Story
Big Heart, Big Love: Star is Waiting for You! ❤️ Since joining us at 10 weeks old, she has brought joy and love into our lives. She has always been gentle with our kids and enjoys playful moments and long tummy rubs. She gets along well with our cat and loves playing chase. Star has seasonal allergies, which require daily medication and regular care. She also sheds, but enjoys being brushed and pampered. One of her favorite activities is calmly meeting and visiting the neighbors on our walks; she loves making new friends and spreading her gentle charm. Balancing some unique family and home needs has become challenging, and we believe Star deserves a home where she can thrive. We are looking for a forever home that matches her loving nature, where she can receive the care she needs. Please reach out and help this loving giant find her forever family!

Story
My name is Bella...so don't wear it out. I'm an 8-month-old female Pit Bull Terrier mix, so that still makes me a babe in the woods. I am told I'm a sweet girl, and who am I to argue with the truth. I apparently weigh about 32 lbs., and I'm a girl in good shape. I'm a workout warrior and yeah..I have a lot of puppy energy, and I know you wouldn't want me any other way. I came from Texas and it was a high kill shelter. I have no idea what I did to get put on death row. I'm not a hardened criminal at all but a sweet and lovable pit bull mix. I'm okay with other dog. This could be tricky as those litterbox loiterers. Always seem like nothing but trouble. I can be tested but their nine lives could be in jeopardy. I'm good with kids, and since I have a lot of energy this could be exciting. I'm crate trained and I guess I had practice, since having been in a high kill shelter . Adults should find me appealing as I have a lot of love to give. I have all of my shots and they're up to date. Thanks for checking in on me at The Lucky Legacy Rescue

Story
My name is Loki and I'm a pit mix but I don't remember my parents since they didn't leave a forwarding address. I also look like a Shepherd...but not in the biblical sense. I'm 3 yrs. old and an energetic boy and full of life. Couch potatoes would have to step up their game with me. I would probably need a more experienced owner...not an on the job training rookie. People in the know tell me I can be stubborn and need boundaries...but I do walk on a leash, not well..as I'm a leash puller. Cut me some slack here since I'm a dog, I'm visual and my smelling senses are about a million times greater than yours. I also like playing tug of war with my leash. Now if you value your shoulder socket you might want to hit the gym first. It all comes down to me needing someone to show me the ropes (just not pulling them) and spending time with me to help me be the best dog I can be. I'm housebroken and crate trained and obviously a quick learner even though I don't know what my actual IQ is. I do get along with other dogs but just not in the kitchen. I don't share too well with others when it comes to food. I'm what they call food aggressive..so another dog in the house with me is probably a no go. Small kids would also be a problem. I wouldn't want my ears pulled and a cookie taken right from under my nose. I do good with older children and adults, plus I am a loving boy in addition. I would have to be cat tested first, and since they already claim to have nine lives, I might have to put that to the test. I'm a good boy who deserves a chance and hope to get it with you. Hey..I'm a dog and I need a certain amount of training but that would be with any dog.

Hey there, I'm Playa! I landed in this joint after I mistook the mailman's bag for a giant chew toy. He didn't find it as funny as I did. Oops! I'm a curious chap who loves to explore. Nina ( or Bean) is possibly the sweetest girl ever with such a personality! She will be 3 years old on August 5th! She has lots of energy and loves to play but she is also a couch potato. Loves to run around and play with toys. I’m currently working 3 jobs with little time to care and spend time with her. She would be the perfect dog for a family with kids!

Story
I rescued king four years ago and what drew me in was his big dopey head and eyes. I immediately took a liking to him when we played together for the first time. I adopted him that day and we've been as thick as thieves since between 4 years, 3 apartments, and 2 exs. I hate to let him go but I can't take him with me to the next apartment and none of my peers can take him in. Now for some personality. King is a BIG cuddler, he loves being next to you all day everyday. He will give you space if you order him. On the topic of training, king is trained on all basic commands like sit, stay, lay down, and shake and he is summoned by whistling. He's also gotten kind of lazy in his older age and really just likes laying down but is always down for a walk. My FAVORITE quirk about King is that he does not bark. He's a very quiet dog and though he does make a whine on occasion he doesn't bark. He's very cool around loud noises and vacuuming. I actually do vaccum him sometimes for sheddin

Story
Gypsy is located in TEXAS. There are not enough homes for all the unwanted dogs down there, so she is willing to relocate for a good, loving, forever home. Gypsy is a very good girl and is the most obedient dog I have ever seen. She knows how to sit and comes when called. She is housetrained and very well behaved in the house. She likes her crate and sleeps in it with the door open. She walks well on a leash and rides well in a vehicle. Gypsy loves her toys, especially squeaky ones, and she loves playing fetch. Gypsy is active - she loves to run and play with toys and other dogs. She loves water and lays in the wading pool when it is hot, and we bet she would love snow. She gets excited about squirrels, cats, and critters on the other side of the fence. Gypsy does well with all dogs but gets along best with male dogs. She is normally good around small dogs but occasionally mistakes one for a toy when she is over-excited. So she is not recommended for homes with small dogs. She is not too fond of puppies getting in her face either. Gypsy loves human attention and is good with children. She could perhaps use more obedience training with someone firm, patient, and loving. Gypsy is very sweet. She gets attached to her human and likes to lay under my desk when I work on the computer. Gypsy walks well on a leash and rides well in the car. She must be in the house as a loved family member, and she needs a yard with a 6' fence to run and play. Gypsy came from a bad home. She was not being fed and was severely underweight. So the people surrendered Gypsy and her puppies to animal control to avoid animal cruelty charges. Gypsys DNA test results are mostly Boxer, Husky, and German Shepherd. She bounces on her front legs when she is excited and we now know that comes from the Boxer in her. Gypsy is around 5 years of age and weighs 70 pounds (she only weighed 35 pounds when we got her). Gypsy is healthy. She is spayed, tattooed, fully vaccinated (DAPPvL2, Bordatella, rabies), and microchipped. Gypsy had a light case of heartworms when we first got her. We used the slow-kill method (we are happy to explain this) and she is now negative for heartworms and on monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Gypsy's adoption fee includes the cost of ground transport to Hagerstown or Linthicum Heights MD. She is located in Texas and cannot be transported until after she is adopted. Jack is in need of a loving and permanent home. As a middle-aged male, he may not have the same energy levels as younger dogs, but he makes up for it with his sweet and docile nature. He is content with a more relaxed and inactive lifestyle, making him an ideal companion for those who prefer a quieter pace. Jack's easy-going personality makes him a pleasure to be around, and he gets along well with other dogs. His gentle nature and friendly attitude make him the perfect addition to any family. Despite his age, Jack still has so much love to give and is patiently waiting for someone to open their heart and home to him. Story
They call me Exuberant, Handsome and Sweet but you can choose a new name for me when we adopt each other. I don’t care what you call me, as long as you call me. I’m a happy dog who loves people more than anything else in the world. I’m a 4 year old Pitbull Lab (?) mix, with a 22” collar and am very big and strong. The Vet said I weigh 73 pounds. Don’t let that scare you because I am just a mushy ball of love. I like to let everyone know how happy I am to see them by twirling around and wagging my tail as fast as it will go. This is usually when they call me Exuberant. I like to have fun. Because I’m such a good boy, I’m allowed in the house and have good potty manners. I prefer being inside with people at night especially. You can hold the TV remote for us. Since I have a lot of energy and need exercise, your large fenced yard will be well-used. My foster peeps say I need a family, not a job. They know that I’m a quick learner and will be someone’s best dog ever with some training. Because I’m big and young at heart, my new humans should have some experience with dogs and be able to work with someone of my stature. I promise I will try to do everything you ask enthusiastically. Fortunately, my past dog life doesn’t include any physical abuse so I’m not afraid of people or other animals. I don’t like loud booming noises (fireworks or dynamite) or gunfire so I wouldn’t be a good hunting dog. Health wise, I am terrific; up to date on shots and tested negative for heartworms. Recently I was tricked into getting “tutored” and woke up with my bubbles missing. Foster peeps say it means I will get my forever home very soon! Maybe it’s yours!
