Story
Hubbell is a wonderful dog. He's 6.5 and about as chill as can be. I had him for about 2 days before my landlord informed me she is selling our house, and we have had to make the unfortunate decision to re-home him. I didn't want him back at the shelter so we still have him, but we are also still getting to know him! Hubbell loves everyone he meets. He really just wants to snuggle. He's gentle taking treats and has been good around small children so far. He does okay on a leash, and would improve with a little training. Currently, his walks are short as he is being treated for heartworm. He has about 3 months left of his monthly treatment, and I have meds to send with him. He also does well in his kennel and I have a kennel, a bed, a leash and harness to donate, as well as any food or treats I have left. We haven't tested him with other dogs. The shelter said he was shy in play groups, and on walks he seems to want to play. Unsure of cats.

** Adoption Fee Waived **Meet Georgia, a 3-year-old Boxer mix who came in as a stray and is ready to start her happily-ever-after!In playgroups, she has been social with other dogs, though she would do best in a home without small dogs or cats. Because of her spirited personality, Georgia would need to meet any children in the home, and she may thrive best with older kids who can join her in her playful adventures.Georgia is a goofy, sweet girl with a big personality and an even bigger heart. She may have a major pouty face, but it’s the complete opposite of who she is—this girl is full of joy, love, and playful energy. She absolutely loves attention and just wants to be near her people whenever she can.She can be a little excited when first meeting you, but she settles quickly and is happy to enjoy your company, whether that’s soaking up pets or heading out for a nice, leisurely stroll. Georgia is also food motivated, knows “sit,” and would love to keep learning with her future family.Georgia is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and ready for a loving forever home. Come meet this fun-loving girl and see just how special she is!

Story
Meet Freya Freya is an 6-month-old female Boxer/Pit mix puppy who is smart, playful, and full of potential. She does well with other dogs and would thrive in a home with older children who can respect puppy boundaries. Freya is very intelligent and eager to learn, and she’ll do best with an adopter ready to continue training. She would benefit from a secure yard with a tall, solid (non–chain link) fence so she can safely burn off energy and explore. Freya has already had bilateral cherry eye surgery and is doing well, with no special care needed beyond routine vet care. She’s a bright, loving pup ready to grow into an amazing companion with the right family. **Freya has poultry sensitivity and will need to be on a lamb, beef, or salmon based food*** If you are interested in meeting Freya, please fill out an application via our website at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/TRP/Dog and we will get back to you via email once your application has been reviewed. If you have further questions please feel free to reach out to us at adoptionstrp@gmail.com. Freya's adoption fee is $250 and includes age-appropriate vaccines, spay, microchip, deworm, and cherry eye surgery on both eyes.

Pet Location: Wayside Waifs CampusMy Friends at Wayside say: - I`m a sweet and gentle girl who would love a couch to snooze on!- I have successfully lived with cats in my previous home. - My previous owner said that I am house-trained and crate-trained.- I already know some basic commands!- I am eligible for a Slumber Pawty, a 7-10 day in-home trial period. Please visit our website for additional information. My home needs are: - I must meet other dogs in the home before adoption to ensure that we can be buddies. Please arrive at the shelter before 4pm on our open adoption days so we can meet!- I need a home with kids 6 years old and older since I tend to be nervous around new people and loud noises. - If you have kids in the home 9 years old and younger, I will need to meet them since I can be nervous around new people and loud noises. - New people and things make me a little nervous. Wayside recommends that I have a low traffic home.Hi, I’m Beth!I’m a shy girl who needs a little extra patience and understanding while I get comfortable in a new home. I’m smart and food-motivated, and I already know some basic commands, which makes learning new things fun for me! I can be a bit sensitive to touch, so it’s best to ask the staff for more details on how to make me feel safe and happy. My previous owner told the staff that I’m both house-trained and crate-trained, so I already know some important ways to live in a home.I do best in a calm environment, because new people, loud noises, and new things can make me nervous. I would love a home where I can take things at my own pace and feel safe exploring at my own comfort level. I’m also very interested in making friends with other dogs, so it’s important to meet any furry family members before adoption. If there are kids in the home 9 and under, I’ll need to meet them first too, since I can get nervous around new people and busy activity. If you have a low-traffic home and are willing to go slow with me, I’ll reward you with loyalty, love, and a little sweetness that grows every day. I’m ready to find someone who understands me, gives me confidence, and lets me bloom into the best version of myself. With patience, treats, and gentle guidance, I know I can be a happy, loving companion for the right person... Could that be you?Love, Beth

Story
Meet Harrah! Harrah is playful and gentle. When on a leash for a walk she doesn't pull and is obedient to the handler. While in the office, where we keep some cats in kennels, she shy's away from them and shows no aggression. She almost seems afraid of cats. Come and meet this loving playful dog and I think you will fall in love with her.

Story
Meet Diamond – A Shining Soul with a Heart of Gold Diamond is a stunning 4-year-old black Pit Bull/Lab mix whose story is as powerful as her name. When she was rescued, Diamond had endured severe neglect and abuse — she was skin and bones, missing patches of fur, and had lost faith in people. But with love, patience, and care, this beautiful girl has blossomed into a happy, playful companion with a dazzling smile and sleek black coat. Diamond is crate trained and has never had an accident indoors. She sleeps soundly through the night in a crate, but she’d much prefer to curl up in bed next to her person. Once she feels safe, her playful and goofy personality shines through — she loves walks, plays with toys, and has the most endearing zoomies. She’s also learning to enjoy human affection, and her foster mom has worked hard to help her learn that human touch can be kind. Diamond would do best as the only pet in an adult-only home. She is not cat-friendly and can be unpredictable with other dogs. Her ideal adopter will respect her need for slow introductions and structure. Because of her past, food is a valuable resource for Diamond and should be managed with care. Like many young dogs, she can still be a bit mouthy when excited, but she listens beautifully when told to calm down or redirects to a toy. Once Diamond trusts you, you’ll see just how special she is — her loyalty runs deep, and her goofy grin will melt your heart every day. She is proof that love and patience can heal old wounds, and she’s ready to find the person who will let her sparkle forever. Could you be the one to give Diamond her forever home and show her what unconditional love truly feels like? Diamond is eligible for our Foster-to-Adopt program, which means you can take some time to get to know her in your home before finalizing the adoption. It’s a great way to ensure the perfect fit! ----------------------------------------- If you’re interested in adopting, please apply online at mscrescue.org/adopt. Story
Meet Dia (Diamond) 🤍 | 5-Year-Old Pit Bull Terrier Mix Dia is a beautiful, all-white girl with a big heart and a loyal spirit. After spending several years in a home with a family, she’s now looking for a fresh start where she can once again be a devoted companion. Dia has lived as an indoor dog and is crate trained, comfortable being left alone, and used to a home routine. She has also done very well with children and previously lived with kids as young as two years old, showing a gentle and patient side with her family. This sweet girl weighs around 70–80 pounds and has overcome some medical challenges in the past, including surgery on both knees (similar to ACL repairs in people). Despite that, she’s continued to live a happy, active life and is ready to share her love with a new family. Dia came back to rescue after experiencing some stress and changes in her previous home. Based on her recent history with other dogs, Dia will do best as the only dog in the household where she can enjoy a calm, stable environment and soak up all the attention from her people. Her experience with cats is unknown. Dia is: • 🤍 Loyal and affectionate with her people • 🏡 Used to indoor home life • 🛏 Crate trained and comfortable when left alone • 👧 Great with children • 🐾 Best suited as the only dog in the home • 💪 A resilient girl who’s overcome past knee surgeries Dia is looking for a stable, loving home where she can settle in, rebuild her confidence, and be someone’s faithful companion again. Dia is eligible for our Foster-to-Adopt program, which means you can take some time to get to know Dia in your home before finalizing the adoption. It is a great way to ensure the perfect fit! If you’re searching for a devoted dog who will bond closely with her family and bring love to your home, Dia may be the perfect match. 🐾 ----------------------------------------- If you’re interested in adopting, please apply online at mscrescue.org/adopt. Story
Meet Lily — the definition of laid-back, loving, and completely devoted to her people Lily is a big, goofy bulldog mix with velvety-soft fur and an even softer heart. She’s one of those rare dogs who is equal parts chill companion and full-body-wiggle greeter — happy to lounge by your side but so excited to see you every single time you walk in the room. 💛 Lily’s Personality If you’re looking for a dog who truly loves people — Lily is your girl. She is incredibly social and forms deep bonds with her humans. Whether it’s her favorite volunteers, shelter staff, her furlough foster, or THE Melissa (Aunt Melissa) — Lily lights up when she sees “her people.” Her excitement is unmatched, and her love is constant. At home, she’s the easiest kind of companion: ✔ Potty trained ✔ Not destructive when left out (just don’t leave treats within reach 😉) ✔ Well-behaved and low-maintenance in the home ✔ Can do great if you work outside the home She’s laid-back, content to relax while you’re gone, and happiest just being near you when you’re home. She doesn’t ask for much — just love, consistency, and a spot by your side. Of course, she still has her fun side — she loves stuffed toys, will happily roll around like a goofball, and thinks a kiddie pool is the best invention ever. 🩺 Medical Needs Lily has allergies that are well-managed with: ✔ Routine allergy injections ✔ A specific diet for skin sensitivities These are important for keeping her comfortable and feeling her best, and her adopter will need to stay consistent with both. 🏡 Lily’s Ideal Home ✔ Dog and cat free home ✔ Someone looking for a loyal, people-focused companion ✔ Commitment to her medical needs and diet ✔ A home where she can be part of your everyday life ✨ Why You’ll Love Lily Lily is the kind of dog who doesn’t just live in your home — she becomes your person (and expects you to be hers). She is easy to care for, incredibly well-behaved, and endlessly loving. When she has her people and the right environment, she absolutely thrives — and watching her love her humans as hard as she does is something really special. She is eligible for our Foster-to-Adopt program, so you can get to know her in your home and make sure it’s the perfect fit. ----------------------------------------- If you’re interested in adopting, please apply online at mscrescue.org/adopt.
