Story
Meet Zeus – Waiting for His Second Chance Zeus is a 1 ½ to 2-year-old Bully mix who has already been through so much in his short life. He and his sister, Foxy, lost their home when their family could no longer care for them. They entered the local shelter last November and Zeus spent months waiting behind kennel bars before coming into Lucky Paws Doghouse on June 11th. Despite everything, Zeus is still the sweetest boy. -Gets along with other dogs -Walks nicely on a leash -Loves yard time and running around to play -Friendly, affectionate, and gentle -He and his sister were kenneled together at one point and got into it over food. This could have occurred just from being in a high-stress environment. So, we would recommend feeding him separately from another dog in home just in case. We haven't seen this issue with any other dogs since! Sadly, Zeus has also tested heartworm positive — but this isn’t the end of his story. He is currently on slow-kill treatment. Zeus deserves to know what it feels like to be safe, loved, and home. He’s been waiting long enough — could you be the one to finally give him that chance? -Video of Zeus: https://youtube.com/shorts/zFL8zCJZOUM Zeus is neutered, vaccinated (DHLPP 9-in-1, Rabies, Bordetella), wormed, on monthly flea/tick prevention. Health certificate and exam will be performed less than 10 days prior to transport. Adoption fee is $700, this is including all vetting above and transport cost. Story
Hey there… I’m Turbo.   I’m a 3-year-old, 47-pound Pitbull mix with a handsome black-and-white coat and a smile that seems to win people over pretty quickly. I ended up in the shelter because my dad felt I was spending too much time alone in my crate, and he wanted something better for me—a home where I’d get more love, time, and attention. I’m hoping that person might be you.   I used to be housebroken and crate trained, and while shelter life has changed my routine a bit, I’m a smart guy and should pick things back up in no time with a little consistency.   What really matters most about me? I love people. I’m friendly, affectionate, and I get along great with other dogs and kids. I’m the kind of dog who just wants to be part of the family—whether that’s playtime in the yard or relaxing by your side.   Summer is right around the corner, and I can’t help but dream about spending it with my very own forever family. Maybe that could be with you?   Let’s meet—I’d love to show you what a great companion I am.Please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJuly 16, 2026, 12:26 pm

Story
This sweet girl is one of many dogs who's fate it was to be abandoned here in the south. People are throwing sweet dogs out day and night in this economy. Ducky is one of the lucky ones that was picked up by a kind stranger and brought to a rescue that was able to find a foster! She is Spayed and UTD on required vaccines. Ducky likes other dogs but is rambunctious. She loves everyone she meets so older children would be fine. She is close to housetrained and will just need to get comfortable with her new routine. If you would like to add this sweet and very pretty girl to your forever family, please email omlc7@hotmail.com and we will send our info and app. If you do not see a response, be sure and check you junk folder.

Meet Roxy Jo She was on her way to a kill shelter—babies in tow—when a last-minute plea changed everything. Now this mama-turned-main-character is looking for her forever home. Roxy Jo may not be the lab she was promised to be (we were bamboozled, y’all), but what she lacks in pedigree, she makes up for in pure, certified, Alabama-born grit and heart. She’s great with other dogs, fine with humans of all types, but when it comes to cats? Hard no. Ma’am said what she said. Quick Stats: Fully vetted & spayed Dog-friendly Cat-declined Short, stocky, and absolutely huggable Tail wags like a fan in church If you’ve got room in your life for a thick-thighed queen with a heart of gold and eyes that say, “I’ve seen some things,” then come meet Roxy Jo. Story
AGNOLIA “NOLIE” Pocket Bully • Mama Warrior • Family-Safe Sweetheart Some dogs walk into rescue quietly. Magnolia — lovingly called Nolie — walked in carrying an entire legacy of strength. This beautiful pocket bully mama was pulled from a kill shelter with her adorable blue babies when their time ran out. The shelter staff begged for her to be saved — not because she was just another dog, but because she was special. They adored her. And now we understand why. A Mama With a Heart of Gold Nolie is gentle, steady, and soft in all the ways that matter. She protected her babies in the hardest place a mother can be — a shelter where hope runs thin. The moment she landed with us, her shoulders relaxed. She knew she was finally safe. Dog-Friendly Nolie loves other dogs and gets along beautifully with calm, friendly pups. She matches energy, respects boundaries, and is happy to share space. Cat-Friendly… Nope Let’s be honest: She doesn't cats. She is not signing up to join a cat book club. Perfectly manageable, just keep the cat away (maybe at the neighbors house). Personality Sweet, soulful, and gentle Loves affection and leans in for pets Calm, easygoing, and very well-mannered Loyal and deeply connected to “her people” Ideal Home Nolie would thrive in a home that wants a smaller bully with: A heart as big as her blocky little head Wonderful manners A peaceful, loving presence The desire to be someone's companion, shadow, and daily comfort Magnolia “Nolie” isn’t just adoptable — she’s unforgettable. She survived. She loved her babies fiercely. And now she deserves the softest, safest life possible. If you want a dog who will be loyal, gentle, and devoted, Nolie is your girl. Adoption Fee: 250 Apply here: https://forms.gle/emAhij7FiTcZuvHA6 Currently in AL, but can be transported to New England states for $200.00. Story
Ruthie is a 2-year-old, 60-lb Boxer mix with a gentle soul and a brilliant mind. Before coming into rescue, Ruthie lived on her own for at least 6 months, skillfully evading capture, multiple trapping attempts, and surviving in an industrial area of town. Fed by kind mechanics and workers, she learned how to stay safe, avoid danger, and always show up for food — and that intelligence still shines through today. After a dramatic capture, Ruthie has been in a foster home, where she’s proven to be a very polite houseguest. She is fully house-trained and, even at her scariest moments, has never shown a hint of aggression — no growling, no raised lips, just fear. Ruthie is shy and deeply cautious with people, but she is sweet, gentle, and incredibly observant. We would not be surprised if Ruthie spent some of her life in someone’s home.  This brainy girl reads the room like a pro. She knows when a human might approach and will quietly skedaddle to keep herself feeling safe. While she’s still very nervous about leashes and handling, she allows most people to gently scratch her muzzle, and she’s learning — slowly but surely — that human touch isn’t such a bad thing. Watching her progress has been incredibly rewarding, especially as she’s started to enjoy ear scratches and soft affection from her foster mom. Ruthie is a great pack dog. She does beautifully with dogs of all sizes and temperaments and enjoys playful wrestling with dogs her size, but doesn’t demand play.  She happily coexists with the resident Chihuahua in her foster home. Ruthie is calm and content indoors and also enjoys a daily visit to the dog park. She’s a quiet presence who’s perfectly happy lounging on a chair, listening to her foster mom’s Zoom calls, and soaking in the safety of home life. At home, Ruthie is her foster mom’s quiet shadow. She sleeps in her room, wiggles with excitement when she comes home, follows her around the dog park — and yet may still hop off her bed and slip away if that same foster mom walks toward her for a pet. With Ruthie, trust is built in tiny, meaningful moments, and every day brings progress. Because of her history, Ruthie is a high flight-risk dog, especially in the early days. She will need a very committed adopter with a securely fenced yard, experience with fearful or flight-risk dogs, and a willingness to use safety tools like GPS collars, double leashes, and secure handling. Strength matters too — this is a 60-lb girl who needs someone confident and prepared. Ruthie has been around children at the dog park and treats them like little adults — with polite, reserved hesitation. She is food-motivated, sweet, and incredibly smart. With patience, structure, and time, she has all the makings of a truly special companion. Ruthie is one of those dogs who, with the right adopter and a few committed months of trust-building, will become a dream dog. Watching her finally relax, feel safe, and just be a dog has been an absolute privilege — and we can’t wait to see her find the forever home she deserves. ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.July 16, 2026, 12:26 pm
