Story
Look at this handsome fella! This is Buddy! He was the product of being dumped, but that doesn't define him! This boy LOVES big! He is very playful and smart! He LOVES toys, most especially his KONG (with peanut butter) and his squeaky toy! He loves to watch TV, hang out on the couch, or by the pool. He is not at all aggressive and he leans into you for love. He is fine with other dogs, curious of the resident cat, but doesn't bother him. Buddy is 2-3 years old. He is up to date on vaccines and has just completed heartworm treatment. He is now neutered and microchipped. He was a fan favorite at the vets office! He is hesitant about getting in the car and it takes some coaxing, but this is the fear of being dumped, again. This will take time, but he will build confidence, there. Homer is crate trained and working on housetraining, as he will mark, if he smells another male dog in the house. He would be fine as an only dog too. Buddy is scared of men. He will not be placed in a home where there is a man. His ideal home is a retired family or an active family. He's a couch potato and lounger... but he can run and play with the best of them too! Buddy is one of the sweetest pitties we have ever come across! He deserves happiness too! Forever. To be considered for adoption, please go to our website and complete the adoption application. https://acfrescue.weebly.com/adoption-foster-and-volunteer-applications.html The adoption fee is $100. This covers his vet exam, all vaccines, heartworm test, prevention, neuter and chip.

Story
Tank just turned 4, on May 2 and is the sweetest cuddle button! He loves to go on long walks, play tug and cuddle. I believe he would do quite well with agility training/courses. He doesn't like his front paws to be touched, too much; goes ballistic when he hears the typical loud noises (like thunder and fireworks) but I just hold him and let him see where the noise is comin from. He loves people but not good with cats or small dogs (okay with big dogs, like him)!! He would do very well with an active family. He’s such an intuitive and loving dog. Why am i surrendering him? I lost my husband, in an accident, last year and I just can't care for 2 dogs, especially one as energetic as Tank. All I ask, is that you pinky-promise to love him and take extremely good care of him. He’s worth it!

Story
Sadie is a 13 year old large breed dog who is looking for a quiet, loving home to spend her golden years. She has been a deeply loved companion her whole life, but due to her owner moving into assisted living, she now needs a new place to land. She would do best in a calm, low-traffic home where she can relax and feel safe. About Sadie: • Age: 13 years • Size: Large • Health: Overall healthy, not currently on medications • Mobility: Mild arthritis; prefers minimal stairs • Activity level: Low • Personality: Gentle, calm, affectionate Sadie enjoys short walks outside but is happiest resting in a cozy spot and receiving head pets. She has a quiet, soulful presence and would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a relaxed, easygoing dog. Other pets: Sadie can do well with calm dogs but may feel overwhelmed by younger or high-energy dogs. She may also be happiest as the only pet in the home. Sponsorship: We are pleased to announce that Sadie’s veterinary bills will be partially covered by Vintage Fur Senior Dogs Inc! Sadie will receive $600 every year in veterinary coverage for the rest of her life. This money may be used for medical treatments including prescription medication, bloodwork, imaging and more. To learn more about the sponsorship, please contact Fairytale Farm Rescue & Sanctuary or visit https://www.vintagefur.org Sadie isn’t looking for much. Just a quiet place, a soft bed, and someone to sit beside her. If you have room in your heart and home for a senior dog, Sadie would love to meet you. Every fairytale needs a hero... maybe this one is you.

Story
Our beautiful Gracie Ann... what can we tell you about her in this short bio? She was found some months back, dumped in a grocery store parking lot. Alone and scared. No idea why she was dumped, no idea what she had done wrong to be deserted. One of our rescue partners called us and we jumped into action! While, we normally cannot take dogs larger than 35#, we couldn't say "no". She needed us! Gracie joined the pack of one of our fabulous fosters and fell into the role of loving life, indoors and warm! When Gracie came to us, we thought she was pregnant. Her stomach was full like she was ready to give birth. We waited. No puppies. She ate a lot.... still no puppies. We took her to the vet and confirmed, not pregnant but was in heat. Her foster mom would be out of town for a few weeks, and we would have her spayed when she returned. Gracie started losing weight rapidly. We rushed her to the vet and found out that she had pyometra. This is life or death! One vet wanted to put her to sleep because the procedure is so costly! For a rescue, $5k is a lot to absorb! We got a second opinion and are so glad that we did! Our vet gave us hope! Gracie had the surgery that afternoon and it was touch and go for a while. She stayed in the hospital for days. Today, she is fully healthy! Her bloodwork is perfect! Gracie is 2 years old.. She is up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative and on prevention. She is spayed and chipped. Gracie is housetrained and can be trusted outside of a crate. She is such a great dog! She will do best in a home with another dog as she LOVES to play, and we do not feel that placing her without a companion is in her best interest. If you have room in your home and your heart for this sweetheart of a girl, please complete the adoption application, below: https://acfrescue.weebly.com/adoption-foster-and-volunteer-applications.html Adoption fee: $100
