Story
Rylan is trained! Potty trained, crate trained, knows a few tricks, walks beautifully with a gentle leader leash, goes out to breweries and restaurants and behaves! He minds well in the home, loads in the car on his own, and genuinely wants to be a good boy. His foster mom adores him and has him in a great routine to transition to his forever home. He goes regularly to playgroups with other dogs to stay socialized. He passes other dogs while in public and behaves beautifully! This is the type of dog that you can take on adventures, and he will definitely be able to keep up, he will be brave with you, and he will not embarrass you around other dogs! He is going to make an amazing adventure buddy. Here’s my adoption movie for you to see my full personality, please take the time to watch me and I know that you will fall in love: https://youtu.be/z1KnDsCag0Y?si=c_RcBgQ42AwyMS7L I am potty trained and crate trained! Although, I would much prefer to free roam and be with my people. Im not too big at 55 pounds and can just need a yard big enough to play in or bask in the sun. I love toys and I love to play tug of war. I am playful and I like to engage and play with my people. I can also keep myself busy with toys. I’m very smart and I learn new tricks very quickly. If you just keep a few treats in hand, you can teach me something in a matter of seconds. While, I do have fun energy to go on walks and adventures, I can also calm down in the home. I love nap time! I’m a very good boy and all I want to do is please you. I went on a dog day out, and here's what they said about me: "I took him on a doggy day out to a restaurant with a patio, he did AMAZING!!! Couldn't have asked for better behavior. " I absolutely love everyone I meet and think everyone is my best friend. My favorite thing to do is make my people happy. I enjoy playing with toys but give them up easily to other dogs or people! I am also dog friendly and do great with other big dogs like myself that love to play rough! I can even play with male dogs that are 120 pounds! I am a perfect gentlemen when it comes to sharing with my doggie friends, food and toys alike! I even share the humans love with my dogfriends! I LOVE children! Especially silly kids who love to give me all the attention. We think I will do best with age 5 and up. I also love to share the couch with cuddles and get in the pool with my little humans. I would be a fantastic family dog! See why Michelle loves me: https://youtu.be/B5qWRK6BL4Q Rylan is about 5 years old and 55lbs. When you adopt Rylan you’ll be getting a lifetime of unconditional love and loyalty in this beautiful boy who is dying to be your new best friend! His perfect home would include a family who is willing to continue training for basic manners and socialization. Rylan would also do great in a semi active home with a backyard and with a family that will take him on adventures! He loves to explore and would make a great hiking companion. We are willing to test Rylan with anything you need us to in order to ensure it’s the perfect match for you! We can make anything happen! Just let us know. Rylan is available for virtual meet and greets if you are far away. WE love this boy and are ready to find him his forever home! Don’t miss out on this amazing pup! Story
Anakin is the sweetest boy! He loves, LOVES other dogs. He takes a second to warm up to his people but once he trusts you, he loves hard. He is a submissive boy and would do well in a home with other pets to love on and show him how to be confident. He has never been around a cat so we can’t say for sure how he would do. Anakin is not vocal at all. His foster mama says he is quiet in the car and would make the perfect travel and adventure buddy! He’s doing great with potty training and he is crate trained. Anakin is young so he will need a family that can commit to training socialization and all the stuff puppyhood comes with. His new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. He is perfect to go on walks and hikes or show off around your neighborhood! He recently recovered from surgery and is READY for his new start! He is in good health and can't wait to meet his new family. Meet Remy! A face everyone can LOVE! Literally, it is soooo squishy and then that smile. Can you already tell we are a little bit obsessed?! Smart, potty trained, crate trained, dog friendly, INSANELY cuddly and squishy! Remy is truly a special boy!! He shares, he basks, he rolls, he strolls, he sleeps, and he snores lol Every person at the Rescue has loved this boy. He has spent many hours with staff, volunteers, and his then foster mama. He has easily made us fall in love with him. We know you will too after watching his videos and learning more about him! You can see all of this in his adoption movie! https://youtu.be/S9ytDSfe-C4 Watch his gentle play style with his foster brother here: https://youtu.be/YOjcR4K8-M0?si=xVhITLrH7OuDHNiD Watch his gentle demeanor and energy level in a home here: https://youtu.be/bgT33dkmhEg?si=M1N26X7J0feVtRRp Remy is a ladies man but enjoys his male humans too! He just needs a bit to warm up and slowly check them out then he’ll be your BFF and instant playmate. This boy is truly a loyal king. Remy is currently living in a foster home with a 2 year old male pittie mix and they do very well together. It took a few days of slow introductions and now they are enjoying each other's company and are the best companions. His foster mom is also currently caring for a very inquisitive, rambunctious puppy and Remy is so gentle and nurturing! He truly has so much patience and love to give. This big hunk of love would do best in a home with no cats. He was a little too interested in the cats at his last foster home and tried to chase them. He was only trying to incite play and looking to have some fun! He has learned to sit and stay! He loves to play fetch and his favorite toy is anything that squeaks. He has learned to potty in the same place in the yard each time at his foster moms house. He is very treat motivated so continued training should be a piece of cake! He’s such a smart boy! He doesn’t jump and has a soft mouth. Saint Remy does great on a leash and would love to accompany his new person/family on walks and hikes. He also rides well in the car. He sits, lays, or watches out the window. At times he gets up and sneaks up for a kiss. He would love a fenced in yard where he can roam and fetch a ball! Even if it’s just him tossing the ball to himself lol We believe Remy would do best in a home with another dog that matches his energy. He has lived with large males both playful and more calm. He loves to romp around and share his toys. He has always been the submissive one of the bunch. He isn’t a vocal boy so living in a condo/townhome environment would be fine as long as he receives plenty of toys and gets that much needed time to bask in the sun and daily walks (more like strolls). Story
Beth Marie is easy to love! She is a family dog. She is a staff favorite in the entire rescue. She is a thick girl with no shame. Sometimes her lip gets stuck to her teeth while she smiles. She’s just herself!! It’s adorable. She loves toys and can keep herself occupied without needing confinement in the home. She can be trusted, which is great! This is an easy dog. She is totally silent in her kennel and very well mannered in the home. She can free roam in home., She’s confident, carefree, joyful, cuddly, potty trained and crate trained, great with kids, and just in general very easy to have around. She loves people so much and her tail never stops wagging especially if you talk to her. She is a BEST friend kind of a dog. She rides awesome in the car like she is a human enjoying the scenery. If you take her out in public, she will not embarrass you, she will greet people with a tail wag, and a smile. She has walked around a lot on leash with us, and she does not look at other dogs, or bark or react. Beth Marie’s ultimate paradise is snuggled up on the couch with you. When given the opportunity she will lean into you, or try to sit in your lap. She isn't an in your face girl but will lay across your lap or spooned up next to your side! She gives gentle kisses, and absolutely adores having a relationship with you. Beth hung out with my kids ages three and five years old and she seemed very comfortable with them. She sat right there while my daughter had a tea party and even played along. Here’s her personality: https://youtu.be/eKJUq5vyGaQ?si=59-mtl7r25zUuXpw Watch another video here: https://youtu.be/gFRkX0aM6XI One of Beth Marie’s most admirable qualities is her ease on the leash. Taking her for a walk is a breeze, as she gracefully glides alongside you. She gets very excited to go on her walks as she is quite the avid explorer! She loves the sights and smells and will often hold her head up high and breathe in all the smells! Beth Marie is dog friendly and we showed that in her video but would be best placed in a home without other dogs or cats. She would be perfectly content being your entire world. She is a big girl so we don’t want to risk her not being properly matched with another dog in the house. But don’t worry she won’t embarrass you on walks. She will pass by other people and dogs. Beth Marie is about 4 years old and weighs 70lbs and has the most beautiful green eyes that you can’t resist. What truly sets Beth Marie apart is the perpetual smile. While she does love her crate, Beth Marie is also a pup that does well without one. In her foster home, she is not kenneled but there is always a kennel out for her. She really prefers to curl up on the couch behind all of the pillows! Beth Marie is not a destructive dog either so she can be left alone during the day! This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. We provide weekly socialization programs for our dogs through playgroups and group leash training classes available to all dogs in our adoption program, and Doggy Sleepover, Doggy Day Out, and Ambassador programs for our boarding dogs. There is a professional dog trainer on staff to provide support for our fosters and dogs, and an off-site dog trainer for dogs that need more extensive behavior modification. This helps us learn deeply about every dog, prepare them for adoption, and ultimately match them with loving families. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Oreo is a 45 lbs sweet Oreo pie pup! WELL not only looks like one, he is just as sweet! This boy loves his human and will stick right by your side. He is an almost 3 year old rescue boy who is looking for a family to make his life complete. Oreo is good inside a home and loves the yard. He is great around other dogs both BIG and small and can be a little timid meeting new people. Oreo is very smart and obedient too. He loves to listen to his person and show off his skills. He knows the commands sit and stay. Oreo uses a gentle leader when out on walks. Don't worry we can even show you how to use one and include one in his adoption for you! Oreo's a pro at this leash too! He is a little more reserved when first meeting new dogs, but he warms up well to playful dogs. He can play with playful dogs but most of all loves to cozy up to his human. He is very loyal and affectionate! He lays at your feet touching you or will cozy up on the couch if you will allow. Meet Oreo here: https://youtu.be/YRj2XuYQwj0 He loves taking long walks and he plays great with people too! When Oreo sees you he will hop around and get really excited. Lady is a fantastic dog. She is easy to walk, enjoys a good cuddle, and is all-together pleasant. She does have a Frenchie yodel when left alone, but it is entertaining. She groans with delight while being pet. She is under two years old. She has a lot of love to give. She is dog reactive, so she will need to be the only pet in the home. Her new home must have a fenced yard and the adopter must own their home.

Story
Helloooooo Canadaaaaa! My name is Kyros and here is some info about me: Breed: American Pitbull TerrierAge: 7 years 7 monthsGender: maleWeight: 28 kgs/ 61lbsHeight: tbd Witnesses saw me being dumped from a car on a busy highway. Terribly shameful thing for someone to do. Thank goodness my rescuer saved me. After my rescue, my old owner was identified and my rescuer discovered that I’ve lived most of my life (5 years) tied outside a garage through winter and summer. Horrible again. I got adopted shortly after (6 months) and unfortunately my owner passed away due to a sudden heart attack. So sad. We were great together and he was helping me learn. After that, I have been placed in a paid boarding facility, where I am extremely depressed and barely eating. I am an extremely loyal and protective dog. I often get depressed and stop eating if I am not with a human for a long period of time. I warm up to people very quickly and love to bond with humans. I stay close to my human and give them a lot of sloppy kisses and love. I can be trained easily once I trust the person, you just need to find my motivation (usually vocal and physical praise.) I was initially reactive towards all dogs, but with training and some socialization from my previous owner, I was able to approach female dogs in a playful way without reacting. See my video. Though still not friendly with male dogs at all (have a bite history with a male dog). I will never be the dog who can be left off-leash in a park, but with proper training and leadership, I can be a very good dog and companion! Through the work my owner had done, I can walk past barking male dogs (with a secure fence separating us) without flinching (before I was adopted, I used to lunge and pull right away), but if one of them crosses a line and annoys me, I will still lunge and snap at them. If my training is resumed, I'm sure I can improve further. I showed definite improvement with someone taking the time to work with me. The best home would be one without young children or other pets. I will do well with 1.5 hours of walking per day and around 30 minutes of running or tug play. It would be ideal to be in a home with a fenced space for off-leash play, since I cannot be left with other dogs. It would be grand if I could go to a Pitbull knowledgeable home. ENERGY LEVEL: Moderate I GET ALONG WITH:Dogs, ok with females (on leash only) and not friendly at all with males.Cats, unknown, but not likelyKids, unknown. I greet kids (7-10 yrs) during walks, but have never lived with one. I seem friendly and kind with them during walks. PREY DRIVE: High FEARS:none that my rescue mom knows of! I do get jumpy if someone does a lot of sudden movements around me due to my abusive history. TRAINING: someLeash skills – I am leash reactive, so wil need continued work on this. My previous owner was teaching me how to walk nicely on the leash, but I still pull a lot!House trained – I was in a home before, but need a refresher!Other tricks – sit and stay HEALTH NOTES:I am a healthy boy. I am fully vaccinated and neutered. I am also microchipped! My adoption fee is $650.00 CAD + applicable taxes, which includes my airfare, if a flight volunteer is found directly to Vancouver. I would likely fly through Montreal, see extra costs below. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or  Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. ##1304455##

Meet Laika! https://youtu.be/PbqVh7KGJjI See why Meagan loves Laika: https://youtube.com/shorts/MY3yj1W-HMk?feature=share -FRIENDLY AND PLAYFUL - AFFECTION DRIVEN -POTTY TRAINED This ridiculously happy girl is going to be an absolutely BELOVED family member for some lucky home! Laika is approximately 2-3 years old and 59 pounds of smiles! This first time mom found herself alone and pregnant when a kind Houstonian took her in. After raising her 9 puppies, Laika is ready for a home of her own! Laika is good with dogs- Our evaluation team had 4 other dogs in the pen with her! Typically during pups' assessment we take it easy and start them out slowly with 1 or 2 dogs. No need to with Laika! She's just a social butterfly!! Laika is good with kids age 8+ and really adores her time with people big and small! Laika is fully Potty trained! She's a bit strong on a leash (so many things to smell!) So she'll need someone willing to help her improve her leash skills so she can comfortably accompany you everywhere you go! No problems with house training but she has a lot of energy so would do best with another dog. Currently fostered in Texas- Laika is ready to transport to her new home in the PNW! This is marvelous Mellow and we suspect he is a 55 lb boxer/lab mix but you can never be 100% sure with rescue! It’s always our best guess! Mellow is such a sweet boy and is adjusting well in his new foster home! His current foster home has 3 dogs - a lab, husky and mixed breed and he does well with all the dogs. He also lives in a home with kids and loves them! He would be a wonderful addition to a family with kids! He enjoys playing with the resident dogs but would also do well in a home as the only dog. One thing is for sure … he loves his humans! He enjoys dog toys, playing fetch and just playing in his foster parents backyard! Mellow is crate trained and has no issues going into his crate and sleeping in it all night. He is also house trained but will need time to learn his new routine and where to go potty. This big guy is super people friendly! He’s very treat motivated and has a soft mouth so training should be easy! Mellow loves going on car car rides and would enjoy going on errand runs and road trips with his people. Watch his video here: https://youtu.be/tyNgPixR08c His foster family is working with him on leash skills and he’s great on leash! His foster mom also reports he knows how to sit, shake and lay down! He is such a smart boy you should be able to train him to do most anything especially since he is treat motivated. Does Mellow sound like your kinda guy? If so, click on the link below to apply! Story
Are you looking to add some happiness and constant smiles to your life? Stevie Waller is just the girl for you! This bowling ball of happiness is probably one of the happiest dogs you will ever meet. She is always smiling, tail is always wagging, and she greets you like she hasn't seen you in ages every time you return home. Her enthusiasm for life is contagious and she is the best package of happiness that you could ever come home to. Watch her video here: https://youtu.be/BJAFcpu7reU?si=DTwIFRnx_Rx6bJDk Stevie Waller is a pocket pittie mix approximately 3 years old and currently weighs 35lbs and is full grown! We do not expect her to get much bigger, if at all. She is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it's always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. Stevie is very dog friendly and loves to play! She did wonderful with everyone we introduced her to and she loved playing with our 2 little 12 lb scruffy dogs that we use for assessments. One of her favorite games is to play chase and she is so mindful about the little dogs as well, making sure that she doesn't run all over them. She knows when to settle down as well and isn't all about play time 24/7. Stevie also did well during her cat test and wasn't overly interested in them. We do not know if she has ever lived with cats before nor can we guarantee that things won't change. We do believe that with slow and proper introductions, she can coexist in a home with cats. She would love to be adopted out to a family with a play mate but does not need to be adopted out with another dog to feel comfortable. She is confident all on her own and does great meeting new people. She loves everyone and knows no stranger. Stevie would also love to have a backyard that she can romp around in and get all the zoomies in and bask in the sunshine. She does have energy but nothing a good exercise, mental stimulation or romp in the backyard can't help. Her energy is mainly associated with how happy she is all the time. She is treat motivated and eager to please which will help make any additional training that much more enjoyable. To our knowledge, she is crate trained and potty trained but may need a reminder about where the appropriate potty places are once in her forever home.We are willing to test Stevie Waller with anything you need us to in order to ensure it’s the perfect match for you! Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes.
