I already know basic commands such as sit and down, but sometimes I forget my manners and want to jump up and say 'Hello'. I would really benefit from someone who has experience with positive reinforcement training to help me become the best dog I can be. I'm very eager to learn, so training will be so much fun for us! I have alot of energy and am interested in playing with other dogs but will need slow introductions and supervised play with new dog friends. I am a little bit too interested in cats so I should go to a home without them and until I learn some more polite behaviors I might be too much for small kids. Not only is he a slam-dunk in the looks department, he's mastered the "puppy eyes" and just sucks you in with one look. Julien is sweet as can be, just melting in your hands and showering you with kisses. This kid is a master snuggler, and his tail never stops wagging. Although Julien does totally fine with other dogs when a barrier such as a fence or kennel door is involved, he would prefer not to share your attention and be the only dog in his forever home. Julien came to us with many scars on his face and legs, so we're assuming he may have been attacked in the past and understandably feels a bit nervous around other dogs. Julien has spent some time in our staff offices, as he's a favorite around the shelter. He loves to help with office duties and make sure everyone stays on task. After a few minutes of exploring, Julien settles in and lays on his bed all stretched relaxing. Julien is one fantastic pup, that's for sure! Hopper is the happiest boy ever and really lives up to his name. He is an exuberant boy and loves to play, but also LOVES a good snuggle session. He came to us from a crowded shelter in Ohio, and is extremely underweight, which will quickly resolve with all the love and treats our shelter dogs receive. Hopper is quickly picking up basic commands and is working on his manners, and has been enjoying walks with our volunteers. He recently visited an elementary school, and did fantastic with all the children wanting to say hi. Hopper is looking for an active family who enjoys a good laugh from his silly personality, as well as some hard core snuggling on the couch. Fiyero first came to us when our staff found him outside tied to the fence, presumably left there by his previous owner. Those circumstances didn't stop him from quickly stealing our hearts with his joyful spirit! Fiyero loves nothing more than a game of tug, and he has energy for days. A sweet and eager boy, Fiyero will stop at nothing to make you smile. Not only is he an incredibly handsome boy, he's very smart too! When it's time to go for a walk, he will bring the leash over and make it known that he wants some outside time. His ideal forever home would have lots of time to play with him and continue working on his training, as well as lots of toys to entertain his adorably wild mind. Rory came to us from MADACC, where she was found a broken shell of a dog. Extremely emaciated, sores on her body, overgrown nails, and extremely fearful Rory obviously had some painful past experiences. But after a week or so of earning her trust, she has become the most happy, loving girl. Rory can be a bit selective with other dogs, particularly high energy pups who are very in her face. So any existing dogs in the home would require a dog test to ensure it's a good match. She loves to go on adventures, and has become a confident pup who deeply loves her people. Rory is the most gentle and loving with kiddos, and is sure to make a family very happy! Jessie is being fostered in FL Jessie is doing great! He continues to be very sweet and gentle, and whenever his foster mom walks him, the neighborhood children love to come over and pet him. And if he hears people talking, he'll come over to say hello! Jessie also thinks he's part cat!
