Story
I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, and not good with cats or other dogs Tink's Story... This beautiful little lady is Tink! Tink is 8 years old and the life of the party type dog and is always up for an activity! Tink loves to go for walks, car rides, and even knows how to run on the tread mill during inclement weather! She has excelled in all of her training and knows many commands like sit, down, place, come, and heel - her adopters will even receive free continued training to ensure her adoption is a success! That's how much we all love this girl  :)  She is fully housebroken and crate trained. Tink loves toys, giving kisses, and snuggling with her people at the end of the day!  Please contact us at outcastrescue@gmail.com for more information May 29, 2023, 9:19 am

Story
Meet Brooks! This little guy is just that -LITTLE! Estimated to be about 1 year old and only around 30lbs. He was a stray found in the city and is a little shy.  We are suggesting a home without young children given the circumstances they came from and their shy nature. Brooks is good with other dogs but does need to be fed separately since street life made it that he doesnt want to share his food. He is crate trained and house broken. You must be over 21 to apply and live within 2 hours of the Lehigh Valley, PA area within NJ or PA (NO EXCEPTIONS!) Visit our website to apply www.outcastrescue.comMay 29, 2023, 9:19 am

Story
Meet Bridget! She is just under a year old and is a really great little girl. She is only about 40 lbs. She came to us with a horrific skin infection and after much testing and trial, we have discovered she needs to be on a prescription hydrolyzed protein food, receive cytopoint injections every 8 weeks and get weekly medicated baths. All of this will keep her skin healthy. Bridget also has an old fracture of her front legs which caused her growth plates to prematurely close so she does have one shorter leg in the front. She is not painful. She has energy and also a lazy side. She is good with dogs, kids should be over 10 as she is still working on her manners. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. Story
Meet June! This former momma was found in an abandoned lot with several other dogs so no doubt when we got her she was heavily pregnant. Now that she is done with her pups she is searching for her forever home. We would guess she is somewhere between 2-4 years old and absolutely stunning. She is a larger girl, around 60-65lbs. Her ideal home would be with a larger  male dog. She doesnt seem to mind the cats. She is crate trained, house broken and up to date on vaccines. She will be spayed and is already microchipped. Story
Meet Amos! Adopting a senior can be rewarding. Giving a boy the chance to live out his golden years in a forever home being loved by his family. Amos was a stray in Philly and almost lost his life as he kept being overlooked in the shelter. He is overall a very good boy. Medically he is a typical older boy with some arthritic issues so he is kept on gabapentin and joint supplements. His only quirk is his need to be an only dog. He is estimated to be around 10 years old. He is set in his ways in regards to this so a home with no other animals is a must for him. He will happily hang out with you all day or snooze in his bed. He is a large man, around 75 lbs.  You must be over 21 to apply and Live within 2 hours of the Lehigh Valley, PA area within NJ or PA (NOEXCEPTIONS!) Story
Look at this beauty! Lil One was brought into PK because her original owner no longer wanted to care for her. She is a 1-year-old pit bull mix who weighs 48 lbs. Lil One is incredibly sweet! Like any young dog, she likes to play (especially with stuffed animals) and needs exercise, but she’s also very calm and would make a great snuggle buddy. While we don’t know her experience with other dogs, she doesn’t seem reactive around the other dogs at PK and would be open to meeting other dogs if you have any in your home. She spent some time around a newborn and purportedly did well. We can test her around cats if requested. We think Lil One would make a really nice family dog and invite you to apply for her at lvpeaceablekingdom.info.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.   SLINKY-Girl was transferred to GaDaH from a high kill shelter in Texas on 22nd April 2023. We take a lot of pictures and videos and don't always have the time to post them on the dogs individual webpage and adoption site, so we ask that you go to the rescue  YouTube channel  and  photo albums on our Facebook page  to see a LOT of pictures and videos.      SLINKY-Girl is spayed rabies, core vaccines, heartworm/tick tested negative. She is on monthly prevention, microchipped, has an estimated date of birth of 8 January 2023 and at the time of transport weighed 18.4 pounds. We have no way of knowing what the actual breed is, so it is up to people to look at the pictures and video's to make up their own mind. SLINKY-Girl is available for adoption from Give a Dog a Home Rescue in Sebec, Maine for an adoption fee of $550.       This adoption fee covers the cost of running a brick and mortar rescue as well as any transport, veterinary, food,   treats, toys costs and the many expenses that rescues endure to keep the pets in their care safe, and happy.     Be sure to read all the information and if interested, go to the rescue website to submit an adoption application. https://www.giveadogahome-rescue.org/forms/form?formid=5838 The rescue buys food in bulk, by the truck load and there are a variety of brands and flavors. None of the food given is less than a 4* food rating. There have not been issues with eating any of the varying foods. It is important that you do your research on the ingredients and speak to your vet or a nutritionist on grain vs grain free! &#226&#128&#139You MUST understand that dogs need time to decompress and adapt to their new environment and home. It is a HUGE transition they make from the kill shelter, being vetted, on transport for 3 days and arriving in Maine where the temperature and such is very different to what they have only known. In rescue there is what is known as the "3 Point Rule" Days 1-3 your dog is stressed, anxious, confused as to where they are now. Weeks 1-3 your dog is adjusting, settling in, learning things. At the 3-month point, your dog understands they are home, and have built up a trusting relationship where they feel loved and secure. If you feel that you have the heart and home to give this precious soul a wonderful life, please go to our website, under the ADOPTION INFO tab, complete, then submit the APPLICATION. Our process takes around 1-2 days, and ensuring your references are aware that we will be calling, could speed up the process. Once you have been approved, we discuss any questions in regards to the dog you are wanting to adopt, then we can schedule your appointment to come to the rescue in Sebec, Maine for meet/greet/adopt Please do NOT submit an application if you are not looking to take home a new best friend within the next few weeks. https://www.giveadogahome-rescue.org/forms/form?formid=5838 ALL Dogs are LOCATED AT THE RESCUE IN SEBEC, MAINE. We post in various states along the east coast and Canada where we have had lots of successful adoptions to enable more exposure for these beautiful saved souls. Families will need to be prepared to travel to the rescue to meet and take home their new best friend. Sebec is located just outside the towns of Dover-Foxcroft and Milo (approx. 8 miles) and approx. 45 miles from Bangor. There are also lots of hotels, motels, pet friendly accommodations and wonderful camp-sites for the more adventurous families and what a great way to get to know your new best friend. Story
My sisters and I are ready for a new adventure with wonderful families! We are 4 month old Bully breed and Chihuahua mixes. Sounds weird, doesn't it!? We are small in size and probably won't get over 30 lbs fully grown. We are in a foster home that has other dogs and a cat. We are very socialized and well behaved. Each one of us has our own fun personalities and our foster mom will tell you all about us when you show interest. We have been trained in an Xpen, but have a lot of freedom with our foster families pack. We all love to snuggle and be a part of everything going on. Which one of usdo you choose? Right now, she is being fostered in Tennessee. The rescue lists in areas where transport is available. They use safe USDA licensed dog transports that will bring her to their new family, once they are adopted! Once you send an application, the rescue will contact you for an interview and be able to send more photos and even videos She is spayed and UTD on all required vaccinations.
