Story
Hi, I'm Oreo! I'm an 4 year old American Pit Bull Terrier. I love cuddling up in a nice warm blanket. I can be a little destructive but I get stressed like humans can. But I love to hangout at home on the couch or play with family and friends outside. I love meeting new people, no one is a stranger to me. I am well managed, intelligent, and a sweet old lady! Oreo is spayed, porched trained, and fully vetted.

Story
Located in Memphis, Tennessee but we do adopt out of state for the right fit. From Bonnie's foster mom: Bonnie is one of the sweetest dogs I have ever fostered. Everyone that has met her has fallen in love with her. She is a cuddle bug and a velcro dog. All she wants to do is be with her human. She enjoys dog chews, toys, and treats but her favorite thing in the world is attention from her human. She loves men, women, and kids. She is always happy, gentle, and appropriately behaved with whomever she meets. She walks well on a leash and really enjoys walking in the park. Bonnie loves car rides. She gets in the car well on her own, but is a little afraid when jumping out, probably due to her vision impairment. She is calm in the car and always falls asleep. She has done great with other dogs she has met in my home and at the shelter. However, she needs a patient dog because due to the lack of vision in her right eye, she tends to bump into other dogs when walking or playing. She seems to really enjoy following my dog around the yard and just doing whatever he is doing. Bonnie is a medium energy dog. She is very playful with other dogs and is also very vocal in her play. She doesn't always pick up on social cues from other dogs, but she does take corrections well. All in all, Bonnie is a wonderful, intelligent, social dog. She has so much love to give and is so deserving of a forever family that will return that love. Story
Location is Tennessee Tater is a sweet, chonky, loveable 3-year-old bully mix. The Good: Tater LOVES training and taking long walks. He has a great recall and is really good at ignoring other dogs and people on walks! He is crate trained and potty trained and loves to snuggle with his people. Tater gets SOOOO excited his whole body will wiggle, and yes, it is the CUTEST! Tug is one of his favorite games, and he loves playing with Jolly Balls & in his pool in the summer. I know it sounds like Tater is PERFECTION (we think he is!) but there are some really important things to know... Tater's Situation: Tater spent the last few years of his life living in a home with two other canine siblings. When Tater had access to ample exercise and socialization with humans (Tater could go to work with his mom!), he did well with the other two dogs. Unfortunately, due to unforeseeable changes in his mom's life, Tater was no longer able to go to work, and longer work hours plus a new baby made exercising Tater & the other dogs extremely difficult. Tater and one of his siblings began to have conflicts that escalated to the point of it becoming an unsafe environment for Tater and his doggy sibling. We placed Tater in a foster to adopt home that we were hoping would be just right, but unfortunately the foster sibling in that home will not give Tater a chance, and the foster parents do not have the time to remediate this situation. For the safety of Tater and his foster sibling, it is imperative that Tater be moved as soon as possible. As a result of all the changes in his world, he has become overstimulated with lack of enrichment and exercise. Resource guarding items, whether it is toys or food is a response Tater has developed to help himself feel safe. This is not an appropriate behavior, and Tater will need to continue training with an experienced trainer that can help a potential family with getting Tater back to his confident self without fear or resource guarding. Tater's Needs: Tater is NOT for a first-time dog owner. He needs an experienced dog owner who will be completely committed to his success. Tater needs a job to do and plenty of exercise and enrichment to keep his brain engaged. We are currently hoping for a home with no other dogs, due to the failure of Tater with his foster sibling, though we could consider homes with other dogs with stable temperaments and plans to keep Tater and his siblings safe. We also do not recommend homes with young children (under the age of 13), because of Tater's history of resource guarding. Tater has had an evaluation from a trainer and a veterinarian who both believe Tater has the potential to shine in the appropriate home, but unfortunately everyone has given up on Tater thus far. Story
Our son adopted the dog when he moved out at 19. He did not realize the time and effort it takes to train & care for a dog. He recently joined the military and realizes it will be a very long time before he can care for an animal. We have been taking care of Beau, but we do not have the time for the attention that he needs. Because of our jobs, he does not play with other animals. He did play with some neighbor dogs about a year ago, and was not aggressive, just playful. We are not sure about cats. He has been fine around the few kids that he has been around. We sent him to training at Cedar Valley K9. He is a good dog, just very socially anxious. He needs someone to take the time to show him love and he will love them back. He is housetrained, and knows many of the basic commands. He does bark at strangers, but has never bitten anyone. He is just over 3yrs old. He loves walks, playing tug a war and chewing on his toys
