Story
Jayce has had a rough start, but you would not know it when you meet him. He lived his life on a chain, he almost lost his life after being attacked by another dog which is when he came into our care. Jayce went from living on a chain, to a kennel for a few months and now he has freedom and he LOVES it!! He enjoys finding a cool place to rest, he ABSOLUTELY loves toys! He is often found with a toy in his mouth, he tosses them and entertains himself. He enjoys a leisurely walk and then is ready for more relaxing. Jayce may seem intimidating with his deep bass bark, but he will wag his tail along with his whole body just as quickly once he sees you. He is an enthusiastic and affectionate boy. Jayce gets along well with female dogs (as long as they aren't overly dominant). He is a pretty laid back guy that is just so happy to be in the moment. He could stand to learn not to jump when excited but otherwise he is a perfect gentleman. Jayce has been waiting to go home for 8 months for someone to pick him. He is a solid guy, weighing around 60 lbs. His ideal family would be one without small children as he has not had the opportunity to meet them. **************PLEASE READ THIS FOR NEXT STEPS**************** COMPLETED APPLICATIONS TAKE PRECEDENCE OVER INQUIRIES. Story
Luke was adopted from a rescue organization as a puppy in 2019. According to a test on his brother, he is a mix of American staffordshire terrier, bulldog, lab, and a mix of hound and terrier breeds. He is very sweet in many ways and does not require lengthy periods of exercise. In fact, he can be pretty lazy and gets tired after 15-20 minutes of play. We hoped he would spend his entire life with us, but unfortunately he has not adapted well after we had our first child and with a second on the way we feel it is best for him to find a new home. He has never bitten a human, but has shown some dominance and aggression towards our toddler. He has not had issues with older children or adults and is very popular with older kids. He got a bit traumatized by another dog as a young puppy and is hit or miss with other dogs.We think he would make a good companion for someone who can give him a home setting better suited to him and want to be sure he will be happy in his new home.
