Meet Rufus Allen Poe! Rufus was abandoned in a house along with 10 other dogs and a ton of cats. Fortunately, he was one of the lucky ones who made it out on the other side. Rufus doesn’t hold a grudge tho, and is the perfect dog according to his foster family. This sweet boy is around 1-2 years old. He’s great with other dogs and fantastic with cats, even kittens! He is completely potty trained, crate trained, and can sleep in bed all night, too. Apply today to give this amazing boy the loving family he deserves! He is up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, neutered and microchipped. Adoption fee is $200. She was abandoned in a house along with 10 other dogs and a ton of cats. Fortunately she was one of the doggos who made it out on the other side. As if her life wasn’t traumatic enough, she was scheduled to be euthanized before Adopt a Pit saved her and brought her to her foster family!    All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application. We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information. We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. Meet Jameson! She is a 100 pound, 2 year old female, Great Dane, currently in the care of Hart! She has been in rescue since January and has made tremendous progress. She doesn’t love everyone but when she does love you she wants to rub her whole body against you and do everything with you and be everywhere you are. She loves hard and big! Her perfect home would be with adults or if there are kids, older teenagers who are dog savvy and a lower traffic home. She likely had little to no socialization in her first 2 years so she’s learning how to act and she’s a fast learner! She has made great progress with other dogs but may not be ready to share her people just yet. Ariel is of moderate energy, loves playing with her siblings and getting cuddles from her people. At 3 months old and 20lbs she will be on the larger size of 60-80ish lbs when fully grown. So you can let the fun begin! Your little side kick thru thick and thin. Your cuddle buddy, your confidant, your travel companion, your stroll taking/hiking pawtner, whatever you want to do, where ever you want to go, she'll be happy to be right there with you. As with any puppy, she will need lots of playtime and exercise but with that in, she should do fine with living in town with a yard, out in the country or anywhere in between. Energetic and playful, sweet and loving, she so definitely has got the cuteness thing going on. What more could you ask for. Ariel's got a boatload of great personality traits going on.
