needs is someone who has enough time on their hands to train him. His groin area may need surgery that we cannot afford. He has a permanent "lipstick" and he pees in a different direction. He cannot sit properly and will lay on his butt rather than a normal sit pose like a regular dog. He cannot tolerate any wet food. Ultimately, we are already breaking the bank with our elderly dog Oakley that is nearing the end stages of her life and we would like to focus on her health during this difficult time as we are also moving in a week.

Story
We adopted Corvin from the ARC. He does not get along with our cats. Bc it's been just over 30 days they will not take him back and were told we had to rehome him ourselves. He is dog friendly. Great with kids! (We have a 17 14 and 5 yr old) we have a care plan on him through Banfield at Petsmart that I believe can be transferred into your name. He's a super sweet boy but just isn't a good fit for our home. He is microchipped UTD on shots and crate trained. Knows basic commands like sit shake and plays fetch..Any other questions please ask.

Story
This sweet boy was found at Trotwood Madison High School. He is not microchipped. He plays well with other dogs and seems okay with cats too. He crates well at night but he hates it during the day. Some of our cats were walking by him and he didn’t even get up, just watched them curiously. He has not seen any of them when he’s been out running in the backyard though. We don’t have any children but we haven’t seen any aggression out of him at all. He is young, probably less than a year. He wants to play all the time. He currently fits well in a large (42”) crate, but will probably grow into an XL when he is full grown. He knows basic commands and he easily follows directions. His tail looks broken but it appears to be an old injury and it doesn’t seem to bother him. Ideally, he would be paired with a female dog so he has a constant playmate. He doesn’t like to be alone. Kids would probably be good too. He’s a really really good dog! We just simply don’t have the space.

My teenage kids picked this lovable boy up when he ran across the road. He climbed right in the car very sweet boy. Is fixed sicsa could not locate his owner appears as though he was feed well but not an inside dog. Whoever had him did not care for him like a dog needs. He's been dewormed and washed thoroughly as he was covered in fleas. Hes missing some hair we have been putting moisturizer on to help regrow his hair. Super chill boy mostly gets along with our pit she loves the bigger dog to play with. He loves to chill and snuggles with my teen. He needs a good home where he wont be left outside.

Story
Mitzy is a wonderful companion dog. She is somewhere near 9 years old. We're not quite sure as she was adopted as an adult dog. Although she has abandonment anxiety, she is housebroken. We understand that she doesn't play well with other animals. She has a loving personality and is protective of her person and her status. She prefers a calm and quiet home. She is up to date with all of her 1yr. vaccinations. She has no aggressive issues with the vet or staff. (She just isn't comfortable with other dogs/pets) She has had a lot of anxiety recently. The death of my husband affected her greatly as he was with her most of the day, every day, for the 4 months before he passed away suddenly. Unfortunately, we have to sell our home. At 56 lbs. Mitzy is just large enough to be unwelcome at most of the places we have access to move to. Unfortunately we don't have any other options. I would prefer her to live with a single person, a couple, or a family with older children.

These pups are in Centerville, Ohio too!

Story
Hi, my name is Buddy Guy! My foster mom says I am ALL puppy! I love to play forever and EVER. I am curious about everything but I learn quickly but from what mom says I like to test her and make sure she remembers what she just taught me. I am a very happy go lucky boy that just needs an energetic home. Dogs are OK as long as they can play on my level, in other word Buddy needs a Buddy lol. Cats are OK, I just like to playfully chase them so they can get some exercise. I see they lay around a lot. Weird! One of my favorite things to do is when my foster mom or dad plays with me outside with the flirt pole. I could do it for hours, if they would just stand out there that long! I would do better with older children because I don't want to knock them down and I'm still learning to not use my mouth on everything. I do love chew toys, balls and anything you can put peanut butter in. I really wasn't shown proper "puppy" manners so I need a family that has patience and understanding as I am still learning.
