Story
Sammi is a 3 year old fun loving pittie mix. With 1.5-2 hrs of exercise/mental enrichment/play a day she'll snuggle right up with you. She loves doggie friends, especially the carefree playful types. She's also pretty good at matching energy with more laid-back dogs. Sammi is always up for activities. She loves trick training and is very food motivated. Obstacle courses are super fun; jumping, perching, crawling, and weaving. Flirt pole is her favorite. Sammi has had a significant amount of training and would do best with an experienced dog person who is willing and able to maintain. One ongoing focus is meeting new people, specifically men. She also struggles moderately with being alone for an entire workday but is kennel trained. She would do best with someone who works from home, able to provide her a midday break, and/or doggy daycare. Her current trainer is willing to offer support during meeting, transition, and beyond. Sammi is spayed and current on all vaccines.

Story
Meet Ziggy...Ziggy is a smart, striking pup with a big personality and an even bigger heart! She loves people and isn’t shy about showing it—but on her terms. Ziggy enjoys attention and affection, though she can get a little overexcited during petting, so she’ll do best with someone who can read her cues and help her settle when she needs space.Around other dogs, Ziggy is curious and social, but her greetings can be a bit... enthusiastic. She may come on strong and doesn’t always understand doggy etiquette, so a slow, supervised intro to other pups is best.Ziggy does have a bit of an adventurous streak and has previously escaped from her yard, so she’ll need vigilant supervision outside—even in fenced areas. She’s not the kind of dog to be left alone in a backyard, but she’ll thrive with someone who wants to include her in daily activities. If you’re looking for a bold, loving companion who will keep life interesting and your heart full, Ziggy may just be your girl.Medical: Ziggy is an overall healthy dog who would benefit from meeting their new vet as soon as possible to get a clean bill of health. Weight: 52.2 lbsAdoption Fee: $375 + taxIf you`d like to meet me, click the `Learn About the Adoption Process` button below to plan a visit to the shelter!

Story
Blueberry is a sweet, sensitive soul who’s just looking for the right person to help her feel safe and loved. She may be a bit shy when first meeting new people or dogs, but give her a little time and patience, and you’ll see her true personality shine. Once she feels secure, Blueberry blossoms into a friendly, playful, and loyal companion who loves spending time with her favorite humans.Blueberry would thrive in a calm, predictable home with someone who understands that building trust takes time. She’s especially afraid of storms and loud noises, so a quiet environment where she can feel protected is ideal. Due to her sensitivity, we recommend a home without small children. If you’re looking for a gentle, devoted dog to bond with, Blueberry could be your perfect match. She’s ready to give her heart to someone who will give her the space and love she needs to feel safe. Could that someone be you?Weight: ~76.4 lbsFee: $375 + Tax

Story
Bindi is a sweet, playful, and loving puppy who may have had a unique start to life, but she doesn't let anything hold her back! After being transferred from Winnebago County following an injury, Bindi has become a tripod, but this hasn't slowed her down one bit. Full of energy and joy, she’s ready to share her heart with her forever family. While Bindi is still learning the ropes of life, she is a true puppy at heart—wild, clumsy, and full of love. She loves to play, but she’s still working on understanding when older dogs aren’t in the mood for playtime. She would thrive in a home with a dog who enjoys playtime, as it would help boost her confidence. A dog buddy who is open to play would be an ideal match for her! Bindi is crate-trained and is still perfecting her potty training, which may have been impacted by her recent surgery. She’s making progress, and with patience and love, she’ll continue to improve. Though Bindi is a big chewer, she sticks to her bones, bully sticks, and Greenies—not household items—so she’s easy to keep entertained and content. She does enjoy a playful nibble but she understands when you say “No, ouch, and no bites.” Despite her wild side, Bindi is the ultimate snuggler! She loves sleeping in the bed, especially with her favorite human, a 5-year-old boy. There's nothing she loves more than being close to her family and soaking up all the love and human touch she can get. Her eyes are incredibly expressive—those little "human eyes" make it clear exactly how she’s feeling, and it’s easy to get attached to her sweet face and personality. Bindi's spirited and affectionate nature shines through, proving that no challenge is too big when you have a heart full of love. She is looking for a forever home where she can be treated with the love, care, and attention she deserves. Whether you're up for an adventure or just lounging on the couch, Bindi will be by your side, ready to share all of her joy and affection. If you're looking for a resilient, loving girl who can bring endless joy into your life, Bindi may just be the perfect fit for your family. Come meet her today, and let her show you the incredible bond you can share with this sweet girl! All of our dogs are dewormed, spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and heartworm tested if they are old enough.
