Story
Sammey was surrendered to the shelter when his owner could no longer care for him. He is 9 years old and weighs in at 66 pounds. Sammey has spent a majority of his life outside, although he has adjusted well to indoor living. He would love to have a home where he can have a nice soft bed to sleep in! Sammey did show symptoms of and was treated for Lyme disease. He did have a low-grade soft tissue sarcoma removed when he was neutered. It was on his testicle and was fully removed during his surgery. This type of mass has a low occurrence of metastasizing. Sammey is a very lovable guy! He enjoys going for walks and getting all the love he can get! He did live with another dog and did well with them. Sammey cannot go to a home with cats as he does not like them. Sammey would love to find his loving forever home for his golden years! He has been neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, Heartworm/Lyme tested, and microchipped since his arrival at the shelter. Story
This beautiful girl is ready to be the STAR of your life!⭐️ Star is an approximately 5 year old female pittie girl. She is petite in frame and just a sweet, gentle love. She has been THRIVING in her foster home and now she is ready to find a family of her own!😍 This sweet girl loves belly rubs and laying around the house or outside in the sun. She is a BIG fan of stuffed animals and can be found carrying them around the house! Her foster mama has been teaching her how to decipher between kid toys and dog toys but sometimes it’s hard to tell the difference🤪 When asked about Star’s personality, her foster mom says “you will absolutely fall in love with this girl. She is sweet and just wants to be close to you! She is low energy and crate trained, and all she wants in life is a warm bed to lay her head on, and infinite belly rubs.”💕 Star is great with other dogs after proper introductions and has a dominant play style, so she does best with patient playmates who aren’t easily offended😉 She would do well in a home with or without another pup, and would LOVE to have kids in her forever home - she thinks they’re pretty awesome. Star would make the perfect companion for just about anyone willing to give her a chance.🐾 If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at http://www.dixiegirldogrescue.org/adopt-form PLEASE MAKE NOTE- OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN ALABAMA (UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED), OUR DOGS TRANSPORT TO THEIR NEW FAMILIES IN PENNSYLVANIA AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN ADOPTED. 🐾Juno🥰 Female, adult pittie mix that was "country before country was cool" 🤠 Unfortunately, Juno lost her human a year ago & she’s been trying to figure out what life has for her next🖤 Her foster mom has taught her to walk calmly on leash, sit, she's still working on " leave it"... and although she a medium to large girl, she thinks she is a lap dog! 💕 Smart, energetic, (will play tug of war with rope forever) & LOVES to fetch the ball!! 🎾 Beautiful, sensitive girl looking for her forever family 🏡 If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at http://www.dixiegirldogrescue.org/adopt-form PLEASE MAKE NOTE- OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN ALABAMA (UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED), OUR DOGS TRANSPORT TO THEIR NEW FAMILIES IN PENNSYLVANIA AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN ADOPTED. 🐾PEARL🎀 A lot of dog in a beautiful little package 😍 A “wiggle butt,” her backend never stops wiggling with joy and excitement!💥 ISO a family who will give her a lot of attention and LOVE🥰 She has a snort that kind of sounds like a laugh, and is obsessed with kissing!😘 She will wrestle her foster mom’s son to the floor and will lick his face for an hour if he were to let her. 🤪 She does like to chew things so stuffed animals and shoes need to be kept out of reach if they aren’t “hers”🧸 She is working on leash training and potty training and learning quickly! 💯 She LOVES to eat, especially treats, which will make her so fun to train! 🍪 She loves kids and adult humans once she gets to know them, and loves other dogs with proper introduction! 🐕 In her forever home, she needs a yard to run because she is always full of energy! One of her favorite things to do is to go in the driveway and roll over on her back and roll around. 🐾 If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at http://www.dixiegirldogrescue.org/adopt-form PLEASE MAKE NOTE- OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN ALABAMA (UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED), OUR DOGS TRANSPORT TO THEIR NEW FAMILIES IN PENNSYLVANIA AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN ADOPTED. Story
This is Ruby!  She was found on the streets of Memphis and a couple days later she had 15 puppies in our rescue. She took great care of her puppies and they are all adopted now. Ruby is a gentle soul. She looks at you with eyes that show appreciation for her life. Her tail is always slowly wagging and she has a happy bark that bounces her whole body. Ruby loves hugs and pets from her humans. She is very sweet and calm most times - but does like to chew on bones and has energy to do short zoomies in the yard. She loves to go for slow walks especially if she gets to sniff along the way. It is entertaining to watch her look for bugs in the grass. She is always jumping back in surprise at  any movement.  She will throw herself down on the grass  and rub her back conv e nien tly exposing her belly for a rub . Ruby likes to be hosed down when it is hot out. Ruby is very smart and is responsive to commands and training. Ruby currently spends her days in an outdoor run and her nights in her crate inside. She is housed next to another female dog who she gets along great with. She likes other dogs but doesn't put up with any silly play.    She is best as an only dog or with an owner with breed specific experience. She is about 6  years old, and weighs 70   lbs.   Ruby has been spayed, is current on her vaccinations and microchipped.  Her adoption fee is $550  and includes her transportation to her new home in PA.  SHE IS IN A LOVING FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO HER NEW HOME ONCE ADOPTED!  New Beginnings Animal Rescue uses  a licensed and registered USDA transport company.    If you would like to apply to adopt Ruby, please fill out our online application here:  http://www.newbeginningsanimalrescue.net.  Any questions, please email us at:  newbeginnigs_animalrescue@yahoo.com.   THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING ADOPTING A RESCUED PET!
