Story
Meet Irene  A few months ago, we welcomed sweet Irene from ACCT Philly. She arrived with a severe skin infection and needed time, care, and patience to heal. Thanks to consistent treatment and lots of love, Irene is finally healthy and ready for a forever home of her own. Irene is a petite, ~40-lb pit bull, about 1 year old, with the softest velvet coat and the biggest heart. She’s the kind of girl who believes personal space is optional—sit on the couch and she’ll happily scoot in to spoon. Affection is her love language, and she would thrive in a home where her people are around often.  Good with other dogs – she’s done wonderfully with the large male dog in her foster home  Fully vetted – spayed, up to date on yearly vaccines, microchipped, and on preventatives  Extra TLC – she receives an omega supplement with her meals to support her skin after her intake infection If you’re looking for a loyal, cuddly companion who will happily be your velvet little hippo, Irene may be your perfect match.  Interested in adopting Irene? Story
Meet Sky – Our Sweet Explorer!  Currently with Above The Standard Dog Training in Florida Sometimes, there are dogs we adore but just can't quite figure out — and that's when it's time to turn to the pros. Sky is one of those pups. A few weeks ago, we sent this beautiful 2-year-old girl to training to get a professional evaluation and a deeper understanding of what she needs to thrive. And it’s paying off in a big way! Not only is Sky having an absolute blast in training, but she’s also gaining some much-needed weight and starting to really come into her own. With her sleek black coat, curious spirit, and growing confidence, she’s blossoming into the dog we always knew she could be. &#226&#156&#133 Dog Friendly? Absolutely! Sky loves other dogs. She’s been great with males, females, older and younger pups alike. She enjoys playing and exploring with her doggy friends, and we think she’d really benefit from a confident canine companion in her future home.  Kids? We’re updating her bio here — we now think older, calmer kids would be a better match. Sky can be a little nervous meeting new people, and a quiet home without too much hustle and bustle will help her continue to grow.  Public outings & the car? She’s calm, well-behaved, and fairly neutral. Her obedience training is coming along beautifully — she’s food-motivated and loves to learn.  Energy Level: Medium. She enjoys the outdoors, loves to run and explore, and we think she’ll be a lake-loving girl once she gets the chance!  Crate Training & Potty Habits: Sky has had a few crate accidents, but nothing consistent. She sometimes holds her potty for long stretches (even after a good walk), so she's a bit quirky there, but she’s capable of holding it just fine.  Separation Anxiety: Sky would do best in a home where someone isn’t gone for long stretches (8–10 hours a day). She’s attached to her people and finds comfort in being near them. She’s sweet, sensitive, goofy, and full of potential — and she’s ready to find her person. Could that be you? Story
Fray is a 4 year old pit bull terrier mixed. She was born in our rescue and was recently surrendered after being found as a stray. She was pretty nervous coming back and has been gaining some much needed confidence. She has done really well with the older resident dog that is her size and she did live in her previous home with another dog as well. She gets pretty excited when meeting new dogs so slow introductions are the key to success for her. Inside she is content hanging out in her crate or looking out the window checking out what is happening. She is very people friendly and loves children. She has made great strides with some basic training since she has come back to us. She is a chaser and will chase after rabbits, squirrels and even the occasional frog. She loves to give and get affection but doesn't need to be like velcro. She is a light eater, takes treats gently. She is very athletic! She is learning to catch a frisbee too! She loves to play but can be rough so if there is another playful dog they should be OK with wrestling. Fray is eager to learn and motivated with treats. This wonderful would love an active family.  You must be over 21 and live within 2 hours of the Lehigh Valley, PA area within NJ or PA. Visit our website to submit an application to adopt. www.outcastrescue.com   July 17, 2025, 4:39 pm

Story
Meet Bimbi – Your Loyal, Lovable Companion in the Making   Bimbi is a stunning, 3-year-old spayed beauty weighing in at around 40 pounds. With her regal looks and soulful eyes, she turns heads wherever she goes—but it’s her heart that really makes her shine.   Bimbi has known what it means to be let down, having spent much of her life confined to a crate. Despite this, she got along well with the small dogs in her previous home and remained the friendly, affectionate girl she was born to be. Sadly, when her family fell on hard times, Bimbi was surrendered, and now she’s waiting for her true forever home.   She absolutely loves meeting new people and soaks up attention like sunshine. She adores hugs, belly rubs, kisses, and gentle brushing with a soft brush—she’ll even close her eyes in bliss. Her favorite spot? Anywhere you are.   While Bimbi might not know a ton of commands just yet, she’s eager to learn and food-motivated (she mastered “sit” in record time with a few treats!). She enjoys playing with toys and balls—fetch is a favorite, even if she doesn’t always return the ball right away. Treat-based games are another great way to bond with her and keep her busy.   She’s a big fan of cozy dog beds and fluffy blankets, though when bored, she may chew on them a bit—so she’ll thrive with love, structure, and plenty of companionship. Her happiest moments? Going for car rides with her people. It’s been a while since she’s gotten to feel the wind in her fur, and she misses it deeply.  Bimbi is ready to trade her kennel days for couch cuddles, backyard exploring, movie nights, and being your loyal shadow. She doesn’t think cats make good roommates, so a cat-free home is a must.   If you’re looking for a dog who will love you with her whole heart, who’s ready to learn, ready to play, and even more ready to belong—Bimbi is your girl. Come meet her. She’s been waiting for you.   Email us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com    PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comApril 26, 2025, 11:59 pm

Story
Hunter is a gentle 60-pound Pitbull mix with a heart of gold. This strong boy, about a year old, was found running loose on the back roads of Tennessee, but despite his tough start, he's in great shape with a silky black coat. While no one has come forward to claim him, Hunter is patiently waiting for a loving family to call his own! Hunter enjoys his daily walks and is working on not pulling on the leash. ‍&#226&#153&#130&#239&#184&#143 He’s curious, playful, and loves other dogs! He’s been sharing a pen with a Boxer, though we feed him separately to avoid any food aggression. Hunter does the cutest little dance when it’s time for his meals or walks—it’s sure to put a smile on your face! While he hasn’t been tested with cats or kids yet, Hunter did have a run-in with a neighbor’s chicken , so he might be best suited to a home without small livestock. Critter Cavalry Rescue is a Middle Tennessee-based 501(c)(3) that travels to the Northeast states weekly, helping high-risk homeless animals like Hunter find their forever homes. For more info on our mission, adoption fees, and drop-off points, visit us at CritterCavalry.com! &#226&#156&#168 Are you ready to give this playful boy a chance at a new beginning? &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 Email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com to request an adoption application.  PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.April 30, 2025, 9:41 pm
