Story
Joy is the sweetest, laziest dog. She is great with people and kids and does well with some, but not all, dogs. She likes short walks as she tires easily, and is very low maintenance. She would rather to lounge on the couch with you than play hours of fetch! She is the best dog, but our insurance will no longer insure our home if we have pit bulls.

Story
Meet Liam! Liam is a big goofball and an even bigger cuddle bug. He always wants to be part of the action, and LOVES to be by his people. He loves to curl up on the couch and be a lap dog… despite being 75 lbs. While in foster care Liam has been working on his house-training, crate training, basic commands and walking on a leash. We guess he's about 3 years old. Liam is a big love bug with a lot of love to give! He loves to play with stuffed toys, but will go bonkers for a bone! He also enjoys peanut butter kongs as a nice treat. Liam loves to give and receive big hugs from his favorite humans. Liam previously lived nicely with other big dogs, but after a long time in a very stressful shelter he started to get over-excited at dogs behind barriers. He is working on this while in foster care and has already made good progress. He has met a couple cats as well in foster care. He does not have a high prey drive, but he also is still learning how to interact with them. He likely did not live with cats previously. Liam has been neutered, microchipped and is up to date on his vaccinations. Bring home this goofball to his forever family today! Liam is a collaboration between our rescue and Better World Rescue in Tracy, CA info@betterworldrescue.org- email them or contact us. Interested in meeting Liam? Story
Meet Duke- Senior Pittie! Duke was pulled from a shelter in Los Angeles. He was the longest living resident of the shelter and had quite a few people networking him. We were able to find a foster and so we saved him from euthanasia on the last day he had to live. Duke is a super sweet dude, and since he is originally from Sothern California, he has not lost that chill vibe. Duke is an 8 year old Staffordshire terrier mix. He loves nothing more than to spend time and be petted by pretty much anyone. With his mellow personalitym he doesn't require much exercise, but he does currently walk the block four times a day with an occasional break in a grassy shady spot. He LOVES people so much, he tries to hang back on our walks if he sees someone familiar or new so he can say hello. Duke is crate trained. He sleeps thru the night and is quiet but will let you know if he needs to go outside. He's a mellow coach potato and would love to watch movies with you. Duke loves car rides and the occasional pup cup from your favorite coffee drive thru. He may also do fine with respectful kids. Duke is on medication for arthritis, but otherwise no health issues. He is living with quite a few dogs, but is not interacting with them. We would prefer he be the only dog, so he can be showered with undivided love and attention for his golden years. Interested in meeting Duke and giving him a pampered life in his golden years? Story
Courtesy Post - this is not a Resilient Dog Rescue Dog. We are assisting owner with rehoming. Hello! My name is Remi Rae and I’m a handsome, easy-going guy. Although I often look quite serious in my photos, I have a silly side and happily indulge my foster mom when she makes me bear the indignity of wearing costumes and clothes. Also, I’m the best wiggle butt greeter there is! Quick Facts: My foster mom did my DNA and I am: 21.6% American Staffordshire Terrier 21.6% American Bully 7.8% Labrador Retriever 7.2% American Bulldog 4.8% Border Collie Gender: Male Age: 2 ½ years old (a/o Dec 2023) Size: 75 pounds Good with dogs: I need to work on my socialization skills. I live with my sister but she and I have been butting heads for a while. My Mom and Dad split up, and we're having a hard time. Good with cats: I have never been around a cat but if they are anything like a squirrel, I would probably chase them Good with kids: I have been around kids older than 12 years and I did great with them. I have never been around any younger kids. History: My mom adopted me from Front Street Animal Shelter in July of 2022. My sister and I were found on the streets and brought in together. Personality: I’m a pretty mellow guy. My day starts about 6 am when Grandma feeds me breakfast. I like kibble with wet food and a little cottage cheese mixed in. Then she makes me rest for an hour before I can go outside to do my business. I enjoy a good walk but I like to pull and sometimes I bark at other dogs. I need some work on that. I can sit and laydown and I’m really good at coming in the house when my name is called. I love these cookies that my mom buys. I like to take them to my bed and munch them up. Sometimes my mom will give me a chip or a piece of popcorn but I don’t understand how to eat them. I just put them in my mouth but then I drop them because they are weird. I would rather a piece of salami or a piece of cheese. When we play outside in the backyard, I prefer frisbees over balls. I have a fascination with the water hose. Sometimes when my mom waters the trees I try and eat the water that squirts out. After we play for a while, I like to lay in the sun on my Kuranda bed. My Grandma makes me come in and take a nap during the day which is great because I love to nap on the couch or on my dog bed. I eat dinner around 5 pm and my mom, again, makes me wait an hour before I can go outside to do my business. Something about me running around with food in belly and my stomach twisting? I dunno, she said it’s for my own good so I just listen to her. In the evening we usually lounge on the couch and watch T.V. My mom will rub my belly which I LOVE! She’s a good belly rubber. After that it’s time for bed on my dog bed. I have not been crate trained but I like my dog bed. Favorite Activities: • Eating • Running Around the Yard • Going for Walks • Napping • Getting Belly Rubs I am looking for a new home because my sister and I just don’t get along anymore. I am the more mellow of the two of us. She is high strung and just gets on my nerves so we have had a few spats. I don’t want to fight with her anymore and since I am so easy going my mom thinks it would be easier to find me a quiet, loving home than to find my sister another home. If you're looking for an easy-going, loving guy who just wants some peace and quiet and a warm, safe place to lay his head - oh, and maybe a belly rub from time to time - then I’m your guy! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Norah is approximately 7 months old. She came from the Stockton shelter where one of our RPNC volunteers first heard about her and started fostering her. Norah was a medical foster due to her having a prolapsed rectum. She's had two surgeries to repair her colon and after a long recovery period Norah is ready to find her forever home. Norah will need to stay on special food through her life and it will be important for her new family to understand her medical condition. There is a possibility that she will need to have another surgery by a specialist. However, her foster has been able to control her condition with diet and we are hopeful her new family will be able to do the same. Norah is a typical 6 month old puppy. She loves to play, play, play. She currently lives with 2 other dogs; a younger dog and an older dog. She does great with both. Plays with the younger dog and respects the older dog. She also lives with a cat, that she likes to chase. We think with boundaries and more training she could live with a dog savvy cat. She loves all peoples. She is house and crate trained but is still learning the command "go to bed" to go into her crate on command and she is still learning the basics such as sit. Altough Norah is your typical active puppy, she can also chill out and chew on a nyla bone for hours. Norah would be a fantastic addition to any family. She is one of those dogs that fits in with everyone. Story
Copper is a super sweet dog that loves people and kids. He enjoys snuggling on the couch and exploring outside. We got Copper and his brother about a year ago when they were 5 months old after they were found abandoned. We've been doing some training with them, but we're seeing some leash reactivity and dog aggression on walks now and we feel that Copper needs a different environment, one that we can't provide for him. Copper would do well in a home/family in which he is the only dog. And a big backyard in which he can run and play would be ideal.
