Story
Meet Henrietta, a darling little gal with a sparkling personality and a heart full of love! Henrietta is bright, friendly, and seems to adore everyone she meets. As a playful puppy, she’s full of energy, but she settles down nicely after some exercise. She’s smart, eager to learn, and is already working on her manners. One of Henrietta’s biggest motivators is treats, making her a perfect candidate for training! She’s eager to please and ready to show off her skills with a little guidance. Henrietta arrived at the shelter in March 2025, and although she’s not yet spayed, she’s eligible for a "foster to adopt" arrangement for Nevada County residents and nearby areas. Once she’s spayed, she’ll be ready for her official adoption. If you’re looking for a playful, sweet, and trainable puppy, Henrietta might just be the perfect fit for your home. Come meet her and see how she can light up your life!

Story
MEET LILY ~ Lily is a loving little girl. We are finally getting her listed for adoption though She’s been with us at the rescue since mid December after being found very pregnant and dumped with trash and old furniture on the side of the highway, She is so sweet and hopeful, she stayed right there in that trash heap until someone came along and rescued her. We were so full but just couldn’t let this loving little girl go to the shelter. She had her puppies December 18th. She did a great job and is now relieved of her parental duties. She will be spayed this week and is looking for her forever home. Lily really couldn’t be any sweeter or adorable. She aims to please and gets along with other dogs and random farm animals. She walks on a leash and will sleep in a crate no problem. Lily would love a family that will include her in activities and love her forever. Lily is now Spayed, vaccinated, dewormed and microchipped. If you believe Lily is your love match please send some information about yourselves and how Lily would spend her days with you along with a request for an adoption application to gooddogk9rescue@yahoo.com Thank you, Good Dog K9 Rescue Inc.

Story
Courtesy Post - this is not a Resilient Dog Rescue Dog. We are assisting owner with rehoming. Hello! My name is Remi Rae and I’m a handsome, easy-going guy. Although I often look quite serious in my photos, I have a silly side and happily indulge my foster mom when she makes me bear the indignity of wearing costumes and clothes. Also, I’m the best wiggle butt greeter there is! Quick Facts: My foster mom did my DNA and I am: 21.6% American Staffordshire Terrier 21.6% American Bully 7.8% Labrador Retriever 7.2% American Bulldog 4.8% Border Collie Gender: Male Age: 2 ½ years old (a/o Dec 2023) Size: 75 pounds Good with dogs: I need to work on my socialization skills. I live with my sister but she and I have been butting heads for a while. My Mom and Dad split up, and we're having a hard time. Good with cats: I have never been around a cat but if they are anything like a squirrel, I would probably chase them Good with kids: I have been around kids older than 12 years and I did great with them. I have never been around any younger kids. History: My mom adopted me from Front Street Animal Shelter in July of 2022. My sister and I were found on the streets and brought in together. Personality: I’m a pretty mellow guy. My day starts about 6 am when Grandma feeds me breakfast. I like kibble with wet food and a little cottage cheese mixed in. Then she makes me rest for an hour before I can go outside to do my business. I enjoy a good walk but I like to pull and sometimes I bark at other dogs. I need some work on that. I can sit and laydown and I’m really good at coming in the house when my name is called. I love these cookies that my mom buys. I like to take them to my bed and munch them up. Sometimes my mom will give me a chip or a piece of popcorn but I don’t understand how to eat them. I just put them in my mouth but then I drop them because they are weird. I would rather a piece of salami or a piece of cheese. When we play outside in the backyard, I prefer frisbees over balls. I have a fascination with the water hose. Sometimes when my mom waters the trees I try and eat the water that squirts out. After we play for a while, I like to lay in the sun on my Kuranda bed. My Grandma makes me come in and take a nap during the day which is great because I love to nap on the couch or on my dog bed. I eat dinner around 5 pm and my mom, again, makes me wait an hour before I can go outside to do my business. Something about me running around with food in belly and my stomach twisting? I dunno, she said it’s for my own good so I just listen to her. In the evening we usually lounge on the couch and watch T.V. My mom will rub my belly which I LOVE! She’s a good belly rubber. After that it’s time for bed on my dog bed. I have not been crate trained but I like my dog bed. Favorite Activities: • Eating • Running Around the Yard • Going for Walks • Napping • Getting Belly Rubs I am looking for a new home because my sister and I just don’t get along anymore. I am the more mellow of the two of us. She is high strung and just gets on my nerves so we have had a few spats. I don’t want to fight with her anymore and since I am so easy going my mom thinks it would be easier to find me a quiet, loving home than to find my sister another home. If you're looking for an easy-going, loving guy who just wants some peace and quiet and a warm, safe place to lay his head - oh, and maybe a belly rub from time to time - then I’m your guy! Story
Meet Liam! Liam is a big goofball and an even bigger cuddle bug. He always wants to be part of the action, and LOVES to be by his people. He loves to curl up on the couch and be a lap dog… despite being 75 lbs. While in foster care Liam has been working on his house-training, crate training, basic commands and walking on a leash. We guess he's about 3 years old. Liam is a big love bug with a lot of love to give! He loves to play with stuffed toys, but will go bonkers for a bone! He also enjoys peanut butter kongs as a nice treat. Liam loves to give and receive big hugs from his favorite humans. Liam previously lived nicely with other big dogs, but after a long time in a very stressful shelter he started to get over-excited at dogs behind barriers. He is working on this while in foster care and has already made good progress. He has met a couple cats as well in foster care. He does not have a high prey drive, but he also is still learning how to interact with them. He likely did not live with cats previously. Liam has been neutered, microchipped and is up to date on his vaccinations. Bring home this goofball to his forever family today! Liam is a collaboration between our rescue and Better World Rescue in Tracy, CA info@betterworldrescue.org- email them or contact us. Interested in meeting Liam? Story
Meet Duke- Senior Pittie! Duke was pulled from a shelter in Los Angeles. He was the longest living resident of the shelter and had quite a few people networking him. We were able to find a foster and so we saved him from euthanasia on the last day he had to live. Duke is a super sweet dude, and since he is originally from Sothern California, he has not lost that chill vibe. Duke is an 8 year old Staffordshire terrier mix. He loves nothing more than to spend time and be petted by pretty much anyone. With his mellow personalitym he doesn't require much exercise, but he does currently walk the block four times a day with an occasional break in a grassy shady spot. He LOVES people so much, he tries to hang back on our walks if he sees someone familiar or new so he can say hello. Duke is crate trained. He sleeps thru the night and is quiet but will let you know if he needs to go outside. He's a mellow coach potato and would love to watch movies with you. Duke loves car rides and the occasional pup cup from your favorite coffee drive thru. He may also do fine with respectful kids. Duke is on medication for arthritis, but otherwise no health issues. He is living with quite a few dogs, but is not interacting with them. We would prefer he be the only dog, so he can be showered with undivided love and attention for his golden years. Interested in meeting Duke and giving him a pampered life in his golden years? Story
Shelby started out with our family as an abandoned puppy found in a box in a Southern California neighborhood. Saved by a friend and we decided to foster her for a while until we could find her a good home. Well life got busy and we’ve had her for 4.5 years. 2 kids later and we are needing to find her forever home due to progressive and worsening allergies of our kids and mom, preventing us from giving her the best life she deserves. She’s still a happy doggy, running around and playing in the house occasionally, but not as much as she deserves due to the allergies. We are looking for a home for her ready for a high energy, highly loving puppy, (she will be 5 around September.) she is caring and careful with children, non-aggressive towards cats and other dogs, and plays well at dog parks. Crate/house trained, leash trained, and has completed multiple private on leash trainings. She’s the perfect dog for a loving family, ready to fill in that missing spot.
