Story
CYAN is a very sweet and playful mixed breed dog. He's around 1 yr and 50lbs. He's so submissive and sweet, active and loves to give kisses. He gets along well with other dogs and appears non-reactive to cats (although he does not live with any). He would be fine with small children and adults alike. He enjoys chew toys and bones of all kinds and adores wrestling with anyone who will give him the time of day! He walks gently on a leash and shares the pillow nicely in bed! He is fostered in Houston TX and will not be transported until adopted. His fee is $850. You may pick him up in Texas or we can discuss flying him to you. The first step in adoption is to fill out an application at www.recycleddogsrescue.org.

****Lucy has been with us longer than we would like, she she has been added to our Lonely Hearts Club. Her adoption fee has been waived****Meet Lucy! Lucy is an energetic and wholesome lady who is looking for a home to call her own. Lucy is a little nervous around new people and may require some time to warm up before becoming your best pal. She`s been very friendly with people here at the shelter. She`s dog-friendly with proper slow introductions, but will do best in a home with no cats or smaller animals. She`s also looking for a home with only teenagers or older, since she can be rough when playing with toys. Lucy is both crate and house trained but may need some reminders upon entering a new home. Not to brag or anything, but she is also super smart and knows tricks like `sit,` `lie down,` and `come.` She`s a stellar listener! If you are looking for dog that is down for a good time, Lucy just may be your girl!Medical History: Lucy appears to be a healthy and happy dog, but it is always best to get established with a vet after adoption!Size: ~64.6 lbsAdoption Fee: Lucy`s adoption fee has been waived to help her find a new home!

Story
****Sir has been with us longer than we would like. He has been added to our Lonely Hearts Club and his adoption fee is waived****Meet Sir, a friendly fellow who greets everyone like an old friend and carries himself with the charm of a canine nobleman. He’s warm, social, and always excited to make new acquaintances. But don’t let the title fool you, this gentleman has places to be. Once that leash is clipped on, Sir is convinced he’s leading a royal parade. He pulls with enthusiasm and purpose, as if he’s got appointments across the kingdom and mustn’t be late! With some training, patience, and a sturdy harness, he’ll learn to slow his pace and enjoy the journey. Sir is looking for a home that will appreciate his joyful spirit, his friendly nature, and his zest for adventure. If you’re ready for a loyal companion who brings noble charm and a bit of eccentric urgency to every walk, then Sir is ready to meet you!Restrictions: No small children, and if you have another dog it`s recommended to take a very slow introduction process, or even have Sir go to a home as a solo dog. Medical History: Sir appears to be a very healthy dog. We always recommend that dogs see a new vet shortly after adoption so they can get to know each other and plan a schedule for his long-term good healthWeight: 67 lbsAdoption Fee: Sir`s adoption fee has been waived to help him find his new home

Story
****Romeo has been with us longer than we would like, so he has been added to our Lonely Hearts Club. A generous donor has covered the rest of his adoption fee.****Meet Romeo, a handsome heartthrob with the softest eyes and the biggest, gentlest heart. This 5-year-old pittie mix is a hunk of love who believes his best place in the world is right next to his person… preferably on a couch, a dog bed, or buried under a pile of blankets. Romeo will gaze deep into your eyes like he’s trying to memorize your soul, and once you’re “his,” you’re really his. Romeo can be shy at first and does best with a slow, patient introduction, especially around unfamiliar men or people wearing hats, hoods, or big coats. The world can feel a little loud and surprising to him, but when something scares him, he chooses retreat over drama. A moving leaf? Absolutely suspicious. But give him time, treats, and kindness, and you’ll see his confidence bloom.Once he settles in, Romeo is pure gold. He’s affectionate, snuggly, and hilariously devoted. He knows his manners too—he’s already mastered sit, shake, lay down, and even “sit pretty,” and he’s very motivated by treats (especially peanut butter). He does well at the vet and groomer, enjoys car rides, and previously loved doggy daycare.Romeo loves other dogs and would be thrilled to have a canine friend to play with. He’s lived successfully with another dog and greets most pups with excited grunts and an eager “wanna play?” He’s house-trained, crate-trained, free-roams nicely, and spends alone time snoozing on the couch. He does best with older kids and has a special soft spot for them—he even used to help wake his kid up for school every morning. At home, Romeo’s favorite hobbies include hoarding squeaky toys on his dog bed, zooming around after bathroom breaks, and becoming completely inseparable from anyone brave enough to turn on a heated blanket. Romeo is looking for a patient, loving home where he can feel safe, adored, and included in everyday life. If you’re searching for a loyal companion who will adore you quietly, deeply, and wholeheartedly, Romeo is ready to write the next chapter of his love story with you. Come meet him and see if the spark is there.Medical History: Romeo does have some seasonal allergies and two masses on top of his head that will need to continue to be monitored in the future (believed to be benign cysts). It is always a good idea to introduce Rom

Story
Kallen Rua is being fostered in TN. Kallen Rua ( cowl-lawn roo_ah) lives up to her Irish name as a brave warrior and a strong ginger haired girl!!! At 8.5 weeks she has the biggest personality, she is playful and LOVES her toys, she is absolutely adorable and so smart. She is potty training really well and loves praise. She is 10000% a lap puppy and was bottle fed so all she wants is to cuddle and be held and kissed. She is fantastic with the foster mom's two dogs ( although she is too young to really play and interact yet) and shows only gentle interest in cats. She has yet to meet a person she has not loved or a lap she does not want to be in. Kallen is a typical puppy, curious about everything, playful, and absolutely full of mischief. She doesn't walk...she leaps from place to place exploding with joy... and every adventure is better than the next as far as she is concerned. She has no fear and shows no issues with her limited vision. She does not run into anything and can see well enough to navigate her world perfectly. Foster home is currently crate training and working on basic commands. She is so smart and only wants to please!!! BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.

Story
Hope is being fostered in LA. Hope is a sweet and happy girl. She does have some vision loss. Hope is fit, healthy and a very loyal pup full of energy and love. She is ready to fill your days with adventure and nights with cuddling. Hope is looking for a daytime exercise partner with whom she can run, play with toys, engage in games of catch, tug of war and sometimes long silly leaps just for fun. In the evening a snuggle buddy is in order so she can cuddle close with her head on the lap of her human. Hope is very loyal and loving to her person. This sweetheart is well behaved and very likeable. She does well on a leash and is really great about going to her kennel when asked. Hope enjoys meeting new people and they, her. She is so adored at the vets office that they treat her like the “Belle of the Ball” giving her all kinds of special attention and loving. Hope, with all her positive qualities is still a youngster and often doesn’t know her own strength, so she can sometimes play rough. Slow introductions would be best. She plays well with most dogs, but prefers unassertive canine friends and would do well in a home without small children or cats. (Transports within 18 hours travel time are available to approved adopter.) BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.
