Story
Everyone meet Vito! This little cutie is a Mixed breed, 6 month, ~25lbs, male. He is very food motivated, which is helping with training. Vito is learning potty training, basic commands, and crate training. This cutie does well with other dogs! Vito currently doesn't live with cats or kids in his foster home. Vito is up to date with shots, neutered, and already chipped! His tail starts wagging with everyone he sees, and loves to cuddle you. He is being fostered in Mountville, PA. Please schedule a meet and greet to possibly take him home forever! New Oxford PA 17350; LIC #9736   We are PA Caring for K-9's, an all-breed dog rescue that is solely run by volunteers. Story
We’ve had Thor since he was 8 weeks old. He is a 6 years old and is the bestest boy. Except when kids and/or other animals come into the mix. Thor grew up to be a very insecure pup thanks to our oldest dog (now deceased) who constantly bullied him around causing them to have physical altercations. Thor no longer felt safe around any of our children either. He is amazing around adults, male and females, he just does not do well with children or animals. I do believe he can be rehabilitated from this, but unfortunately, our family do not have the means to be able to cover the cost of training. He loves snuggles and butt scratches, loves to play fetch and run around like the wild meatloaf he is. Beware of his hugs though! Being a meatloaf comes with downsides!

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.Harley is such a great dog! A note from his foster:  He’s perfectly well-behaved in the house. House-trained, gentle and happily goes into his crate at night or when asked. He’s smart and knows some commands. Seems to take satisfaction from pleasing humans, with just enough personality to make you laugh. He knows enough to test boundaries, but quickly course-corrects. This pup is grateful for getting the pets and is thrilled with the bully-rub.  He’s happy to nap by your feet during work calls, lay in the sun, and eager to go for walks. Good on a leash. Happy to sit for his harness and takes commands well when leaving the house. His prey drive is high — gets too excited about squirrels, most birds, other critters that scurry. He’s not well-suited for other dogs. Or cats.  He’s got some hound in his mix; loves to sniff and on the occasions when a siren would pass he would sing along. (Adorable.) Not a crazy barker, but can sound fierce when he does bark. He’s more of a gentle giant with humans. Did just fine with new people coming into the home. Sheds a lot!  Harley would live his best life in a home where he’s the only pet. A privacy-fenced yard to run free in would be nice, I suspect, but he’s seemingly just as happy to live in a city and go for walks a few times a day. Contact with other dogs would have to be limited.  He’s the perfect dog if you’re looking for a loyal best friend, and don’t have other pets.  Due to his being dog selective, we will only place Admiral in a home with childern 14 and older. If you are interested in Admiral, please contact: rorrcanine@gmail.com      *** Click here to sponsor this dog! *** Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 23, 2024, 12:37 am

Meet Kubo! This wonderful gentleman came to us as an owner surrender and is looking for a new family to love. Kubo is our shelter`s longest canine resident and he has been so patient waiting for someone to choose him. Kubo is always wagging and hapy to meet new people, and he loves to play a game of fetch or go for a leisurely walk around the lake. He knows how to sit, lay down, shake, and roll over and will always show it off when asked. He is such a special and loyal dog who has been waiting for too long. If you are interested in meeting him, please visit the shelter during our open hours; Mon, Tues, Wed, Fri 10a-12p & 2p-4p, Thurs 10a-12p & 2p-5:30p, and Saturday 9a-1p. Complete an adoption application online to be pre-approved for adoption. If you do not own your home, bring consent from the property owner to have a dog on the property. Story
Woof! Well, hello there! I'm Waddles, a seasoned lady with a heart as big as my jowls. Let me give you a glimpse into my world from my perspective:I'm what you might call a mature bulldog, having lived a life full of experiences. While my past might include some breeding days, I'm ready to leave that behind and embark on a new chapter of love and companionship. I may not be as sprightly as I once was, but that doesn't mean I'm ready to retire to the sidelines just yet! I still enjoy leisurely strolls around the block, where I can take in all the sights, sounds, and smells. And let's not forget about nap time - it's one of my favorite hobbies! I've got a calm and gentle demeanor that's perfect for cozy cuddle sessions on the couch. I'm a great listener, too, so feel free to pour your heart out to me - your secrets are safe with this wrinkly face!I'm seeking a forever home where I can finally kick back and relax in the comfort of a loving family. I've done my fair share of hard work in the past, and now I'm ready to be pampered and spoiled like the queen I am. I'd thrive in a calm environment with people who appreciate the wisdom that comes with age. I would also do best without and small kids (under 15). Special Needs: Bella is currently overweight and will need an adopter who is committed to helping her achieve a healthy weight through proper diet and exercise. She may also require patience and understanding as she adjusts to life outside of breeding. She will be happier as an only dog and getting all the attention from her new family. If you're interested in giving Waddles the loving home she deserves, please fill out an adoption application and we will be in touch with you.
