Story
Lulu is the sweetest little mix that loves to curl up with you on the couch. She has really beautiful heterochromia (one brown eye, one blue eye) a nd a super soft white and black spotted coat. She is a little shy and timid at first which who can blame her? This sweet girl was dumped with a microchip and no owner came for her! When she warms up, she shows her goofy and loving personality. She LOVES her foster brother (another pup who is twice her size) and is starting to come out of her shell to play with him. We believe she is about 4 years old according to her microchip information. This sweet girl was found as a stray near Buffalo Bayou with no owner attempting to claim her. We believe she has been out as a stray for some time due to her very skinny appearance but she is LOVING putting some pounds back on! She would make a great addition to any home that can give her unconditional love attention and the support she needs to keep gaining her confidence back. Please visit scoutshonor.org for more information on Lulu.  Also, you can see more about me at the following link -  https://www.facebook.com/reel/4280056002249108 April 19, 2026, 10:14 am

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Heartworm PositiveMeet Elvy, a 5-year old flashy fawn beauty with a heart full of sunshine and personality to match.  This silly, playful girl is bursting with character and charm.  She is the kind of dog who can make you laugh without even trying.  Elvie would benefit being the only dog in the home to begin with. She would need training and patience to teach her to be comfortable around other dogs. Elvy adores people and loves being part of the action.  She's happy to show off her good manners and already knows her basic commands.  She's not a big barker, but she'll give you plenty of joyful energy and affection.    Her favorite things?  Rolling around in the grass, soaking up the outdoors, and playing with her toys!  Elvy will gladly go into her crate when asked, but she'd much rather be lounging nearby, enjoying time wit her people. If you're looking for a fun-loving companion with a sweet spirit and plenty of love to share, Elvy might just be your perfect match.   We transport our dogs up North and out of Texas. We use trusted transport partners to safely deliver them to their families. Please contact Houston Boxer Rescue(HBR) regarding the transport fee for our dogs. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Transport Fee: Our basic transport fee is $300 for boxers traveling outside of Texas to their new homes in predetermined destinations(East Coast) using a trusted transport company. Story
Meet Honey! Honey is a 7-8 year old Pittie mix who’s all about the quiet, cozy life. At around 60 lbs, she’s got the perfect size to cuddle up next to you on the couch or nap the day away. Despite her past, she’s one of the sweetest and most tolerant dogs you’ll ever meet—especially once she trusts you.Honey gets along with all other dogs, big or small, though she’s more of a `chill companion` than an active player. Puppies can be a bit much for her (she’s not a fan of face-to-face puppy energy!), but she’s great with adults and older dogs. She’s not at all aggressive, and will happily move away from food or toys if another dog or person approaches—no guarding here! This lady is house trained, does well in her crate, and is very calm around kids (ages 7-17). While she’s gentle and patient with them, Honey would probably do best in a home with older children who are a little more mindful of her need for a calm environment. Loud, fast movements or sudden noises do startle her, and she might retreat to another room, but that’s just her way of saying, “I need a little space.” Honey’s energy level is on the lower side, so she’s the perfect companion for someone looking for a quieter, more relaxed dog. She’s not a fan of loud or busy environments, but with some patience and love, she’s really come a long way. Honey is a little more nervous around men but has made real progress, even initiating contact with her foster dad and older foster brother. Honey is looking for a family who understands her need for patience and kindness. With a stable, loving dog by her side to give her emotional support, she’ll continue to blossom and show her true, affectionate nature. If you’ve got a calm, patient household and a soft spot for a sweet soul who’s been through a lot, Honey might be the perfect addition to your family. Could Honey be your loyal, gentle companion? Come meet her today! Honey is in a loving foster home in the Houston, TX area. Adoption application: https://www.this-is-houston.org/adopt/adopt-application
