Story
Winnie was surrendered to the shelter when her owner could no longer care for her. She is 7 years old and is a very sweet girl! She has lived with kids, cats, and other dogs and did well with them in the home, although she would prefer to live with older children. She loves getting attention and loves to get treats! Winnie knows sit, down, and walks well on a leash. She does seem to have some sensitive skin but a change in her food and a good, medicated bath has helped her immensely! Winnie would love to have a second chance at a loving forever home soon! She has been spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, Heartworm/lyme tested, and microchipped since her arrival at the shelter. Story
Craig is a handsome guy with the bluest eyes you will ever see! He loves to go on walks and loves to play in the play yard! He can be a little headstrong but will work for cookies! He is a big guy that does not understand how big he really is so he may be too much for small children, so a home with older kids or kids that are used to big boisterous dogs would be best for him. He did show interest in the tester cats so supervision with cats in the home is recommended until all are settled into routine. He would love to find his loving forever home soon! He has been neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, Heartworm/lyme tested (negative), and microchipped since his arrival at the shelter.5051 Letterkenny Road WestChambersburg, PA 17201Kennel License #2090

Story
Jangers is a 6 1/2 year old American pit bull terrier. We had him since he was a puppy. He has been a great addition to our family for the past 6 years. We have 2 young children and he does so good with them. We are sad to see him go but with us moving it needs to happen. He does well with dogs that he knows. We will talk more on that with serious applicants. Jangers is an extremely loyal, faithful, playful pup who loves cuddles, butt rubs, and tug-o-war!

Story
Meet Fridge – Your Lovable, Roadside Rescued Best Friend! Fridge isn’t just a name—it’s a whole vibe. This sweet, gentle Pitbull mix was found on the side of the road and has since been on a weight loss journey, proving that second chances (and fewer snacks) can lead to something amazing. Fridge is the neighborhood favorite, winning over kids and adults alike with his calm, friendly demeanor. He’s the perfect mix of laid-back and social, always happy to greet new friends with a wagging tail. In his foster home, he’s been a dream companion, living peacefully with two other dogs and a child. He’s neutral around other dogs, making him an easy addition to a home with existing pets. While Fridge loves a good nap and cuddle session, he’s also discovering his adventurous side! He’s developed a real love for walks and enjoys exploring the outdoors. His foster family says he’s getting more playful every day, even starting to show interest in toys—a big step for this previously overlooked pup. When he’s not out stretching his legs or testing out his growing toy collection, Fridge is a true cuddle bug, always ready for some cozy downtime with his humans. He’s looking for a forever home where he can continue his journey—with love, companionship, and plenty of time for walks and play. Could Fridge be the missing piece in your life? Story
GUNNER IN HIS FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN, AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO PA ONCE ADOPTED!   Meet Gunner!  Gunner is about 2 years old and weighs 75 pounds. He “identifies” as a 5lb lapdog and his foster mom’s weighted blanket. Gunner thrives on human attention and will happily sit in your lap – even if he’s a bit bigger than your average lap dog. He is kennel trained and house trained. Gunner enjoys tugging on his rope toys! I love kids so much that I may knock little ones down, he gets excited! Gunner loves children, but because of his size, older children would be better. Gunner likes to run through the backyard like Forest Gump. He is truly a dog that doesn’t meet a stranger. Gunner’s loving personality and irresistible charm will bring happiness to those lucky enough to have him in their lives. Gunner is sure to become a beloved member of a family for years to come. He is fully vetted. Vetting includes spay/neuter, microchip, rabies and all puppy vaccinations. His adoption fee of $600 includes the transport to PA. We use a licensed and registered USDA transport company that will bring Gunner up north to his new family.   If you have any questions, please email us at:  newbeginnings_animalrescue@yahoo.com   You can apply to adopt Gunner here:  www.newbeginningsanimalrescue.net   THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING ADOPTING A RESCUED PET! Story
Meet Isabella or Izzie, a quirky little  36 pound bundle of joy. Izzie was found wandering around alone, she was emaciated and very weak. Dixie Girl and her incredible foster mom were able to step in and save her life. Izzie does well with children and other dogs, but prefers to stay close to her foster. 🎈 She is crate trained , but will require a heavy duty crate to keep her safe. She prefers to sleep in a cozy dog bed or snuggle with her foster. She is progressing with house training as long as she is kept on a schedule. Izzie is crazy about balls and will run after and retrieve them when outside. 🎾Otherwise, she prefers to be an inside house dog. She would thrive in a home where the human(s) are home most of the time! If sweet Izzie sounds like the perfect match for you , please submit an adoption application. She can't wait to meet her new family. 🎉
