Check out Colton's new video!!! Colton is such a love bug, and super cute too! He was found as a stray tied to a pole in Philadelphia by a good samaritan and as you can imagine, was very, very scared. He was taken to a high kill shelter where he was on death row because he was so frightened. Wouldn't you be too if you were left tied to a pole and taken to a noisy shelter? The Central PA Animal Alliance saved Colton's life, although we did not have a foster home waiting for him. So, he's been in a boarding kennel near Reading, PA for almost a year, waiting for his happily ever after. Colton has really come out of his shell and is no longer scared! He's about 3-4 years old, loves to go on walks and play ball, but he can also be a couch potato and would love to be your TV-watching buddy! Colton would be fine with teenaged children, but no small children, as he might jump and inadvertently hurt them. Long-term boarding is not good for any dog. Colton desperately needs a foster home or a forever home to call his own, with a soft bed, plenty of treats, and exercise. Colton is a strong boy--about 60 pounds--so his best home would be with a family that has large dog experience. He also wants to be your one and only pet, so that you can devote all your attention to him! He also needs a home that will be committed to continue with his training to help him be the best dog he can be. The rescue will provide FREE training to help Colton adjust to his new home. Colton is in good health overall, but he does have skin allergies that are controlled with fish oil supplements and coconut oil. If you think that Colton would be a good fit for you, please fill out the adoption application at https://www.hopedogs.org/adoption-application/?pet_id=159. And don't forget to check out his awesome new video!

Story
Hi everyone! My name is Prince. I live like a prince in my foster home, but I need to find a home of my very own. I am a mixed breed (probably some Bully/Boxer in me), about three years old, and a very chill dude. To be honest, I’m a tank. I may not look it, but I weight about 80 pounds. I am a low rider with short legs. If I don't say so myself, I am super cute! I love to roll around on the floor, but my legs are so short that my foster mom says that I look like a flopping fish. I like leisurely walks. I love to snuggle in bed and just relax. I might be fine with female dogs that are larger than me as long as they don’t hurt me, but I'm probably best as an only dog. I am NOT a fan of cats or other small critters. An adult-only home is best for me. I am slow to warm up to new people, so my best home would be a quiet one with not a lot of people coming and going. So, a home without kids would be best for me. I would do best in a one or two person home. If you don’t have a lot of energy either, I might be the perfect match for you! Can’t wait to meet you to see if we’re a match for each other! WOOF! To apply to foster or adopt me, go to https://www.hopedogs.org/adoption-application/?animal_name=Prince

Story
Meet Sweeeeeeettt Caroline! She is truly a sweetheart and loves to stand up and dance to greet everyone she meets. Caroline was surrendered when her previous owners moved and couldn't take her with them. She is ready to find her forever home that will love her like she will love them. Caroline is very eager to greet people and can pull and be a bit jumpy in her excitement. She is extremely athletic and is able to jump up to give face kisses. We think Caroline would be an amazing running partner or agility dog! She is very smart; we know she can be trained to learn proper manners on how to greet people. Besides loving up on her people, Caroline's favorite thing is to play ball. She will chase any kind of ball she can find. If she can't find a ball, she'll pick up another dog toy and carry it with her everywhere - even on walks! Caroline hopes to find a family that is as active as she is to play with her and let her explore. Good times will never seem as good if you don't have Caroline by your side. Caroline does have a prey drive, so she will need a home without cats or other small critters. She has never lived with other pets in a home, so we do not know if she would like living with another dog. We may consider adopters with another dog if they have experience with integrating a new dog into their home safely. Caroline will need a home without young children, but older teens that are dog savvy should be fine. If you are interested in meeting Caroline, please complete an application on our website: www.crcpa.org

Story
This is Reggie…he is the sweetest 5-6 year old boy and everyone who meets him thinks so. I recently moved 100 miles away and during the move and transition he has struggled. He needs stability and to be in a home without other dogs. I have had Reggie for 2.5 years, so much work put in to gain his trust and love. He is house trained, walks well on a leash, is non-reactive to other dogs while walking, loves car rides, wants to be with his human 24-7, loves his cuddles, belly rubs, commands known; sit, down, paw (left and right), heel, stop, walk, leave it and of course no. He loves to play with toys, is not a chewer. He loves to cuddle up with you on the couch. Is crate trained and recommended when you leave the house. This is the hardest decision I have ever made, this boy will always have my heart. I have an 8 year old female Pitt, they have been inseparable since I got Reggie. He has started fights with her since the move and isn’t fair to either of them. Please message me for more.

Tajiri is a beautiful 2 year old female staffy mix that is ready to meet her forever family!❤️ This cutie loves her foster siblings and kisses them through their crates waiting to play in the morning! She is full of sweetness and loves belly rubs, hugs and giving kisses! She is a super smarty, and she can open the screen door by using her paw to push it open when she wants to go outside to play. She even knows how to sit and lay down for treats!🐾 Everything about this girl is wonderful. She just wants to love and be loved! She is crate trained and will go in with a little coaxing, and already walks pretty well on a leash too! She is an energetic girl but settles down well when her humans need her to. PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.   JACKSON This cute little guy is part of a litter who was dumped in a remote area of Arkansas. Sadly, one of the siblings was run over by a car before they were rescued, and that puppy did not survive. We are glad to be able to help the remaining puppiesSince there was no mama with them, we don't know what breed they are. If we had to choose a breed, we would guess Boxer mix, but that is strictly a guess. All we know for sure is that they are incredibly adorable and oh so sweet! They are typical, friendly, sweet babies and should adjust well to most any family situation. Jackson and his siblings are about 8-9 weeks at this time, they have had 2 sets of puppy shots and will be spayed/neutered this upcoming week. They will be ready to transport the 1st week of June. Located in Arkansas, but transport is available. Adopter must be able to pick up or arrange for someone to pick up for them at one of the following times/locations. Harrisburg, PA 2am FridaysPort Jervis, NJ 5am Fridays Southington, CT 8am Fridays East Hartford, CT 11am Fridays To apply, please fill out the adoption app: https://form.jotform.com/212690945239059 email apps.aasr@gmail.com with any questions. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Our typical adoption fee for puppies younger than 6 months old is $400, and for older puppies and adults, the usual fee is $350. This includes microchip, spay/neuter,  up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. There is a transport fee of $125-$140 per dog, depending on the transporter. We use Pack Leaders Rescue Dog Transport most often, but also use Hearts Transport as well on occasion. For more info regarding adopting, email apps.aasr@gmail.com. Thank you for considering one of our rescue babies! June 6, 2023, 9:51 pm
