Sammey was surrendered to the shelter when his owner could no longer care for him. He is 9 years old and weighs in at 66 pounds. Sammey has spent a majority of his life outside, although he has adjusted well to indoor living. He would love to have a home where he can have a nice soft bed to sleep in! Sammey did show symptoms of and was treated for Lyme disease. He did have a low-grade soft tissue sarcoma removed when he was neutered. It was on his testicle and was fully removed during his surgery. This type of mass has a low occurrence of metastasizing. Sammey is a very lovable guy! He enjoys going for walks and getting all the love he can get! He did live with another dog and did well with them. Sammey cannot go to a home with cats as he does not like them. Sammey would love to find his loving forever home for his golden years! He has been neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, Heartworm/Lyme tested, and microchipped since his arrival at the shelter. This beautiful girl is ready to be the STAR of your life!⭐️ Star is an approximately 5 year old female pittie girl. She is petite in frame and just a sweet, gentle love. She has been THRIVING in her foster home and now she is ready to find a family of her own!😍 This sweet girl loves belly rubs and laying around the house or outside in the sun. She is a BIG fan of stuffed animals and can be found carrying them around the house! Her foster mama has been teaching her how to decipher between kid toys and dog toys but sometimes it’s hard to tell the difference🤪 When asked about Star’s personality, her foster mom says “you will absolutely fall in love with this girl. She is sweet and just wants to be close to you! She is low energy and crate trained, and all she wants in life is a warm bed to lay her head on, and infinite belly rubs.”💕 Star is great with other dogs after proper introductions and has a dominant play style, so she does best with patient playmates who aren’t easily offended😉 She would do well in a home with or without another pup, and would LOVE to have kids in her forever home - she thinks they’re pretty awesome. This is Ruby! She was found on the streets of Memphis and a couple days later she had 15 puppies in our rescue. She took great care of her puppies and they are all adopted now. Ruby is a gentle soul. She looks at you with eyes that show appreciation for her life. Her tail is always slowly wagging and she has a happy bark that bounces her whole body. Ruby loves hugs and pets from her humans. She is very sweet and calm most times - but does like to chew on bones and has energy to do short zoomies in the yard. She loves to go for slow walks especially if she gets to sniff along the way. It is entertaining to watch her look for bugs in the grass. She is always jumping back in surprise at any movement. She will throw herself down on the grass and rub her back conv e nien tly exposing her belly for a rub . Ruby likes to be hosed down when it is hot out. Ruby is very smart and is responsive to commands and training. Ruby currently spends her days in an outdoor run and her nights in her crate inside. She is housed next to another female dog who she gets along great with. She likes other dogs but doesn't put up with any silly play. She is best as an only dog or with an owner with breed specific experience. She is about 6 years old, and weighs 70 lbs. Ruby has been spayed, is current on her vaccinations and microchipped.
