Story
Hello - Olaf here! I was transferred here from California to open up space for animals displaced from the wildfires that took place there. I am a handsome, fun-loving boy that loves to play! It's everything you'd want in a dog companion! I just have one unique thing about me - I'm deaf! Now, this does not stop me from being friendly, happy, and smart! In fact, I even know some sign-language! I am a big boy and get a little overexcited when I play, so I may be a bit much for small children, but I am friendly with them! I have also been involved in dog play groups in the past and did SO good! I would probably be okay with sharing my home with another pup given it's a good fit! Please don't let my inability to hear deter you from taking me home! There are so many things to love about a deaf dog! Because I rely on visual cues and body language instead of sound, I am more tuned-in to my person and am more likely to develop a stronger bond to my owner! Another great plus to having a deaf dog is no noise reactivity! Apartment living? No problem for me! I won't even hear your noisy upstairs neighbors at 3am! The ultimate reason why you should love adopting a deaf dog like me - we tend to be highly intelligent! Having to learn different forms of communication other than hearing requires more brain work which in turn, makes for a very smart pup! Please consider me if you're looking to add onto your family by four paws! It'll be a rewarding experience for both of us! I hope to meet you soon! Story
Myles has been reactive to our neighbors. We are unable to move. He will need time to meet and adjust to a family. He is about 10 years old. He is my 11 year old sons dog and we are absolutely devastated to re-home him. He loves him so much. Right now he is scheduled for a behavior euthanasia. He just needs the right owner. He does wear pants due to marking. We will provide everything he could possibly need. Please help save this boys life..

Story
Hi - Chip here! If there's anything you need to know about me off the bat, it's that I have been through SO much in my 4 or so years of life. If you have been following the shelter for a while, I'm from the group of "plane crash" dogs from Louisiana a few years back. After that followed two failed adoptions, going through Heartworm treatment, being adopted again, and now being surrendered through no fault of my own yet again. I cannot catch a break. Despite this journey I have been on, I am still keeping my spirits high! I know I am a good boy who deserves all the love in the world and is willing to give it back in return! I can be a little wary of strangers at first, and younger children do make a bit nervous sometimes, but with a proper, slow introductions to new people, I will warm up in due time! I have a good energy level that is easy to keep up with, but I can get a little protective of my toys and food at times, but if you give me my space when I need it, there should be no issues! I've gone to doggy daycare and did very well, and I have lived with cats in the past - just a fair warning though, I may chase them from time to time! I deserve a home that will be able to give me the love, attention, and exercise that I need to be the best pup I possibly can be! Maybe you could be the one to be my true forever home? Ask to meet me and see if we are a match! Primary Color: Tan Secondary Color: White Weight: 52.8 Age: 4yrs 6mths 0wks

Story
We adopted Clifford for the Milwaukee Humane Society 2 years ago and have bonded and trained with him. He is an amazing, sweet, and smart dog with lots of energy at the age of 7 (approximately). However, we are looking to start a family and our house and time constraints do not support his continued training journey. He is a rescue and has unknown trauma from his life before us but is an amazing dog. Clifford needs an experienced adopter with time and space for his energy. He has never had an accident in the house, he barks a little but not excessively, he gets along with other animals (small or large) and children however because of his size in comparison to small children he can occasionally get in their way without realizing it.

Check out our Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok for more pictures & videos of our adoptable dogs!Updated: 5/18/2025 Dog Name: Neveah Sex: Female Estimated Breed:  American Bully mix Approximate Age: 1 year Approximate Weight: 53 lbs Spay/Neuter Status: Spayed Description:  Neveah is a sweet, gentle girl with a heart full of love and ears you can’t help but adore! She gets along beautifully with kids, cats, other dogs, and absolutely everyone she meets. Her playful spark shines when she’s with her furry or human friends, and she’s always ready to share a tail wag or a kiss!   Neveah has a calm, easygoing personality and is incredibly well-mannered. She’s especially patient with puppies-letting them crawl on her and play without a fuss. Whether she’s showing off her winning smile or snuggling up for a nap, Neveah’s loving nature is impossible to resist.   She delights in life’s simple pleasures: a cozy nap spot, a good treat, her doggie pals, and most of all—her people. She’ll happily curl up near you just to be close and enjoys lounging on the couch or cuddling with the other dogs in her foster home.   Neveah’s gentle heart and joyful presence make her the perfect addition to just about any family. Meet her once, and you’ll see why everyone falls in love!   Adoption Fee: $450We are a Wisconsin state licensed dog rescue -WI# 402433   ***We do not have a central adoption center at this time. All our dogs are in private foster homes within WI. At this time we only place our dogs in areas of WI. The breed of our dogs is our best guess with the help of our veterinarians. Our Weight Classes are as follows: 0- 25lbs - Small 26- 45lbs - Medium 46-89 - Large 90+ X-large If you are adopting an adult dog, which we consider 6 months of age or older, your adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper shots, dewormed, flea & tick preventative, heartworm tested and microchipped. If you are adopting a dog younger than 6 months of age, the dog will be up to date on the shots as per the dogs age. The dog will be dewormed, flea/tick preventative and microchipped. We only spay/neuter our dogs once they're at least 6 months old. If you decide to adopt a younger dog than 6 months, they will need to be spayed/neutered by your veterinarian when they are between 6 to 8 months old. Proof that the spay/neuter has been completed will need to be submitted to Tailwaggers911. Once proof of the spay/neuter has been received, we will refund $100 of your adoption fee via Venmo, PayPal or have a check in the mail within 15 days. Once you are approved with our rescue, you can meet any one of our dogs within the fosters home. If you are interested in the dog you met, you can take the dog home under our mandatory foster to adopt program. You receive 5 days to see if the dog is the right fit for your home. If it is, we will conduct the home visit and finalize adoption. If it is not, it is returned to the foster. We are happy to find you another dog that meets your needs in your home. If a dog is listed as ADOPTION IN PROCESS, a family has met the dog and planning on adopting the dog after the home visit has been conducted. We always suggest sending in an application for a dog because there are times where the dogs are given back to us under the foster to adopt program. There are many reasons dogs are returned but normally it just was not the right fit for all. Please go to WWW.TAILWAGGERS911.COM under HOW TO ADOPT . We have an online application that is very easy to fill out. May 18, 2025, 10:32 pm

Story
$100 OFF ADOPTION FEE!! Meet Mercy! 9 months old and 25 lbs of pure love and cuddles! Foster mom says Shes a mellow girl with a sassy twist when her puppy spirit kicks in. She’s her shadow, always by her side, even if it means joining in on bathroom breaks! Mercy is the ultimate snuggle buddy - nap time or bedtime, she’ll be as close to you as possible, even if that means laying right on top of you. A little shy at first, but once she warm up to you, she’s the most loyal friend you'll ever have. She loves playing with other dogs and kids. Working hard on her puppy manners and potty training, she may need some extra encouragement, but she’s making progress! Crate training is a work in progress too, but she’s learning that it can be her safe space. Mercy is looking for a forever friend and cuddle buddy! Mercy is up to date on vaccines, flea/tick and heart worm prevention, is microchipped and spayed. ***Please note*** The breeds listed are our best guess based on appearance and size. We are not 100% sure what their breeds are.
