Story
Barney was found curled up on the side of a country Road. He was shy and nervous when first brought home. Now he is confident and happy, learning how to be a family dog. He is sweet, loving, mellow, goofy with a nice watch dog bark. He like being around my dogs but loves being around people even more. He was calm around my cats at first now he has gotten comfortable around them and chases. We are working on that and seeing improvements. We use an e-collar to which he responds well. He is sensitive when it comes to correction and doesnt like to be in trouble. Overall, he is an awesome dog. If I didnt have 3 already, I would keep him in a heartbeat! Asking for rehoming fee to cover neuter, vaccines and microchip which he recently received.

Story
Meet Echo – The Sweetest Deaf Australian Shepherd Puppy! Do you need a darling puppy to bring joy and love into your life? Echo might be just the one! This adorable 12-14 week-old, blue eyed, 18-pound Australian Shepherd is a stunning white and merle boy who looks like he’s purebred. Found dumped on the edge of town, Thankfully, a kind family has taken him in and are fostering him. Echo was likely abandoned because he’s deaf. But don’t let that stop you—he’s a quick learner and has already made incredible progress! He’s well on his way to being potty trained, crate trained, and leash trained. His foster family has even started training him with a vibration collar, and he responds beautifully to signals like flipping the porch light off and on to call him back when going outside to potty at night time. Echo is vaccinated, microchipped, and will be neutered and receive his rabies shot when he’s a little older. He’s looking for a family with breed experience and preferably familiarity with deaf dogs to help him thrive. If you’re interested in giving this special boy a forever home, please contact us to learn more about Echo. Here is a list of things that should help us answer you in a more timely manner. 1. When you apply please always use the same email address. If we need to look something up later and you used a different email we are often not able to find it. 2. Adopt a Pet and Petfinders ask you to send us an enquiry. This always delays our response. (Why) a. Our biographies are always very detailed. Therefore sending an enquiry asking us to repeat what it says in the biography causes a lot more work and delays our response. b. We are a small non-profit and do not always have the help to answer as many enquiries as we get. c. Again our Biographies are very detailed and if you just click the link near the bottom of their bio you can fill out an application which we will respond to. 3. For the AFC website (scroll down to the bio at the bottom it says (apply to adopt today- click that link) www.animalfriendsconnect.org 4. For Petfinders ( scroll down to the biography then click the adoption link) http://animalfriendsconnect.org/adoption-application-dogs/ 5. For Adopt a Pet (scroll way down past “Ask about me”) you will see the biography and underneath that will be the adoption questionnaire link. Story
Dancer was left at a distant shelter as a under-aged puppy at 6 weeks old. He was dirty and timid so the shelter put him with Prancer cattle dog mix puppy also 6 weeks old. We rescued both of them and now they are doing great at their hero puppy foster home. They will get a great start since their foster home is also a trainer. Both are playful and adorable. Dancer seems to be the more outgoing one. More info. to come as they relax and learn. Dancer is more outgoing than Prancer Video from first 2 hours at their foster home. So cute. https://www.facebook.com/FFRescue/videos/1100628651741940 Update from Foster Home 1/3/25: Dancer has grown quite a bit and he is quite a busy guy. More active. He likes to cuddle but he also will wiggle out of your arms if he is full of energy. He can climb over the 2’ dog puppy pen. No cats. He has a confident and maybe sport dog type of personality. 10/30/25: Poor Dancer is now 1 year old and needs another foster home due to the foster home's 5 year grandson that visits often and even though Dancer grew up with kids coming over he now gets to excited and play nipped the grandson's ear. No broken skin but of course scared the kid and fh. Dancer needs a adult foster home that can guide him and understand cattle dog behaviors. Continue training. In the past he did attend a dozen puppy socials at Zoom Room. Great with other dogs. Now he has teenager energy and can get to excited in play. Need to guide him to calm and listen to commands. FB Video of Dancer and FH's dog playing. So sweet. https://www.facebook.com/FFRescue/videos/1685164315473825October 31, 2025, 12:29 am

Story
Madison is a sweet and loving dog that enjoys belly rubs and a good play session. She is timid and shy at first and takes about 5 minutes to warm up to new people due to prior neglect, but once she is comfortable she is your new best friend. Madison is still a puppy and has a lot of energy to expel. She loves going to the park and seeing playmates and almost any type of physical activity she is down to do. Madison is highly treat motivated and will sit, lay down, stay, and shake for a treat. She is a curious pup and the world is her oyster. Madison has not met any cats but is suspected to do fine and she has not been around children but with proper introductions she is also suspected to do fine. Madison hasn't met any dogs off leash but does fine with dogs being around her on and off leash. Madison is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and chipped. All Better World Rescue dogs come with complimentary group or private training to ensure a successful adoption. If you're interested in meeting Madison, please fill out an application and a volunteer will reach out. betterworldrescue.org/adoption-application
