Sometimes the pets appear to be a particular breed(s) in the pictures we receive from our rescue partners and when they arrive we are surprised to see an entirely different breed(s) in person!  If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess. It is with deep longing that we wish there was a breed called "cute" as we believe all of our dogs would fall under this new breed classification! Story
Hi there! My name is Dutch and I'd love to be your new best friend. I am a pretty big boy for my age and am loving my foster home. I enjoy running around with toys playing keep away from my canine foster brothers. I have lots of energy just like any puppy my age and will need lots of exercise and patience as I learn. My foster family is teaching me what things around the house I can chew on and what things are what my foster mom calls no-nos. I am doing really well with potty training and I haven't had an accident in the house in a long time. I spend my time in a kennel while my foster family is away and don't put up too much of a fuss. I also sleep in my kennel overnight and sleep through the night after running out all of my energy before going to bed.  I love everyone I meet inlcuding children of all ages. I have been told that I have the happiest demeanor ever and wouldn't hurt a fly. I've never met a cat but I would be curious about them and probably try to play with them but I would not harm them. I am a very busy boy and very very active. I have been diagnosed with a low-grade heart murmur (grade 2 of 6), but I had a great visit with a cardiologist at Animal Emergency and Referral Center. Thankfully, they tell me that it’s unlikely to cause any complications in the future and shouldn’t impact me.  It’s a good idea, during my yearly wellness exam, that we check on it to be sure nothing changes. I can't wait to grow up and learn how to be the best boy ever in my forever home. Let's meet each other soon! Completion of an Adoption Application via our website (www.RescueCrew.org) is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is the first step in the adoption process. All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a physical location where you can stop by to visit the animals - we require the completion of an Adoption Application prior to meeting any of our adoptable pets in foster care. For the most complete information regarding this animal, and all of our adoptable pets, please ensure you are visiting our website directly at www.RescueCrew.org. You can also access the necessary online adoption application here as well. ##1749756##

Hi, I'm Rose! What in carnation? How's an adorable puppy like me unable to find adopters? I'm cute, patient, sweet, and well-behaved. My momma taught us how to be polite, gentle and kind just like she is! Roses can be many things; like vibrant and energetic or still and calm ... I'm a puppy so I'll be a mixed bag of things for now. Some basic information about Rose; she is 10-months old, female, Anatolian Shepherd mix, and is expected to be large-sized (60-99lbs) when fully grown. Local adoption fee is $250 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $500 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please check below to see what upcoming adoption events I will be attending or apply here for a private meeting.  If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there***   DOB: 02/08/2021 Requires another dog in home: No, picky about her friends Okay with dogs of all sizes: Not good with small dogs - read more in profile  Okay with cats: No, unless dog savvy cat  Okay with children under 12 years old: Older, considerate kids only Weight: 34 lbs Requires a fenced yard: No Note: dogs must always be leashed whenever outside of a contained area. Invisible/ underground fencing is not recommended for most rescue dogs. Hello, my name is Raquel. I am a stunning, wrinkly-faced young adult female Belgian Malinois/Boxer mix with an adorable underbite who’s the perfect mix of energetic and relaxed. That said, I can be a bit reactive when it comes to other dogs and I have been known to whimper, bark, lunge, or even bite at them. Little dogs like Pugs or Bulldogs seem to be a trigger for me so although I would love to have a doggie companion at my new home, he/she would need to be a larger, alpha dog who’s already established in the home. I am, after all, a great guard dog and will think of the home as ‘MINE’ if another dog is brought in after me. Additionally, I’m a bit of a follower which means I like to follow the pack so if other dogs are fighting, I will too. That said, I did go to a training facility where there was 30+ dogs and I did great so I think with time, patience, and continued training I will overcome these quirks of mine!!  Anyway, my favorite activities include spending time with and shadowing my people (even kids); going for leashed walks; chasing squirrels, bunnies, or birds (if given the chance); snoozing on the couch; eating food; playing with my toys; chilling with my resident doggie sib; running zoomies in a fenced yard; barking at the strangers/noises outside; and playing hide-n-seek with the cat. I admit I have a high prey drive, but I do well with a cat that can keep me in line! Hee, hee!!  I don't require a fenced in yard, but if you don't have one, I need a home who can give me a walk or run each day.  I don’t like a lot of commotion and if strangers come into the house when foster mom’s not there, I have been known to get a little uneasy and that can come out in the form of a growl or snap.  I am a very smart girl who will not only give myself a ‘time-out’ in my kennel if I’m barking too much but I am potty trained and I know commands like “sit”, “down”, “kennel/crate”, and “heel”! Seriously, how brilliant am I!!?!! I am a great listener too which makes training a lot easier!  I know that I’m a bit unpredictable right now but I’m still young and I really am a sweetheart who simply wants to find unconditional love in my own furever home with a patient family who will NEVER give up on me! My heart is SO full of love that I really want to share with YOU…please be my new family, I assure you I’m worth it! Love Raquel NOTE: Raquel has had a DNA test and is 38% Belgian Malinois, 18% Boxer and 17% American Pitbull Terrier Note that this dog has been treated for heartworm  and will need monthly heartworm preventatives year round for life.  Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders.  Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit.  Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.      ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there***  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated as the foster home RSVP's to attend. Invisible/ underground fencing is not recommended for most rescue dogs. Hello! My name is Zeus and I have one of the most handsome faces you will ever see! I came to MN from a shelter in Arkansas and I’m so happy my friends at Underdog are taking such great care of me! I wasn’t in the best shape and my dear foster family is feeding me healthy foods, giving me medicated baths to take care of my skin issues and helping me heal. You would not believe how much my skin has healed and how amazing it feels to have healthy fur!  When I came, I had very little fur and my vet team thinks I was eating bad foods (maybe from eating off the streets) and was malnourished.  They also think I was having issues that were caused from past over use of antibiotics because some meds we tried didn't seem to phase me.  I don't recall my full past, so it's been quite the journey, but this new life full of love and attention is just SO great! I cant wait for my own forever family to find me.   I am great with all the other dogs in my foster home – there are an assortment of dogs and I am a very gentle and good boy with everyone. I like to clean their ears and be near my friends. I love to play with dogs my size, but because my medication I can become a little overstimulated over food or super yummy treats so will need to be supervised. I was very malnourished before coming to Underdog so put a lot of value on my food. To help with this, all the dogs in my foster home are fed separately. Speaking of meal time – I do have a special diet so my skin issues don’t flair up again. I like Raw Bistro beef or bison. My foster family has tried so many foods before they found one that wouldn’t irritate my skin. We tried kibble, canned food, vet prescribed food and thankfully found a quality raw food. I love it! I will need my forever family to continually monitor my skin issues and be in touch with a vet if I start to have flair ups again. My ideal home would have dogs my size or smaller that will respect my space when I have food or treats. I don’t really like getting bossed around so a dog that doesn’t demonstrate dominate traits would be a good match. I am doing great with all my dog skills – I am crate trained and potty trained. But … I have a little secret. I do dribble a little pee when I sleep so my people put a potty pad in my bed just in case. Embarrassing, right? I’m trying my best but likely it is because my medications. I don’t need a fenced yard in my forever home but would appreciate it so we can run around the play. All I need now is a forever home with lots of patience, unconditional love and a big ol’ dog bed for me to relax. Can’t wait to meet you! Invisible/ underground fencing is not recommended for most rescue dogs. Hi I'm Paris!  I'm a gorgeous girl with the most beautiful coloring!  I'm a sweet loving girl who adores attention.  I adore a good bootie scratch and kisses ear rubs.  I don't always realize how big I am and I will jump up for hugs.  I'm working on keeping all my feet on the floor, but I do try to be gentle when I do it.  I know with some obedience training I'll learn not to do that...unless you like it haha!  I enjoy food and I'm gentle when taking food.  I'm kennel trained and I'm quiet in it.  So far I've had no accidents in my foster home.  Nice right?  I walk and potty on leash.  I pull a bit, but I just need more practice.  My foster mama says I'm not a bad puller though.  I'm good with other big dogs though I haven't met any little ones.  I don't realize that I'm a big lady so little kids would likely get knocked over if they are in my home.  Bigger kids should be just fine though! I'm basically a big puppy and I'm eager to learn and share my love.  I promise to be the best girl and give you all my love! Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders.  Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared.  Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption.  This will be at the adopters expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses .   Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue.   Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans.
