This handsome boy was picked up running at large and based on Facebook posts it was about his third or fourth offense, but no one claimed him. We are guessing that he was a failure at being a livestock guardian because he’s way too social. He’s always wanting to visit someone new. Charlie is a little over a year old and weighs 121 lbs. He was very thin when he first came to us but is now at his perfect weight. He is neutered, up to date on required vaccines, microchipped and heartworm tested negative. He’s house trained and he loves other dogs, but he is a big guy. He also will require a tall fence, and you will have to keep an eye on him because again he likes to visit new people. He also has an obsession with deer! For that reason, a privacy fence would be ideal if you have deer around your home. He’s affectionate and likes to lean on you. He is learning commands like sit and stay and he really tries to please! This is what his foster mom says about him " Charlie is amazing. He is housebroken, loves to be hugged, hasn’t chewed anything up, likes to play but is content just to chill. He walks beautifully on a leash and likes to say hi to everyone he meets. Charlie enjoys sitting and looking out the window, hanging around in the kitchen especially when I’m cooking and going for car rides". Although this breed is known for having a stubborn streak, Charlie seems to understand a few commands wait, it’s ok, no, come, let’s go and he will even sit for a treat. But his favorite is Good Boy Charlie❤️" This guy would be a great dog for an active loving family. He’s so sweet! Highway (HWY) is a very good-looking boy. He is very high Anatolian Shepherd. HWY was named Highway because he was found on Highway 51. in West TN. A girl that his foster mom knows saw a car pull over on the side of the highway and put him out. She pulled over and saved him. He was really scared when we first got him. He has come a long way but can still be shy at times. He needs someone willing to be patient with him. He catches on pretty quick. He’s playful and knows “ sit” already. He loves other dogs. Walks really well on leash. He actually would do very well with an avid walker/runner. He does likes o ride in the car. He will require additional potty/house training as he is still a pup. Sasha came to us from ACCT Philly after being surrendered by her previous owner due to a change in work schedule. At 70 pounds, she's a big girl with an even bigger heart. According to her former owner, Sasha is affectionate, food-motivated, housebroken, and partially crate trained. She knows basic commands like "sit" and "come" and walks nicely on a leash. She was reported to be friendly with children, curious about cats, and playful with other dogs. Since arriving with us, Sasha has been a little unsure of herself as she adjusts to all the changes in her life. Our volunteers have been spending plenty of time with her, helping her build confidence and reminding her just how loved she is. Each day, we're seeing more of the sweet girl she's meant to be. Sasha is looking for a family that will give her the patience, kindness, and stability she deserves. This handsome boy named Bacon was born to a momma dog named Beverly and saved by our rescue. Beverly was pregnant when we pulled her from a shelter minutes before euthanasia and we were not aware she was pregnant at the time. Beverly gave birth to 11 most adorable puppies and they are approximately 2 months old now and roughly 6-7 lbs. We are looking for homes for the entire sweet litter (6 boys, 5 girls). All are very special in their own way. Bacon is a heartbreaker already! He has the sweetest face and personality. He is gentle and loveable. Bacon loves playing with his brothers and sisters. All puppies have received first vaccinations and are ready for adoption. They will be in foster status until spay/neutered when they are old enough.
