Story
Meet Luke! He is learning what true love means and boy does he like it! Luke is looking for a home that has time to spend with him. This beautiful boy is eager to learn new things, which is easy because he is so food motivated! He is also high energy and would love a person that could get him out for lots of exercise! Luke would probably be an excellent running companion. Luke needs a home that can take it slow with him as he figures out all that this world has to offer. He is lovable and kind and would liked to be matched with the same energy. Luke would do best in a home that can dedicate some time to training with an Animal Kind trainer so he learns how to be a dog in this big new world. At this time we are unsure how he is with other animals, but he seems to be happy to have slow and careful introductions to meet other dogs.If you have time to spend with this boy and love to shower him with, we know he will quickly become your best companion ♥ Thank you for your interest in adopting! Do you think you could be Luke's person? Meet our newest favourite duo - Amy & Chopper! We know it's a big ask, but we are hopeful to find a home that is excited to adopt BOTH Amy and Chopper. During their time with us, these two have shown us more and more just how bonded they are. They love to snuggle, groom each other, and are quite sad when they are separated! We all have a big soft spot for both these pups. Amy is a love-bug who is stealing everyone's hearts! She is a goofball, especially the more time you get to know her. She's an overweight girl, and will need a continued diet and lots of exercise to keep her joints and organs healthy! She loves to do morning zoomies in our yard each day with Chopper, and will joyfully toss around her favourite toys triumphantly. We often find Amy in a deep snooze on her favourite bed, snoring away the day. Amy could use some work on her pulling on walks, but a new harness is already starting to help with that. Chopper has the opposite issue of Amy, he could actually stand to gain a few pounds! Chopper is a lot more high energy than his counter part, which makes sense as he is definitely younger than Amy. Chopper is so excited each morning to go outside and explore that he will pick up and carry his toys around! This boy is also working on his walking skills, but is steadily improving. Chopper can be a bit more anxious than Amy while here in shelter, and will bark if they are apart. These two definitely get along and enjoy each other, but they do not tend to snuggle or rest together, though they enjoy walks and play time. Both of them tend to have intense play styles, and will sometimes need a break from each other. At this time we also do not know how they feel about children in the home.Friendly tip: If you're looking for a surefire way to make your application to stand out, consider telling us a little bit about yourself in the "anything else you'd like us to know?" section! Rylan is trained! Potty trained, crate trained, knows a few tricks, walks beautifully with a gentle leader leash, goes out to breweries and restaurants and behaves! He minds well in the home, loads in the car on his own, and genuinely wants to be a good boy. His foster mom adores him and has him in a great routine to transition to his forever home. He goes regularly to playgroups with other dogs to stay socialized. He passes other dogs while in public and behaves beautifully! This is the type of dog that you can take on adventures, and he will definitely be able to keep up, he will be brave with you, and he will not embarrass you around other dogs! He is going to make an amazing adventure buddy. Here’s my adoption movie for you to see my full personality, please take the time to watch me and I know that you will fall in love: https://youtu.be/z1KnDsCag0Y?si=c_RcBgQ42AwyMS7L I am potty trained and crate trained! Although, I would much prefer to free roam and be with my people. Im not too big at 55 pounds and can just need a yard big enough to play in or bask in the sun. I love toys and I love to play tug of war. I am playful and I like to engage and play with my people. I can also keep myself busy with toys. I’m very smart and I learn new tricks very quickly. If you just keep a few treats in hand, you can teach me something in a matter of seconds. While, I do have fun energy to go on walks and adventures, I can also calm down in the home. I love nap time! I’m a very good boy and all I want to do is please you. I went on a dog day out, and here's what they said about me: "I took him on a doggy day out to a restaurant with a patio, he did AMAZING!!! Couldn't have asked for better behavior. " I absolutely love everyone I meet and think everyone is my best friend. My favorite thing to do is make my people happy. I enjoy playing with toys but give them up easily to other dogs or people! I am also dog friendly and do great with other big dogs like myself that love to play rough! I can even play with male dogs that are 120 pounds! I am a perfect gentlemen when it comes to sharing with my doggie friends, food and toys alike! I even share the humans love with my dogfriends! I LOVE children! Especially silly kids who love to give me all the attention. We think I will do best with age 5 and up. I also love to share the couch with cuddles and get in the pool with my little humans. I would be a fantastic family dog! See why Michelle loves me: https://youtu.be/B5qWRK6BL4Q Rylan is about 5 years old and 55lbs. When you adopt Rylan you’ll be getting a lifetime of unconditional love and loyalty in this beautiful boy who is dying to be your new best friend! His perfect home would include a family who is willing to continue training for basic manners and socialization. Rylan would also do great in a semi active home with a backyard and with a family that will take him on adventures! He loves to explore and would make a great hiking companion. We are willing to test Rylan with anything you need us to in order to ensure it’s the perfect match for you! We can make anything happen! Just let us know. Rylan is available for virtual meet and greets if you are far away. WE love this boy and are ready to find him his forever home! Don’t miss out on this amazing pup!
