She’s never been outside because she was born an indoor cat.. but only limited to one room in my house. Folks under my roof are unfortunately allergic. Since starting college, I haven’t had a ton of time to get to know or enjoy her as intended. Just the standard feeding and potty portion of owning a pet. I just want her to be with an owner or family that loves and cares for her, wholeheartedly. Or for pets in general. Whether it be for emotional or social support, she deserves intentional time, positive attention/praise and relationships with other people/pets. She has tons of energy as a 1 yr old, likes to climb, chase, play. She also likes to eatttt and her favorite is Mcdonald’s. Nuggets and fries. Paw-lickin good lol. She’s not a fan of a crowded room and does okay around strangers. She gets shy at first but then comes around. Affectionate but not overly, only when she’s in heat but that obvious. She nibbles on you when she’s comfortable and isolates herself when she’s not.

​Lyla is a 5-year-old spayed brown tabby with a strong, independent personality. She came to me as a stray, and while I got her vaccinated and fixed, her time on the streets left her pretty feral. I’ve given her all the love, patience, and space possible, but indoor life in a full house is just too much for her. ​With a heavy heart, I’ve accepted that I can no longer keep her. Lyla gets very stressed and territorial around children and other pets, showing her anxiety by picking fights, scratching when people get too close, and peeing outside the box. She isn't a bad cat she’s just deeply overwhelmed and desperate for peace. ​Her Ideal Home: ​Only Pet: Must be the only animal so she doesn't feel threatened or territorial. ​Adults-Only: A quiet, low-stress spot without kids. ​Patient Owner: Someone who respects semi-feral boundaries, won't force affection, and lets her exist on her own terms. ​Despite her feisty side, Lyla deserves a safe, quiet home where she can finally relax.

Thank you for your interest in adopting. Daphne lives in Alabama Foster Home and will transport to New England when she is Adopted. Foster families FaceTime, or video chat with the Approved applicant so that you can learn about your pet in real time before you receive it. Daphne is approximately four months old and weighs about 4 pounds. She spayed, rabies, microchip, FVRCP and Booster, dewormed, FIV/feline leukemia, negative, and she receives monthly parasite prevention. Daphne would do well paired with another kitten, although she does not have to go to a home with a cat. She has been exposed to gentle and loving dogs. $275 adoption fee includes transportation and a health check and certificate from a licensed veterinarian before the trip.
