Story
Theo’s journey brought him to us from a high-intake shelter we partner with, and while we’re so grateful he’s here, it’s clear that all the recent changes have left him feeling a little unsure. New sights, new sounds, and a new routine can be overwhelming, especially for a sensitive soul like Theo. But underneath that nervous exterior is a calm, incredibly sweet boy who just needs a little time to feel safe. Theo is the kind of dog who blossoms when given patience and understanding. He does well with other dogs and seems to find comfort in their presence. And when he has the chance to run around and explore, you can see his true personality shine — his body relaxes, his curiosity takes over, and he becomes a completely different dog than when he’s feeling confined. It’s in those moments you catch a glimpse of the happy, carefree companion he’s meant to be. Theo is looking for a loving home willing to move at his pace — a family who understands that trust takes time and that confidence grows with kindness. With patience, encouragement, and a safe place to land, we know Theo will thrive and become a deeply devoted companion. We can’t wait to see him finally settle into a home where he feels secure, cherished, and truly loved.

Hi there, my name is Wizard! Isn`t that that coolest name everrr! I mean who doesn`t want their very own personal wizard? I may be a little unsure with you at first but with your patience and my magical powers we could build the greatest most powerful friendship in the whole world! I do really well with my friends here in playgroup, but I`m unsure how I would react towards other pups or children so if you have either please bring them on in so we could meet each other. I am looking forward to meeting that perfect companion that I will cast my spell on, so we can take on the world together forever!

Story
Meet Denali! Denali is a 3.5-month-old, 35 lb. Anatolian Shepherd mix with the most unique look — a large-breed pup in a low-rider, long body (we suspect he may be mixed with something like a Basset Hound!). He’s truly one of a kind. Denali loves being part of a pack. He absolutely enjoys playing with other dogs and would thrive in a home with active canine companions and kids to grow up with. He’s fun-loving, playful, and full of personality. He responds well to correction and can be redirected easily. He would do best with an experienced owner who understands how to appropriately correct and guide Denali. In just two weeks, Denali has made incredible progress — it’s truly night and day from where he started. Any minor behaviors we’ve seen are already improving and are expected to continue fading with time, consistency, and structure. Denali was found as a stray, but you’d never guess it from his adventurous spirit. He isn’t afraid to explore new environments and has already learned to use the stairs in just a day! He uses pee pads and is picking up house training quickly. He is crate trained, though he does have a little separation anxiety likely due to his early circumstances. With patience and reassurance, he continues to gain confidence. His superpowers include epic puppy zoomies, bouncing all over the house, and bringing nonstop joy with his playful energy. He loves teething toys, tennis balls, and anything that squeaks. Despite loving other dogs, Denali is very human-oriented. He adores his people and just wants to please them. He thinks he’s a lap dog and would happily snuggle up on the couch to watch TV with you after a day of adventures. Denali is happiest when he’s learning new tricks, exploring with his humans, or cuddling close. He needs a patient, confident handler who can continue to help him grow into the loyal, devoted companion he’s meant to be. If you’re looking for a unique dog with a huge personality, playful spirit, and endless love to give, Denali may just be your perfect match. Denali is currently being fostered in the Cincinnati, OH area. His adoption fee is $275.00. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
Hello interested Adopter. My name is Lilith, but my foster fam always calls me "Momma". You see back in October '24 a foster said "Yes" to not only me...but my week old babies as well! MVPC saved our lives. I had wonky legs at intake, but everyone hoped and thought that crate rest with my babies would help. Well, come to find out, I'm just wonky. I don't remember how old I am, but I did have these babies later in life. After visiting the vet it was determined that I have hip dysplasia in the back and a wonky elbow in the front. This combination makes amputation of my front leg impossible. I will always need to remain on joint supplements. MVPC sees that I am a happy girl who has lots of love to give. I seem to be pain free for now, so I am now up for adoption. I would do best with a family who is used to senior dog issues. I am currently fostered in a home with male and female dogs of all shapes, sizes and energy levels. After years of neglect and countless litters of puppies, I'm looking for a sweet retirement home. I can't wait to meet you! ADOPTION FEE: $300 (All MVPC dogs are heartworm-tested and on prevention, completely vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, crate-trained and house-trained) ADOPTER: Dog experience BIRTHDAY: est. 10/17/2015 FENCE: Required (an electric fence is not an acceptable form of containment) DOG FRIENDLY: Yes DOGS IN HOME: Required CATS: Unknown CHILDREN: Yes, 8 and over I AM READY TO GO HOME - If you are approved to be my new family, a hold fee of $100 is required and will be applied to the full adoption fee of $300 when MVPC comes to visit your house with me! ***WE DO NOT HOLD DOGS. IF YOU ARE GOING ON VACATION OR ARE NOT YET READY TO PROCEED PLEASE APPLY WHEN YOU ARE.*** INQUIRIES: ALL inquiries begin with a submitted adoption application, which is found on our website, www.miamivalleypitcrew.com. We do not adopt to individuals under the age of 25. DO NOT: USE THE PETFINDER CONTACT/ADOPT BUTTONS--we are unable to monitor those and you will not receive a response. PLEASE NOTE: We are volunteer based and a home visit is required; we have a two-hour adoption radius from Kettering, OH for our adult dogs and 75 miles for our puppies. Exceptions for our ADULT dogs only, though rare, may be made on a case-by-case basis but we must be able to do a home visit. Thank you for your understanding! Story
Byndi is a 2-year-old female presumed to be a Dane mix. She comes to us as a stray found by one of our fosters. A sleek black coat and mesmerizing dual eye color, she is a beautiful young lady. She is also a lady with manners, waiting patiently for food and gently taking treats, and is potty and crate trained. Byndi is Young and very playful, often happily carrying toys around with her. She seems to be an all-weather dog, having a grand old time playing in the snow and takes any opportunity to stretch her legs and have a good run. A family with a larger yard or an active lifestyle would be a lovely fit. Exercise will be important. She has had limited experience with cats, but has had good temperament thus far. Byndi has warmed up to people faster than she has to dogs. She seems to be intimidated by larger or more dominant dogs, but has had more playful and relaxed encounters with smaller companions. A home with smaller children might be on the overwhelming side for Byndi, older children would be a better pairing. She is still young and learning boundries. She is still very much in the middle of decompression and has attached herself to her foster mom quickly. Byndi seems to be protective of her person and will need slow introduction to house guests until trust is earned and a routine is built. We are working with a trainer to help ease her anxiety with all the change and finding positive ways to build trust and love. Showing Byndi that the past doesn't have to define her future, and that kindness exists in the world. Byndi has a lot of love and wiggles to give. We believe once Byndi understands she is safe and comfortable, she has all the potential to be the best companion for years to come. All Paw Patrol Dayton animals come snip, chipped, tested and treated. Her adoption fee is $285 to help keep the love train rolling. All of our animals are vaccinated, micro-chipped and spayed/neutered before being adopted.

Story
Monster is an akc registered Great Dane. He was a surprise gift and I’ve had him since he was 10 weeks old. He will be 5 in May. He is really a super sweet boy. Lately him and my other dog have been fighting constantly. My other dog is a 9 year old female pitbull who has always been the alpha and doesn’t take kindly to Monster trying to overstep. Monster would be best fitted in a home where he is the only dog. He does very well with cats and kids. He is an absolute unit, about 140 pounds. He is due for his yearly shots but aside from that he is up to date. He is prone to ear infections. We love him so much and just want him to be in a safe and loving environment. He will steal your heart and any strawberries you leave in his reach.
