Story
Hi! Dilbert is my name, and I came all the way from California to make room for the animals displaced by the wildfires. I was originally a stray and have been living the shelter life for almost a year now! I am now ready to finally find my forever family here in Wisconsin! With my sweet demeanor and charming cross-eyes, I am a total catch and would make a great companion for any family, big or small! I am friendly with everyone, fairly mellow, and wouldn't mind sharing my home with children of all ages. One thing to keep in mind though is that I am a stocky boy, so I may knock over little ones from time to time out of excitement. I have been successfully introduced to dogs in the past, but I do play hard and need to work on picking up social cues, so if I were to go home with another pup in the future, they would need to match my energy and play style. I am a lovable dude that wants nothing more than a home and family to call mine! Maybe there's a chance that could be with you! Come meet me at the shelter and see how wonderful of a boy I am! I can't wait to meet you! Primary Color: Tan Secondary Color: White Weight: 61.4 Age: 3yrs 1mths 3wks

Story
Hello - Olaf here! I was transferred here from California to open up space for animals displaced from the wildfires that took place there. I am a handsome, fun-loving boy that loves to play! It's everything you'd want in a dog companion! I just have one unique thing about me - I'm deaf! Now, this does not stop me from being friendly, happy, and smart! In fact, I even know some sign-language! I am a big boy and get a little overexcited when I play, so I may be a bit much for small children, but I am friendly with them! I have also been involved in dog play groups in the past and did SO good! I would probably be okay with sharing my home with another pup given it's a good fit! Please don't let my inability to hear deter you from taking me home! There are so many things to love about a deaf dog! Because I rely on visual cues and body language instead of sound, I am more tuned-in to my person and am more likely to develop a stronger bond to my owner! Another great plus to having a deaf dog is no noise reactivity! Apartment living? No problem for me! I won't even hear your noisy upstairs neighbors at 3am! The ultimate reason why you should love adopting a deaf dog like me - we tend to be highly intelligent! Having to learn different forms of communication other than hearing requires more brain work which in turn, makes for a very smart pup! Please consider me if you're looking to add onto your family by four paws! It'll be a rewarding experience for both of us! I hope to meet you soon! Primary Color: White Weight: 78 Age: 2yrs 1mths 3wks

Story
Hey there - Sparky here! I was surrendered to the shelter for not quite being potty trained yet. I will say, that is something I need some work on, but I am still young. I know I can get there with a little time and patience! I am pretty timid at first, but if you go slow with me, I warm up in no time at all! I came with my friend Harper, and we are pretty good buddies! I am for sure more confident when I am with her, that's for sure! I am on the mellower side, but don't let that fool you - I will show my fun and playful side as well! I so badly want to have a family of own again. I would honestly do great with anyone! Cats, dogs, kids, they're all A-OK with me! Harper and I are not a bonded pair, but we do love each other and would love it even more if we could be adopted out together! Do you have it in your heart for a guy like me? Or maybe both of us? Come see us at the shelter! Primary Color: White Secondary Color: Black Weight: 47.4 Age: 1yrs 2mths 3wks

Story
Jersey is a sweet girl who loves to play fetch, but would also love to spend the day cuddled up under a blanket with you! We adopted Jersey 3 years ago from a shelter, she was fearful and reactive, clearly abused as a puppy! Jersey got professional dog training and she listens really well! Completely house trained and kenneled trained! She is very lazy and will sleep on the couch all day long with our other dog! BUT she is horrified of people she does not know and dogs she’s not familiar with. She is reactive so she will bark and growl at people she’s not familiar with. With our growing family we are traveling more and moving out of the quiet country to a big city. We know this change will not be a good life for jersey. Jersey is in need of a home body, who lives a slower lifestyle and has patience and love for all of Jerseys quirks!

Story
Meet Harper! Harper is a gentle soul on a journey to find confidence and trust in the world around her. While she may be a little shy and cautious at first, she is blossoming every day with the help of her foster family. Harper is searching for a forever home that will provide her with the patience and understanding she needs to thrive. Her ideal family will offer her a calm and safe environment where she can feel secure, along with a doggy companion to help show her the ropes and remind her that life can be full of joy and fun. A securely fenced yard is a must for this curious girl, as she’s known for her adventurous spirit and knack for exploring! Harper is still working on perfecting her potty training and will need a family committed to helping her succeed. She’s also receiving support from her vet to explore options that can help ease her anxiety, and her new family should be willing to continue this care as she grows into her best self. Harper’s transformation won’t happen overnight, but she is absolutely worth the wait. With time, love, and understanding, this special pup will become an incredible and devoted companion. If you’re ready to offer Harper the patience and compassion she deserves, she’ll reward you with a lifetime of loyalty and love.

Story
Meet Roscoe – A Perfect Blend of Snuggles & Smarts! 🌟 Name: Roscoe 🎂 Age: 1-2 years 🐶 Breed: Perfect Pittie 🥌 Weight: 65 lbs 💉 Vaccination Status: Roscoe is current on rabies, distemper, leptospirosis, lyme, and bordetella vaccines, as well as Heartworm/Tick, and intestinal parasite screenings until January 2026, ensuring his continued health and well-being. 🏡 Ideal Home: Roscoe is looking for an active, patient family who enjoys playtime, walks, and little adventures, but also loves to cuddle up on the couch for some quality snuggle time. 🐕 Compatibility: Gets along well with other dogs, though he’s still learning to share his exciting toys. Does well with chews and food around. His energetic nature and tendency to chase moving objects mean he might not be the best match with cats. Best suited for homes with older children who understand that his enthusiastic, puppy personality can sometimes be a bit overwhelming for younger kids. 👂 Special Needs: None ✂️ Grooming: Normal maintenance 🐾 Training: Roscoe is making great strides in learning patience and managing his excitement during play. He’s crate trained for both alone time and bedtime, and he’s incredibly smart and eager to learn whatever you’re willing to teach him! Ready to add a bundle of energy and affection to your family? Story
She was born on 1-23-23, we have had her since she was 9 months old. It has been difficult to train and establish a routine due to the busy schedule my husband and I have. We have 3 kids, but they have "their own lives" and do not help with her. The majority of the summer we are not home, and we have been paying for the doggy daycare for both socialization and when we are out of the state. She is up to date with all immunizations. She is a lover, cuddler, and she watches tv. Gets along with other dogs, cats and children of all ages. There is not a rehoming fee, we would rather have someone who would take care of her, train her properly and give her a more active life than we are able to.
